Shiply is a very easy to use site to find a collection/delivery partner but that is where it ends, I have just had the worst experience, the delivery company will not communicate and Shiply could not help other than to also send email, text etc to them. Ongoing since 21st June, still no further with my clock. I will be making other arrangements.

Shiply will not refund my deposit paid on a cancelled order-instead left a credit on my account and then charged me again - awful.

SHIPLEY SEEMS OK BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM MAYBE YOU CAN SORT? I've used Shiply a few times in the past, but it feels like things have changed. The number of quotes I'm getting, are far fewer and also higher priced - not competitive at all. The website then quickly "encourages" you to upgrade our listing to feature it or mark it as urgent. That in fact only seems to make quotes more expensive as the couriers seem to think you're desperate. It also feels like there are a few large couriers who swallow up the small independent "man & van" and leaves the latter no choice but to work through them to get the business. And the larger companies then get a cut via subcontracting. That's my observation from using Shiply historically and then trend I see - especially scrolling through all the jobs available. It's most often then same big companies bidding. I've now switched to finding local man & van couriers independently for a fraction of the cost quoted via Shiply.

We have hundreds of thousands of transport providers registered with us and therefore everyone has a fair and equal chance to get quotes from as many different transport providers as possible. Getting quotes on Shiply is free and fast. If the quotes you receive are above the amount you are willing to pay then you are no obligation to accept and are of course free to shop around for other services. Twice in a month ive used this. First was great second was dreadful. I bought a garage door with a pic and a testimonial from the seller thst the key was provided with the door. Ive rang texted and emailed the depo and higher and they taje no responsibility and blamed both the buyer and seller. Ill never use again.

after buying a m/cycle from ebay couldn't complete the online Shiply form but deposit money was taken immediately 3 days later got a response from Shiply and was told that there was an IT problem that they were aware of and just to contact the couriers directly im not a happy bunny

Great idea of a website, easy to use and quick but the premium they charge is ridiculous. 25% of the job cost goes to Shiply which I feel is totally disproportionate. Will not be using them again based on that.

Our commission % is dependant on the type of goods being transported and the distance etc. We do a lot of work to ensure the transport providers are properly vetted and put a lot into making the service as efficient and useful as possible. Once I received my car back I found the month old cover it left here in was in tatters. The driver admitted 'it had a slight tear in it' once inspected it was ripped to shreds. A scratch was found on the passenger door (photographs taken before the car left) and a wear mark where the cover had obviously come loose at some point and worn through the paintwork.

The website needs to have some kind of guarantee against bad traders. Or even feedback on specific traders. Next time I will pay the difference to use a reputable company.

The removal company on the date of removal keep sending text and changing the time of collection. This was quite stressful and I was not sure if they will turn up. when they have finally arrived to my storage to pick up the goods, their van was already full and driver was making excuses to add more fee to the price to take the boxes. I do not think I will ever use them. I have requested 2 men job in the description but only one man taking the boxes and my friend had to help.

I received a very shockingly poor service from a driver registered with Shiply. To the extent where the police were called, when I called Shiply and asked for the full details of the driver to be sent to me due to the nature of the service, the details were not sent and the matter treated rather blase.

Disappointed that having been advised that collection would be early into the 4 hr slot , it was 5 mins over and the delivery was after 9 evening .

Beware of companies represented on Shiply. I went with one (Good_Fellas / Proovia Ltd.) I assumed to be thoroughly professional. As Shiply was recommended by a friend. Proovia’s feedback on Shiply was over 94 percent but on further investigation the company has a very poor reputation on-line. My expensive pottery kiln was destroyed and I’m left trying to recover my loses.

The pickup was in France and the company I selected turned out to have never driven in continental Europe before. Apart from multiple phone calls to get them to the pickup point they then drove through Switzerland unnecessarily where there are import-export charges. They drove though the border illegally and I ended up with a huge problem if illegal import and export. And they weren't even the lowest bidder. They also drove off on the wrong side of the road. I managed to stop them.

For gettting quotes the service works, but when things go wrong there is no support or intermediatary help from shiply. My courier has left defamatory remarks about me on my profile and they can't be removed. I'm having to pursue my own legal action against the courier to obtain monies owed to me for a service that never happened. Shiply should insist all couriers have terms and conditions available, and a general code of practice that all the couriers should adhere to before letting them join the site.
