“Totally pointless upgrade from reference 4. Had to do it because they refused to create a Pro Tools ARM AAX for reference 4, even though I’d only purchased it two years ago. No difference in sound quality, and I don’t use the new gimmicky profiles like “car” or “ns10s.” Basically had to pay a whole lot of extra money to keep using the thing I already purchased.”

“Sonarworks was recommended to me my a producer friend and after reading how the software works on the websites I decided the purchase it. Easy to navigate through and in no time the software install was ready to download from my emails l. I even got a follow up email telling me extra bits I could get to enhance the software.”

“Had some issues with purchasing online but after reporting it to the Sonarworks team it was fixed and everything was smooth sailing from there on out. The headphones are phenomenal and with the calibration curve, I tend to forget that I'm even wearing them - which is exactly what I want when I'm mixing. Great stuff!”

“I am very happy with my purchase, I was able to get the student discount which will allow me to mix more accurately on my headphones. The purchase was easy, the next day I got my code. I had some difficulties regarding the installation but the technical support service helped me.”

“Soundwise Allright, bur i need på reboot the Sonarworks app EVERY TIME my Mac has gone into sleep/inactive mode. That happens at least three times a day, and after just 15 minutes of inactivity. Seriously annoying”

“Does what it's supposed to and they have a large selection of compatible headphones. You can customize the calibration which is cool. If you want a more accurate representation of your music give the trial a try and see if it's right for you.”

“Sonarworks SoundID Reference is a brilliant piece of software that has completely changed mixing and mastering for me. The company is responsive, helpful and constantly working on improving the stability and quality of their software. I am still experiencing some bugs when my Mac goes to sleep. The audio will go completely silent until I restart the SoundID Reference playback engine. But, while this is a bit annoying, the software itself is still so valuable to my workflow that I just go through the process of restarting and then continue on with my work. Still, I hope to see a fix with the next version. Other than that, though, I am incredibly happy with the software.”
