“Hit a pothole and cracked a wheel. Excellent service, rang multiple times keeping me updated with recovery and to make sure I was safe as I was on a dual carriageway.”

“I’ve been a member of Start Rescue for over 5 years and have used them a couple of times during that time. On both occasions, the rescue service was quick, professional, and completely hassle-free. I’ve had no issues at all with the service. Highly recomend”

“When my car broke down in a remote location far from home with a long journey ahead I was put at ease by the calm, helpful, friendly and practical advise from your operator on the phone. It was very reassuring, and before too long the local mechanic was on hand to look at the problem. He too was very helpful and after looking at the problem and doing a fix shadowed me for a good number of miles in order to reassure me that I could continue the journey. I made it home and was able to go to my local garage to fix the issue long term. Thank you!”

“I was aggreived that Start would no longer cover my vehicle abroad because it is now over 10 years old. They say it's their 'policy', yet many other breakdown insurance providers still offer cover abroad for older vehicles. It does not inspire customer loyalty.”

The availability of our cover and all pricing takes into account the risk factors related to the vehicle breaking down and as such, we presently don't offer European cover to vehicles over 10 years of age. “Although, thankfully I have not needed call out for a breakdown, being with Start Rescue for sometime it gives me reassurance that should it be necessary the service is there. A plus point this year was that renewal cost was only a few pounds, unlike other services, which was very welcome in these time of ever increasing motoring costs.”

“Needed your breakdown service last year. I was on my own in car so I as quite stressed. Your breakdown service was quick and reassuring.”

“They insisted on my wife downloading and using thier app to sort out a breakdown on a busy carriageway. Far from ideal. And the app didn't really work that well because incomplete info was given to the guy that turned up for the breakdown. Again another cmpany/organisation that doesn't want to SPEAK to customers. Not particularly impressed.”

Hello Robert, Thank you for your feedback. We provide various ways to report a breakdown. Alongside our app, we do also have the facility for customers to telephone us to request assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 01206 785999. When calling our breakdown service line, there is an option to self serve or continue the call and speak to one of our rescue coordinators, so please rest assured that we are always reachable by phone. “A new year a new policy. When I needed them Start Rescue were there quickly and provided a great service. I've renewed my policy with them because of the great service I received and hence know what I am getting plus at a very competitive price. The Start Rescue app is also very easy to set up and use.”
