“I have used Start in the past and service is more or less the same as other breakdown servicies. The proof will be when I have to use it. These days its seems everyone wants you to use an app and not talk to someone human. I chose start becuase they offered value for money and it was quite simple to set up. There were slightly cheaper prices out there but they were brands I have never heard off”

“I have been with Greenflag for years whose prices have been jumping up every year, and Startrescue's price was about a third of my latest renewal quote from them, for a similar level of cover. Breakdown recovery is a service no one wants to have to use, and likely a very small percentage of drivers ever need, so maintaining reasonable and competitive charges is very important. Their service quality remains to be seen, but is something I hope never to have to test!”

“I have renewed twice with Start based on previous experience. I've had to call them twice and my wife and daughter have called them as well. We have found them to be reliable and efficient. I was however, disappointed that the annual premium went up from £47 to £67 (minus a £7 loyalty bonus) I think it's a hard to justify that percentage increase.,”

“Can,t give a honest answer as I only joined one day ago but can say the AA increased our premium of £68.90 by 300% even Dick Turpin wore a mask before he mugged you !”
