“I am extremely disappointed with Start Rescue and feel let down by the way this matter has been handled. I originally purchased my policy through Virgin Shops specifically because I expected to receive Virgin Atlantic points. When the points were initially cancelled, I raised the issue and was subsequently contacted directly by Start Rescue's customer service team. I genuinely appreciated the personal contact and the effort made to resolve the situation. The points were eventually awarded, and because of this, I changed my original negative review and posted a positive one, giving Start Rescue credit for the way the matter had been handled. However, just five days after I posted my positive review, the Virgin Atlantic points were cancelled again. I find this extremely disappointing and, frankly, very difficult to understand. After making the effort to contact me, resolve the issue and receive a positive review as a result, cancelling the points again only a few days later feels particularly opportunistic. It leaves me questioning the sincerity of the original resolution and makes me feel that the goodwill I showed towards the company was not reciprocated. If a company tells a customer that an issue has been resolved, the customer should reasonably be able to trust that resolution. Having the points withdrawn again after I had publicly praised the company feels unfair and has completely undermined my confidence in Start Rescue. I have now changed my review back because I cannot honestly recommend a company based on an apparently positive resolution that was subsequently reversed. This experience has left me feeling cheated and extremely dissatisfied. The issue is no longer simply about the value of the Virgin points; it is about trust, transparency and how a customer is treated. A very disappointing experience, particularly after I gave Start Rescue the benefit of the doubt and publicly praised their customer service.”
