“In some instances I am completely blown away by the performances of this app in general. On the other hand at times the voices come out very strange. This is a rapidly evolving technology and having tried deveral other similar apps I can say that sonarworks is among the best.”

“I intended to purchase SoundID Reference Headphones, Speakers, and Reference Microphone. I accidentally clicked the package that didn't include the Mic. After a few days, I realized my mistake. I opened an issue with support and they offered me the mic at the package price. Good response.”

“I bought the virtual add on and it is difficult to use. I haven’t figured out how the sound translates. I had a good workflow with another sonar works product but haven’t found a good use for the virtual add on yet. TBD”

“Upgrading from Sonarworks to SoundID was a little confusing, but once purchased, download and installation was relatively straightforward. The experience switching from Sonarworks to SoundID did not seem like it was worth the price. I felt like I simply re-paid to have a very similar, if not the same experience. This should have been a free transfer from Sonarworks to SoundID or maybe a $20 “upgrade” at most. Listening to audio with SoundID on takes some getting used to if you’ve been listening on your headphones without flattening the eq. You essentially have to learn your headphones all over again and need to take the time to listen to all of the music you’re used to listening in order to train your ears on what a pro mixed and mastered song sounds like in your headphones. I use SoundID all the time as it has helped with some mixes and hearing things that might sound good on headphones, but don’t translate well to other sound systems. I’d recommend SoundID to have a different take on the sound, though it is priced high for what it does.”

“I am reasonably satisfied with my purchasing experience with Sonarworks. The process was clear and straightforward, and I easily found all the information I needed both before and after the purchase. The website is well-organized and offers detailed explanations of the products and their features, which I greatly appreciated. I didn’t need to contact the Support Centre, but the online documentation and available resources were helpful and well-curated. If I were to suggest an improvement, perhaps expanding the comparative audio demos or providing a few more practical examples would benefit those who, like me, prefer to listen before making a decision. Overall, a positive experience.”

“As of now I have mixed reviews about this product. I have it linked to my Apollo X6. The problem is 5 out of 10 times that I open up my Apollo console and try to launch the sonarwork sound ID, it doesn't open. Just last night I was trying to get some work done and this happened. I don't know if it's a UA thing or Sonarworks, but it's really getting on my nerve. I have some Adam Audio A7V's and I'm thinking about doing the Sonar works through them but naw, because I've already spent my money on the Apollo platform. It seems like I have to keep rebooting my system for it to work. SMH”

“I find Sonarworks to be useful and fairly intuitive. The accuracy of the distance between speakers was spot on. My only issue is being a UAD user I thought I would have full control over the sub with the Add on. Its not the case. The mic kit along with the Apollo add on purchase gets fairly expensive. The Bass Managment function does not seem to work but overall Sonarworks is worth it for improved headphone and monitor accuracy. Be prepared to buy the top version if you want all functionality.”
