“I've been with startrescue for many years, touch would I've never had a breakdown etc. i k ow that if I did I've got the relevant cover in place to sort it out! The app to report a breakdown is really good and easy to use. Value for money, peace of mind.”

“Had motorbike breakdown few years ago very close to home. Can’t put a time on how long it took to get to me but it certainly wasn’t a huge amount. Think it was garage at St Just who arrived Happy to take me back home ( literally couple of miles) came out in van secured bike in back all good. I recommend my friends to you just simply based on this experience.”

“I have been with Start Rescue for several years. In this time I have needed to them out a couple of times, once in Italy and once at home. Both times help arrived in good time and did their best. Neither time was the problem possible to fix on the spot, computer once, battery once. I am sorry that they have a ten year limit on the age if cars because my current 2020 VW Transporter is going to have to last until I no longer want to pull a caravan. They are too dear to keep replacing and EVs hopeless for towing over long distances. My cars are always regularly serviced and looked after. Doesn’t stop breakdowns, tho. Lol”

“I have had a family Start Rescue plan for many years now, and have always saved money on the annual renewal, on the few occations where it was needed, we had no trouble getting the cars recovered or repaired.”

“I have only had to use Start Rescue once when towing a caravan. We were in Scotland car broke down they put the car on a lorry towed the caravan all the way home to Hereford. Very good service absolute excellent.”

“Always there, easy to talk to and they make sure you understand the process fully. They also tend to overestimate arrival times for the mechanic/engineer. Still with them after about a decade or more and I renew every year because of their extremely high service level. Wouldn't dream of going elsewhere.”

“I have been with Start Rescue a few years now. Not sure how many times I've used them as my partner is also with them. Between us I believe it's about 3 times over the years. One criticism is it would be nice to be called about the yearly rate as opposed to just an email. I missed seeing it this year and the renewal was taken automatically without negotiation. Other than that I'm pleased to know I'm covered.”

“What I hate is companies that take money a few days before the renewal while looking for alternatives because the price has increased by 20%.”

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, your opinion matters to us. We always aim to make sure that nobody is left without cover if they mean to renew their policy. As such, when a policy is set to automatically renew, we attempt to take payment up to two days before its renewal date to ensure that if there is any issue with payment, we can contact you to resolve it. In order to keep customers informed, communication on when payment will be taken is outlined in the renewal notification, which is sent 30 days prior to the renewal date. “Bought as a separate policy for my motorbike. Hopefully will never need to use their services but it gives peace of mind. Not thrilled about pricing though...only £34 for the year but nearly 60% of the cost is basically admin/commission!”
