“Poor response time for a female alone. Attendance only after a second call from me. On a second call-out I finally got the vehicle started after two hours wait at 11pm no help arrived. Cancelled call-out. Fault found and fixed two days later at local garage. Hopefully you will do better if I have to call again.”

“I have been with Start rescue for many years, up to now I have not had to call them out. There are many break down organizations now on the market and there prices are alot lower than Start rescue. This should be reflected by the prices that Start rescue offer especially to long standing customers who have never claimed”

“you do deserve more, but im not happy about your policy once you have put a car on a policy and you get rid of that car you cannot cancel and get a refund of the remaining period even if its got ten months to run.”

“Reasonably easy to purchase via the telephone, although a handy courtesy contact card to keep in a wallet would be preferable together with hard copy documents would be more than welcome as an option. Personally, I'm truly sick and tired of relying on the www and App's for anything.”

“Their renewal systems tried give me cover i didn't need and tried to bill me too much. When i used them they have an indian call centre - person wasn't very pleasant and fairly obstructive and thought i'd got a caravan (I was on a motorbike). They did recover me to where i needed to go in the end tho and they are cheaper than others.”

“I renewed my Start Rescue by phone a week before the due date. I received an email after the previous contract had finished telling me I was out of contract. All sorted when I rang to find out what the problem was. I am not happy about this because if I had broken down in the mean time it may have been a problem”

Hi Andrew, thank you for your feedback. Our renewal prices are partly determined by the vehicle age on cover, as certain age groups of vehicle are more likely to break down. As your vehicle moved into our next age category there was an increase in your renewal price. However, as we value our returning customers, renewal savings are automatically applied to all renewal quotes to ensure that you never pay more than a new customer for equivalent cover with us. If you are unhappy with the price when you receive your next renewal quote, please get in touch with our Customer Services Team, who may be able to apply a discretionary discount based on your history with us. “I have not yet had to use their service so cannot comment on that. However they offer the same service as the other company I was with, but at a much cheaper price. Also they cover both of our cars, even the older car, reg.in 2006, which the other company would not do.”
