“Very light and it's very unstable. Can't put shelf inside from timber to reinforce to it. Very disappointed with the product. I'd love a refund”

“This is the worst company for Customer Service l have ever dealt with. I placed an order for a 12x8 Ft Summer House and arranged for it to be delivered via their Website on a Saturday. I tried four times to call sheds.co.uk on the Friday to enquire if the delivery was going to take place. All four times they refused to answer the phone. I also emailed the enquiry and asked for a call or email back - Still nothing. On the Saturday, l had the day off work to accept the delivery. NO DELIVERY, NO EMAIL & NO PHONE CALL. I then tried again on Monday morning to phone and email sheds.co.uk to enquire where the delivery was. An hour later l had a phone call from the Manufacturer saying my Summer House would be delivered in half an hour - no good l was at work! The driver said that l should have had a call from Sheds.co.uk to advise that all Saturday deliveries had been cancelled. In the end l call the Manufacturer and arranged the delivery direct, they said that Sheds.co.uk were notorious for not communicating. To date l have still had NO communication from Sheds.co.uk and would advise nobody to use them under any circumstances.”

“I ordered a summerhouse and paid nearly £200 extra to have it erected. However the delivery is separate from the installation which is a very inefficient process and as expected although the pieces were delivered a couple of weeks ago nothing is even booked in yet. Someone did call but went straight to voicemail. I called back immediately but they refused to talk as they were too busy and said they would ring back. I have chased by telephone and text message but heard nothing. The summerhouse pieces are sitting in the garden still. It’s been the worse online purchase experience ever .”

“The driver was darn right rude to my wife and drove over my water metre then moaned about delivery time allocated for this. He was asked to put the shed in the back garden a mere 3 feet from where he eventually placed them so I had to move them. I am a disabled chap and this caused severe pain and discomfort. I am afraid I am not eased at all with the service or attitude of the staff.”

“I constructed the shed and covered with a tarpaulin until I had applied the felt roof. Completed yesterday and today is the first time it has rained. To my dismay both window sections are leaking from the bottom of the windows. Looking at it the design is terrible. The groove the windows sit in is not sealed in any way and the water just runs along them into the corners and overflows into the shed. Not what I’d expect from a shed that was originally £700 before it went in the sale!!!!!! Bad design of those panels and poorly constructed as the window trims are not correct and the sides are cut incorrectly leaving gaps. Will I be recommending sheds.co.uk? NO!”

“The shed base delivered to me was a kit that I’m expected to build myself. No where on the advert does it say that, the advert is very misleading. To quote: “perfect for those unable to make their own base”, very confusing. I emailed sheds.co.uk to return the item over 4 days ago and have heard nothing back. One unhappy and confused customer.”

“Sheds.co.uk are an appalling company to deal with. They subcontract everything so whenever anything goes wrong it is never their problem. The guy who delivered my shed was one of the rudest, most loathsome individuals I’ve ever met. I complained to the company. They did … nothing. I waited a month from delivery to installation, and when the installers arrived, after I had taken the day off work, I was told they couldn’t do the job because some timbers (which were supposed to have been delivered by another company they’d subcontracted to) had not arrived. They left, after moving some of the shed panels to the side of my house, where they crashed down in the middle of the night, snapping my garden umbrella in two. (When I told the company about this, they phoned the guy, and he said I was lying and that it had been broken before.) They rescheduled, for another day, and then phoned to say their van had broken down. So another day wasted. They finally turned up the next day, but I couldn’t be there as I could not take any more time off work, so my au pair had to let them in. They put the shed up, too far over into the garden, covering up an ornamental wall clock which I have now had to take down as it was obscured from view. I had told them I wanted it as close to the fence as possible. They didn’t listen. When I told the company this, they basically said it was my fault because I wasn’t there! They left mud all over my kitchen floor. They had made no attempt to cover the floor. I was told by the company that this was my fault because, as the only route to the garden was through my house, I should have known that I had to cover up the floor. I asked them to show me in their terms and conditions where it stated that it was the customer’s responsibility to clear up any mess caused by the assemblers. I was told I was being ‘ridiculous’ and that this was not relevant! They also refused to put the stain on the shed, even though I had paid for the service, saying they didn’t provide a ‘painting service’. By this time I was so sick of getting distressed calls from my au pair, who they were really horrible to, that I was past caring and just wanted them to leave. Do not use this company. If anything goes wrong with the shed, I have no confidence that they will come and fix it or reimburse me. They will probably just say it is my fault, of that I am lying. Get your shed from B&Q and get a trusted person to put it up. Not these shysters.”

“Everything, no communication, ordered base and they didn't fit it, just left it unpacked. Asked them why they didn't call me to tell me they couldn't fit it, had no answer. They collected the unused base weeks ago and have never credited us. The floor of the she bounces up and down where it was never fitted properly. Disgusted”

“Terrible service. I ordered two garden store units, plus bases for £395.00, received a call from their supplier two days later to tell me they were no longer available, but that I would need to speak to sheds.co.uk to arrange my own refund. Called sheds.co.uk, and was initially pleased with their help: they would deliver two slightly more expensive units (£10.00 more each) and refund me 5% for the inconvenience. An hour later I received another phone call to say that this was wrong, and actually I needed to pay the extra £20.00 if I wanted the replacement units. I have asked for a refund instead - I am gobsmacked that they were willing to lose my order for the sake of £20.00, and that they would withdraw the offer they initially made. I would recommend avoiding this company.”

“My shed arrived today completely sodden and with mould growing beneath the base. The delivery driver came to my door after dumping the shed parts on my front lawn. I had to carry these around to the back of my house, being so wet this made them very heavy. The edge of one panel was coming off, I will need to fix that. This is a really poor state to receive a product in.”

“Instructions were not easy to follow and the shed took all day to put up. Not the quality we expected, but had it to long to return. Would not recommend.”
