“Have older laptop running vista but powerful enough to to run win 10 found software geeks and the price won me over as did not want to spend 100+ on old laptop. Followed there instructions 1st time laptop froze at 80%. Shut all down tried again next day went straight on. I could not boot from USB so made a iso dvd on new laptop. Did full installation and reformatted hard drive. It now is flies! So all in all Good service if need to will use again. Chris Brown”

“I installed Windows 7 Home Premium onto a Dell laptop running Windows Vista Ultimate. The download of the iso file went smoothly and I was able to install and activate Windows 7 without difficulty by following the instructions. It was when I tried to update Windows 7 that the problems started, for I repeatedly received the error code 8007000E. I re-installed Windows 7 but the same thing happened. I searched the web for ways of resolving the problem but none worked. I tried chatting on-line with Software Geeks and was sent a link with suggested fixes. However again none worked. Finally, after a second re-install I downloaded Google Chrome and inactivated Internet Explorer 8. My first attempt to update Windows produced the same error code, but when I tried again - success! I now have a ully-updated version of Windows 7 on my Dell and (fingers crossed) all is working well. So...the cost of the Windows 7 package from Software Geeks (around £15) was competitive and the instructions on how to install it were clear. However if you're unlucky enough to receive the 8007000E error when you try to update Windows 7 you might be in for a long-drawn-out troubleshoot.”

“I was initially unsure whether to purchase the Windows software but glad I did as it has worked exactly as stated. Only problem for me was trying to figure out how to install it, in the end I extracted the file and hey presto, but to be fair I'm no expert!”

“Was initially concerned that this company wasn't legit as the software was so cheap, but everything seems to have worked very well in the end. The only reason why i never have 5-starts was that there were no adequate instructions sent that explained the upgrade process from Windows 10 Home to Pro.”

“Ok, firstly the download was slow - 8 hours and then it was corrupted, but second time worked 100%. Still, 16 hours is quicker than any postage time scale, so I'm happy. The disc burnt fine and windows 7 pro installed 1st time. Did need to phone the free number to activate, but again this took only a few minutes, so all good. Then, big problem, could't update anything because explorer 8 was not supported and couldn't download explorer 10. My solution was to download explorer 10 on one of my other computers and copy it to a memory stick and then installed it on windows 7. Now I can update and everything is working fine, except it is an old Athlone 2600 and painfully slow, but that is nothing to do with the download, which for the price, is well worth the limited amount of fiddling. Nice one geeks.”

“Although I experienced difficulties with the installation of Windows 7 once got past that I am very happy with the result; it has now enabled me to update with office 2013 which i was unable to do before as I had vista which is no longer supported. I think it would make life so much easier if the whole process could be done as a download rather than having to boot from a usb or disc as that part of the process was not easy. Also when going from vista to windows 7 it is a clean install as opposed to an upgrade so people need to be made aware of that as they may lose everything in their folders if they have not done a backup. Fortunately my husband went on line to find out how to restore my folders and was able to do otherwise I would have lost all my pictures etc. I use computers every day but I am not clued up about things like this! that said excellent service and good value for money!”
