“I am actually satisfied with the new version of SoundID Reference. The corrections are pretty accurate. Mostly use a Sonarworks correction of around 60-75 percent and my own little EQ correction. That seems perfect to me.”

“This is crucial software to have. I’m disappointed to say, however, that I feel like I was forced to upgrade to the new ID version in the search towards rectifying the latency & resulting crackling audio issues. That, and the fact that the ‘load systemwide at startup’ option worked about 1 time out of 10. The ID version has fixed the cracking and latency issues...nice job! You still have work to do on the ‘load systemwide at startup’ option...I’ve no choice but to disable that. The plug-in version works splendidly in a DAW.”

“The Reference 4 works great and really improved my listening environment. However, I can't upgrade it to the new soundID using the key I got from you. I already submitted tickets with the errors attached but got no response at all. It feels like there is no support and I hope my current installation remains stable.”

“Sound ID is great for headphone correction and mixing outside of a studio, but I feel there's something still to be done to make this software the greatest available: room simulation. Indeed, flattening the EQ is incredibly useful and it gives you an incredible way to mix on headphones. Still, having the option of simulate a room with speakers would take everything up a notch, annihilating the competition.”

“I’ve been using sonarworks since reference 4 and I must admit it was more stable then. The audible functionality of the software is 5/5, however with SoundID (systemwide) I notice audio hiccups and drops that make it unusable and unreliable at times. This is a big deal as it is imperative to know that these audio drops are coming from the SoundID and not my DAW project or when reviewing masters audio files.”

“Very good and innovative product. If you possesses a great headphone, Sonarworks reference can transform it into an amazing headphone. I use SW with both my Hifiman HE-400 and my Sennheiser HD650 and love the fact that I can hear pretty much exactly what i'm supposed to hear.”

“Benutze Sonarworks seit gut 6 Wochen auf meinem MacBook Pro und bin sehr zufrieden. Ich starte es manuell und nicht automatisch mit jedem System Start. Ein Stern Abzug weil es manchmal nach dem MacBook Aufwachen vom Ruhezustand unerwartet beendet ist.”

“Best plug in ever, changed my mixes completely. Only complaint is that I ordered the mic, set it all up, then realized when the free trial ran out that the price was super high. So I wish you were more upfront with the price initially before I ordered the mic.”

“The shopping experience was a disaster... I do not understand why you are pricing with different currency EU and USA? It was less expensive to buy it in the US and ship it with a delivery company to Israel rather buy it directly in Euro! As a student, you didn't show any flexibility to issue a receipt only for the mic while the SW was download while you only send the Mic. Currently, I am facing wared issue when the Shure SM27 with reverse L-R sounds much fuller than your mic...”

“I love Sonarworks Reference 4. It made me feel more comfortable with my mixes. It's easy to use, to configure and to install. I purchased the headphone edition. It also helps to know, if you need a new headphones, which could be flatter in response. The only inconvenience I got was with the key/license activation. At least with Mac (not matter if I use Safari, Chrome or Firefox), online activation never worked. I had to export keys to a Windows machine and took them back to my Mac, following the offline activation. Only because of this, I rated with 4 stars. I would strongly recommend Sonarworks.”
