Beware: they advertise the breakdown policy as including legal expenses https://www.startrescue.co.uk/breakdown-cover/info/legal-expenses , but the policy DOES NOT include legal expenses. They've been told, but they're still knowingly misleading their customers.

I was not informed that my service would be automatically renewed. The first I knew about it was an e-mail telling me that my credit card payment had failed. I had no time to search for alternatives, so I renewed. I would appreciate being informed well in advance next year.

I ended up paying a second time as the first payment didn't go through your payment system, I'm still waiting for my refund of the £40 could you look in to this for me thanks?

On the verge of not renewing because the website had no `Pay now` button and representatives I called could not accept my card details.

recomended pricewise from friend, nightmare experience took my money in seconds but i never recieved confirmation emails, live chat person didnt have a clue and when i asked for someone who understants they ended up cancelling policy and telling me a payment which took seconds to take will be 3 to 5 days to be returned leaving me not to be acle to afford to purchase elsewhere

Very poor had to take new policy as you wanted £17 to change one detail on a policy I wanted to transfer to my wife's car , terrible way to treat a blue light card holder.

Our vehicle age categories are as follows: 0-5 years, 6-10 years, 11-15 years, 16-19 years and 20 years plus. If your new vehicle is within an older age bracket, this does result in a fee for changing the vehicles over. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. When i got the message to renue i reneud the policy, day before found out it did not go through, had to do it all over again, i could have been running around with no cover, not good.

I have been with the company for a long time but after my recent renewal you have gone down in my estimations, when I renewed you took 2 payments of£25.20 out of my account a so-called shadow payment, when a payment is authorised by the bank there is no reason to take 2 payments to cover yourselves, and I have had no feedback from your customer service department after I sent them proof very poor.

I was charged £9.85 on a first credit card that they said was declined and paid my renewal premium in full on another credit card. I was then charged another £9.85 extra on the second card. After two calls, I now await a refund from them for £19.70. Also their customer lounge would not let me renew my premium direct as it stored an out of date credit card and I was unable to edit stored or add new cards into the system.

Charged twice for same transaction due to an error on your site. My bank then contacted me as it flagged as potential fraud and now my card has been blocked which I have no got to sort out. Your customer service team were responsive and are arranging a refund but this has caused me a good deal of hassle. No a great first experience!

Although am willing to keep my breakdown service I didn't ask for it to be renewed automatically, this is extremely annoying and don't know why some companies think it's ok to do this.
