Does a great job in getting your signal as neutral as possible.

Sonarworks and its integration with my system works very well with the two sets of headphones I have. The user interface is clear, I can see the settings, the profile and adjust the settings very directly. Fundamentally it does what is expected of it, it gives a flat, comparable response in my two headphones and is well worth the money. I would have marked it 5 out of 5 except that there is more complexity to the way Sonarworks is integrated with Windows system audio devices, and switching between wave out and ASIO output in my DAW, Reaper took some mental gymnastics. This switching does work, but it is not well explained in the Sonarworks documents and Sonarworks videos. I feel like I'm still working out the routing and ideal start-up and configuration sequence for my Windows, interface, Sonarworks and DAW. Also, it would be convenient if audio settings was the default page in the Settings, not application settings, since audio settings more frequently need changes.

Absolutely essential equipment for home studio. To hear what you really did.

In an acoustically-treated space, Reference 4 is nothing short of a revelation. My monitors just disappeared and all I could hear was the music, with nothing in the way of an accurate perception of the sound. The only negatives I can see so far is the fact that - even with the latest beta - it does not handle changes in sample rate gracefully, and that when listening to system audio through Systemwide, it is impossible to hear corrected audio whilst metering or analysing the raw audio, as Systemwide does not have an uncorrected passthrough output. This limits the usefulness of Systemwide in a professional environment.

Reference 4 is a great weapon, I’ve find myself very impressed with the result on my midfield monitor speakers. I have to be honest, I’m not that impressed with the results on my headphones, I guess cause I have to train my own brain on a more “flat” sound through them. I’m sure I’ve got much more tricks to discover, I’ll keep looking and keep you posted.

Super nice to correct room acoustics, but it doesn't consider a subwoofer.

Recomendable.

The plugin works great, but the systemwide software is a little glitchy... it causes a random audio glitch, like a moment of digital distortion, at the start of playback of an audio file... so I don't use the systemwide software. But the plugin works great! Thanks!

The idea and the program are a great idea work well. Sometimes on my system it causes few crashes when I use both Cubase and other sound sources like youtube or other players like vlc. But most of the time it's all ok, and surely helps in the mix process, especially in room treatment. Sound is more honest in many critical areas like bass frequencies in my small room. I'd love to have just few simulations within the software, like smartphone speakers, or car ambient, or other devices simulations, which would help a lot along the mono button, which is a great feature.

I really like what Sonarworks does sonically when mixing. My main critique is that when you aren’t in your DAW it still continues to run and sometimes causes issues with playback. I wish it would just try off outside my DAW. If this is user error I’ll certainly adjust my score from a 4 to a 5.

Amazing! Didn’t expect such a big difference.

The installation guide is very clear and easy to use. The result was impressive. I heard a modest but definite difference after the correction for my Adam A7X monitors in a treated room. I now have more confidence in my mixes, especially for the low mid range. I would recommend this to anyone who is mixing or mastering music.

Really impressed with the outcome, Fast and Effective. Although, working in Audio Post-Production, the BIG! disappointment is not having 5.1 or multi channel compatability. Would love to see this implemented as its quite a big disadvantage in my workflow.

It's a good product. Has definitely improved my initial mixes on a wider range of systems. Unfortunately it crashes repeatedly upon opening systemwide and I have to re assign the output every time I open it. Other than that it's a must!

Reference 4 works as advertised and has made a big improvement to my monitoring situation. Since I use several different pairs of speakers I have to switch profiles each time I switch speakers but I can live with that. My main problem at the moment is finding a way to connect my (hardware) Klark spectrum analyser to the pre-eq'd monitor signal(!) but no doubt I'll find a way. Excellent software, easy to use, highly recommended. I would like to see more options for tailoring the corrected response; at present there's only the 1974 B&K curve.

Seems to make things clearer in the high end.

The software is miraculous. I am satisfied. I had some problems measuring the monitors (Neumann KH310A) in my studio which has a pitched roof. By correcting the wrong distances between the monitors detected by the software, then inserting the right distances, the software did not allow me to position the microphone in the point it asked me to so I had to calibrate my monitors using the wrong distances. Furthermore, the software corrects a frequency range around 250hz which in my opinion gave more character to the voices. I don't know if this is due to the fact that having the pitched roof the software was unable to perfectly calibrate my monitors.

System wide seems to work fine, plugin for Logic sometimes stalls the DAW. But all in all very handy, I'm glad I purchased it!!

Great software, great interface. The best so far to calibrate my studio. Few problems though: 1. System volume is lowered even when Sonarworks is disabled, thus making it impossible to get to max volume when using the computer outside of the studio, where Sonarworks isn't necessary. 2. Right-Clicking Sonarworks icon when software is minimised to the background doesn't always work. That is, the right-click menu sometimes don't appear at all and software needs to be opened from the Applications folder to make any changes.

Love the app its works wonders, but sometimes it get hung up when I am booting up my computer. The sound just will not start sometimes I have to restart for it to work. But besides that it's a great app.
