Was very disappointed to find that booking through skiddle cost me more that it would have paying at the venue. I think this needs to be reviewed I wouldn't have minded paying a booking fee but £2.05 per ticket was a joke !!!

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback. Skiddle is a self-service platform and the event organisers determine the ticket pricing structure themselves. Due to this, ticket prices are subject to change as agreed upon purchase. In the circumstances that promoters run a promotion\offer\reduction on the price of tickets, we're unfortunately unable to issue a refund. EM Skiddle Customer Support Team

Hi Jane, Thank you for your feedback. It seems your review is referring to an event rather than your experience using our booking platform. If you would like to leave a review of an event you attended, you can do so on the Skiddle listing. Please just head to the event on Skiddle and leave your feedback on the ‘reviews’ tab. By leaving a review on the listing, the promoter can gather feedback on their events as this review platform is purely for how you found your booking experience. We would really appreciate it if you could amend your review to let us know how you found using Skiddle as a booking platform. EM, Skiddle Customer Support Team

Poor - it could be you or it could be me. I thought I booked 27th July at 10.30 but the tickets showed 20th July at 10.30. Forgive me if I made the error and I forgive you. We can come on the 20th so all is well

Out of all the acts that were advertised there was about a quarter of them there. Fun fair was 1 ride, roller disco a joke, bar prices extortionate, but the dj on the main stage was pretty good

Not very happy that there was no way to get tickets any other way except the ridiculous online nonsense and no way to get the tickets before july 6th due to scanning issues, a vast improvement could be made by implimenting a real person to sort ticketing issues out in future and not rejecting the idea as a result of costs, after all if your going to sell tickets, at least have the courtesy to do it properly in a way that everyone is used to because this online nonsense is an absolute turn off and a complete non starter if you want to attract more custom.

Hi Andrew, Skiddle is an online booking platform. The purpose of Skiddle is for event organisers to list and sell tickets for their events, and for customers to be able to have a smooth online booking process. If you would rather not buy tickets online you are more than welcome to contact the venue/ promoter to see if you can buy tickets from them directly, but Skiddle is an online booking platform that more and more promoters are signing up to use every day. Hi Jonathan, Thank you for your feedback. We aren't aware of any issues with our PayPal feature. Here at Skiddle, we always aim to put our customers first so I am keen to get this resolved for you. If you have a moment spare, could you send us a screenshot of the error with the PayPal feature so we can get this looked into? You can upload this to our chat feature at help.skiddle.com Thank you, Laura

We love the 80s at Mote Park - pulled into the car park with my pre paid barcode ready to be scanned only to hear the next car hadn’t prepaid and yet were only charged £12 which is less than I paid in advance months ago. How can you justify charging a pre paid customer more? VIP a total rip off - a small seated area at the side of the stage with blocked views by inflatables forcing us to stand in the main area hence wasting more money. I spent 40 minutes navigating the websites and downloading the necessary apps etc to prepare for my pre paid card only to find at the venue that the scheme was scrapped and debit cards accepted. Only one stall selling hot drinks which at times has queues of over one hour. Not all stalls open and all ridiculously overpriced. The artists (which of course is what we’re all there for) started with sound issues through the Go West set. Thank goodness Tony Hadley was worth the wait but sadly overall not worth the money or time dedicated to attending the event.

The festival has so much potential but this year seemed to be based on profit. Luckily I went last year and could see the difference. I found last year to be good so I decided to bring the family this year. Well we were disappointed. The car park was very far from the venue. The walk was down narrow lanes which had cars weaving around kids. Why isn't there a path for people?? As we walked to the bamboo campsite we were refused entry due to it being full. So they opened a overflow camping back 15 minutes where we had come from, why weren't we told that at the ticket and search bit. They had radios so they could have informed them. Toilets and showers were a joke. No hand-wash, no toilet paper, no cleaning, the upgrades weren't being manned properly, any Tom dick and Harry were let in. Saturday morning they were closed because they were being serviced. Why aint they allowed to be open from 6am? Until they get more organised I shall not be coming back unfortunately. Great potential but the organisation was horrendous. Why is the upgrade loos and showers so far away from the family camping? Why hasn't every camping field have one?

Less than helpful when I rang to say I'd bought four tickets and didn't see its buy 3 get one free. I'm at the senior end of life and my eyesight isn't what it used to be. No help whatsoever . I know its only 13 pound odd but times are tough for everyone. Including your customers.

Hi Phelps, Thanks for your feedback. All information is shown before purchasing tickets. We recommend that all customers check the listing completely before purchasing tickets. We aim to make our webiste as user friendly as possible, so we recommend possibly enlarging the text on the screen so that is more visible for yourself. Thanks, LB Skiddle Customer Support

What's the point in being offered one ticket after having joined a waiting list for two? The first time (steak night within Feis Ile 2023) I declined and was not offered any, not even when so many tickets became available that there was no need for a waiting list anymore (by then I had already made other arrangements), the second time (boat trip within Feis Ile) I accepted because there is a plan B should only my fiance go. Also, the platform is far from friendly, virtually useless on older phones or weaker Internet connections. I wish there was another way to book events for Feis Ile...

Hi Chiara, If we couldn’t allocate you the full number of tickets you requested, we’ll still alert you and let you buy as many as we can allocate at that time. It’s completely up to you whether or not you choose to purchase the ticket(s) you’re offered. You will be kept on the waiting list for the remaining number of tickets you have requested. For example. If you'd requested 3 tickets, were notified about 2 which you didn't purchase then you will be kept on the waiting list for 1 ticket. Any website supported by a weak internet connection will guarantee fast service. We expect Skiddle to be used on a suitable internet connection. LB Skiddle Customer Support

Was advertised as being 'FREE' but then I was charged £2.10 for four digital tickets. I think It would benefit people in the future if it was not advertised as free. Aside from this, no other issues thus far.

Hi there, Thanks for the feedback. The face-value of the ticket is free. The total price of the ticket (face-value and booking fee) is displayed in bold on the event listing Skiddle have still performed their job of providing a secure ticketing service, so there is still going to be booking fees for every 'free' order. Hi Will, I assume you are referring to our optional feature, Refund Protection. Refund Protection covers a set criteria listed in the terms and conditions, not an automatic refund. As much as I appreciate historical humour, if you do not want to pay for Refund Protection, you do not have to. Thanks for the feedback, LB Skiddle Customer Support

First time at HP and was quite disappointed. Tickets very overpriced! Food totally overpriced as were the drinks. There were teens completely wasted, drugs evidently being sold and taken and the number of people who had their phones stolen was unimaginable. Staff in high vis vests were drunk, no organisation with the queues for food or the bar & men peeing in bushes! The parking to the rear of the park caused concern, cars were just abandoned, there’s no chance an emergency vehicle would get through - if HP is back next year consideration should be given to both sides of the park having traffic management staff. This traffic caused the locals immense inconvenience.

I have received my ticket confirmation which I have printed off but understand I can't use it for entry on the day and I can not print off my ticket until after 1st July. All sounds a little complicated but I will try and follow instructions which will allow me entry! I am not a techy person and am pretty sure others will have problems with this booking system. I have paid and am hopeful I will be allowed entry to sell my book on the day!

Hi Heln, Thank you for your feedback. Some promoters may choose to suspend the barcodes for their event to reduce ticket touting. This is set by the promoter and not Skiddle. We hope you have a great time at the event! Thanks, LB Skiddle Customer Support

Too much added fees

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Skiddle orders only have 2 fees. Booking fees, which are standard per every ticket retailer. This is to cover the cost of providing a secure ticketing service. This includes overheads such as debit/credit card processing fees, VAT, customer services, call handling, account management, administration, website development, secure server costs, profit, and a few tea bags for staff brews! We also have a delivery fee. It covers the overheads incurred by dispatching the order or providing the scanning technology used to produce and validate your ticket quickly and efficiently at the event. Typically, this fee is around 50p. Thanks, LB Skiddle Customer Support

So much unnecessary faff getting the tickets- logging in to a system, having to input card details, all while holding up the queue on the door- if every other ticket system can email you a ticket with a barcode at purchase point why can’t Skiddle?
