If there’s only plugin or program you buy whether it’s for music production or only listening to music, I’d make it this one!

An obviously very highly regarded company, if the reviews are anything to go by. It's something of a standard for a lot of people. Download and setup was a breeze. Purchase was smooth. I haven't needed to use the support centre yet but it appears comprehensive.

Hi Sonarworks, first: thanks for the invitation to write a review for you and to get a chance to win an individual calibrated pair of HD650s! I just recently bought a license, the virtual monitoring add-on and individually calibrated DT880's from you and I'd had loved to grab the individual calibrated HD650, but they were a bit out of my price range in that moment. Speaking of price range: I'm super glad I got an educational discount, so you really care about us folks! I initially had some questions and there were some initial troubles in functionalitiy on your side, but I really have to say that your support is one of the best I've experienced so far. I always got really quick responses, but on top of that you were able to fix the issues on your side in no-time. After that everything went super smooth. So I really got the impression that if any questions regarding Sonarworks and/or the practical use of it arise, I can count on your support. I also really appreciated your fast delivery of the headphones. Seems like you got your shipping game on peak. :) What really helped me to still grab something similar to the HD650, the DT880s, were your in-depth headphone reviews. Read a lot of them and really helped in deciding. Love the HD650 and would have loved to get them, but had to decide for the DT880s budget-wise. A pair of HD650 would be the perfect addition, but I'll just keep my fingers crossed. Maybe I also have some good luck with you guys. What's certain i, that I'll definetly tell about and showcase Sonarworks to my producer friends and colleagues and recommend it. Regarding shopping experience: I was able to quickly find the most necessary information I needed before purchasing on your side. So for now I don't have anything specific in mind which I could recommend to you, but if I have something to recommend in the future, I'll let you know over the support. :) Maybe a feature request: would be nice to have a synchronization (maybe only manually triggered), to sync the profile presets on the left side in the standalone to the DAW plug-in. I work with the standalone mostly right now and just discovered that none of the presets were there in the plug-in (I'd need to set them up there like I did in the standalone.) Another one: would be nice to have individual calibrated profile IDs stored in the account, just to have another layer of never losing the ID. While writing this another thing came to my mind: it would be super dope to have some official Sonarworks blog entry or written tutorials on how to switch over and use a flat-response in production and mixing. While there is some help on the internet, it's not so easy to mix with a flat-response at first and how to approach it, when you worked years without it and just always "learned your speakers/headphone" for referencing. Some best-practices would definetly help a lot of folks out there. For example (and I may have to ask you guys that or find some help on this): first impression of a flat-response kinda sounds "thin". While for example the DT880s push the highs too much, with the calibrated profile this doesn't happen anymore, but I also felt that then I couldn't hear some elements in this frequency range anymore (detail/seperation of different elements in the high frequencies) in specific songs. I think that is because they were either "not mixed to a flat target" or my ears just have to learn to hear these details again without the boost in the DT880s. If you want to give me some advice on that after reading this, I'd very much appreciate an answer over mail, but don't feel like you have to. I can easily experiment myself and/or research the topic and maybe I'll get to a solution by that. Otherwise I know your support would be there to help me out with it. :) Thank your for reading all that. TL;DR: Sonarworks rules! keep it up! Kind regards Marius

Instant relief on my ears. I managed to get my low-end somewhat right with just my ears and sweeping across the frequency spectrum but the mids and high-end were off as well. Sonarworks fixed it in 20 minutes! My only issue is that I had to use a workaround as I got the "failed to unzip mic archive" error message which was unfortunate. Other than this everything is perfect!

I'm a custommer for several years now, and couldn't work without SoundID Reference. The site is well concieved and easy to navigate. One thing could be better though, and it's juste a glitch. On the email i recieved after the purchase, several links are provide to help a new user to set and find information, all those links take the user to the same page of the knowlage base instead of the specific articles.

I had originally purchased Sonarworks 4 some years ago, but had not really made use of it as my work pre-empted me from making music for a couple years. I recently had a life change giving me more time to produce, and remembered having a discount code for an upgrade that I received via email more than 2 years ago. To my surprise, I was able to use the code to upgrade Sound ID Reference without issue, and quickly upgrade. No hassle or confusion. Very pleased with the experience, and looking forward to optimizing my setup with this new tech!

Love having the peace of mind that my mixes are made with a studio quality sound due to the flat frequency response. Super easy to use app and I love the added articles available on the Sonarworks website that elaborate on each headphone setup and what is being done to help the response curve.

Purchasing was easy, I only had one little hiccup when installing but I was able to fix it using the Support center. After that I was calibrating my headphones and ready to mix.

I recently purchased individually calibrated headphones from Sonarworks + the Sound ID reference plugin where I could easily associate their “individual calibration”. Sonarworks has made it very easy to set up and what I especially LOVE is that the plugin not only works in my DAW, but can be set up System Wide so when I am ear training on my apps and websites, I can build my listening knowledge using the same reference I am using for mixing and mastering my tracks. This alone is of great value to me as an artist, musician and engineer who has to travel for work regularly. So… if you are like me and are serious about leveling up with your music and want to save a great deal of money on getting your “room right”, or are simply in need of a solution for being a traveler with the desire to continue doing high caliber work, you must give Sonarworks’ products and systematic approach to creating your best reference a go! I’m telling you, with all honesty, you will be happy with your purchase.
