“From the moment I landed on their website, I was impressed. The user interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate. I was able to quickly search for the products I needed, thanks to their well-organized categories and search function. What really caught my attention was their trial option. It's not often that you come across a company that's confident enough in their product to let you try before you buy. This gave me the chance to test out their product and see if it was the right fit for me - and spoiler alert, it was! The purchasing process was a breeze. No hiccups, no issues with my bank, just a smooth and straightforward transaction. It's clear that Cakewalk Sonar has put a lot of thought into their customer experience, and it shows. But the standout experience for me was their post-purchase service. After my purchase, I received emails from Cakewalk Sonar checking in on me. “Within the first hour of having Sonarworks SoundID Reference, I said out loud, I cannot live without this. It has dramatically taken the guesswork out of making music. “Sonarworks changed my way of producing music. The Sonarworks products are clearly hyper-professional without losing ease of use for the customer. Shopping on the website is done in a snap, as well for the software as the hardware (headphones). After buying as a business I had to ask about the VAT, which was answered very fast and credited immediately. Maybe I missed the VAT option during the buying process, or maybe not. During the years I had only a few technical issues after updating to a higher OS for example and the technical support was quick and accurate although during production processes I always get a little annoyed when software is not immediately working seamlessly. But maybe I have to plan my updates and upgrades better in between production times and not expect the digital world ever to be like the analog one of the past. Another thing I enjoy with Sonarworks is the articles and blogs about mixing with all kinds of tips and tricks that are worth reading: some are just confirmation and some are helping to get actual new insight into other producers' workflow. Great stuff. One thing I regret with Sonarworks is the missing option to expand a stereo measurement with just two subs, now I need to upgrade to the full Atmos-multiple-surround package that I do not need. I won't be needing 7+ speaker measuring any time soon or in the far away future is my guess. But I definitely recommend Sonarworks to all my fellow studio colleagues, after thorough acoustical treatment of course, for sure!”

“As a multi-instrumentalist with a modest home project studio, SoundID Reference has made a noticeable improvement in my ability to mix with confidence. My room is treated with some homemade acoustic panels, but even with the panels, there is still some comb filtering and issues with the low end. When I engage the calibrated profile for my room, the low end is more clear, and I am able to hear more detail in the high mids. I qualifed for the Educational license for this software and the application process went smoothly.”

Upon buying the upgrade finding the files was easy and the videos helped with the authorisation stage. “The information provided at Sonarworks unfortunately only insufficiently allows to make an objective assessment of the extent to which the Sonarworks calibration target can serve as a reference. Objective boundary conditions to the statistical surveys are very vague or are not disclosed. So the only option left is to form your own subjective judgment, which in my case turned out convincingly as a subjective improvement. However, this is still not sufficient to recognize it as a reference. I am of course aware of the difficulties to objectify psychoacoustic correlations, since they are always subjective, but had hoped for more in methodological terms. Thus, it remains only a longer practical trial with the critical user. The handling of the individual headphone calibration is uncomplicated. However, there was an information leak during delivery in Riga, so Sonarworks first had to be informed by me that my shipment was ready for pickup.”

“I sent my Audeze LCD XC 2021 to Sonarworks for individual calibration and I am very happy with the result. Now my headphone mixes translates very well to different soundsystems. Excellent customerservice and fast handling. I highly recommend the Individual calibration service by Sonarworks!”
