“Have been with start for many years. Only had to call them out once when I put the wrong fuel in! Always very easy to renew and the price is always competitive.”

“Having been a start rescue customer for many years without a call out. When I needed assistance the team were decidedly unhelpful and if I had needed assistance urgently I would probably still be waiting. I thought I had informed them of a change of car but it wasnt on their records. I didn't have home start so wanted to charge me 125 pounds to attend but would probably have to wait till the following day when they could open the email I was asked to send with photo proof of how long I had had my new car.”

Unfortunately, the vehicle you required assistance for on this occasion was not covered by your policy, our Customer Service Team have attempted to contact you today and will attempt to contact you again to discuss updating the vehicle on cover. On this occasion the level of cover you have purchased does not cover breakdowns at or within 1/4 mile of your home address and this is the reason why our Breakdown Team offered our Pay On Use service. “Last winter l had problems starting my car, at home, in the freezing weather. The responder charged my battery and told me to drive about 15 + miles, the second that l needed a new battery and where l could get another fitted. Which l did. Both times assistance came t l my home location very quickly”

“I have had to use the service a couple of times over the past years and as an elderly solo driver I have not been let down. On one occasion the mechanic came from some way away as drivers were out on calls but I was kept advised of the time line and asked after my welfare (ie. was I in a safe spot etc.) Its often the reassurance that someone is dealing with things.”

“We have had to use a couple of times and have only waited about half an hour for assistance. As they were local to where we had broken down they knew exactly where we were. Really happy with the service and the app is so easy to use”
