I first joined Start Rescue because of the price - it was good value. The first renewal came, and the price had gone down, so even better. Then, at the second renewal, the price jumped by 70%, even though I had never made a claim. It seems the price is based on the age of the vehicle, so mine now being 5 years old, the price was hiked. After a little bargaining, I managed to get a small discount, which made the price competitive, so went ahead again. I do not agree that the age of the vehicle should determine the price of breakdown cover - a well-maintained older vehicle is no more likely to break down than a poorly maintained newer one. Price should be based on the number of call outs.

I only purchased yesterday and it will start in August so not much to say except I'm finding it difficult to get a log in so that I can look at paperwork.

The only reason for the middle of the road score is the policy reference number is not 16 digit so could not log into the app etc

Website wouldn't let me into my account online. Requested password reset. Got email with code, but code wouldn't work. Contacted some one on live chat who kept wanting to speak to me on the phone despite me telling them several times I was deaf and communicate via text/email. Eventually they understood and sent me a code to get into my online account so I could pay my renewal premium

The site is just what you need, just 3 options of breakdown cover no filling in long forms asking questions that aren't relevent. Easy to use just a click away to what breakdown you require. Thanks for taking the mundane effort of filling out forms away. Many thanks previous customer and hopefully ongoing customer.
