“I accidentally purchased three VIP ticket deposits for a Grace Jones and Sister Sledge concert through Skiddle and realised within seconds that the event was strictly 18+. The tickets were intended for myself and two teenagers, so the booking was unusable. I tried to cancel immediately, but Skiddle does not allow any cooling-off period whatsoever — not even when a mistake is spotted literally seconds after purchase. I had also paid extra for refund protection, which turned out not to cover this type of situation. Customer support simply sent a standard response saying refunds are only available if the event is cancelled or postponed and suggested I try to pass the tickets to someone else or contact the promoter. In practice this means if you make even a tiny mistake during checkout, you are locked in instantly with no opportunity to correct it. For a ticketing platform handling expensive events, that feels unnecessarily rigid and very unfriendly to customers. Buyers should be extremely careful before clicking purchase, because Skiddle offers absolutely no flexibility if something goes wrong.”
