We had never used Sharps service before and decided to go ahead as our smallest bedroom which had a sloping ceiling and obtrusive stairwell made it awkward to furnish. We had a double doored sliding wardrobe fitted alongside a chest of draws and we were thrilled with the reults. The quality and amount of space it created was impressive. From start to finish everyone involved in the process was polite cart to rom at

Tom the designer provided us with a very good initial design and he was happy to take on board our amendments. The fitter did a great job and managed to complete in one day. I am very happy with my built cupboards.

After recently moving home and having to leave behind the built in wardrobes that I had built for me we found using the cheap fabric wardrobes a pain. My wife first spoke to a Sharps rep' at The Bath & West show and arranged for him to call and to design new wardrobes for our main bedroom and cupboards in my study at our new home. Their sales rep arrived, listened to our requirements, measured the rooms and left us with a sketch of his proposals and a quotation of both jobs individually. On our acceptance a date for the surveyor, making, delivery and installation was agreed. The surveyor called and measured every single nook and cranny we had in the rooms, but obviously a professional at work from the fine detail on his drawings. About a month later the delivery was due on the Friday morning with the fitter(s) starting on the following Monday. To make sure someone was at home for the delivery my wife took the morning off work. At 12.00 mid-day I received a call from my wife saying nothing had arrived and she had phoned Sharps office, to no avail. "We will look into it and phone you straight back" said the office lady. At 1.30 pm I received another call from my wife telling me that nothing had been delivered and she had had no reply from the office and had phoned them back but could not get through and she had to attend a meeting at 2.30 pm and I would have to come home to take the delivery. Not part of my planned schedule for the day. I got home at 2.00 pm and waited and phoned, and waited and phoned, and waited. By now I was really concerned because nobody knew what had happened to the delivery lorry! How do you lose a 4 ton delivery vehicle? By 5.00 pm every thought had crossed my mind with my last thought being "How do I get my money back as they haven't made it" At 5.15 I phoned the rep and left a message for him to call me asap. When he did phone me, about 6.00 pm, he told me there was no one in the office now!!! and that he would come back to me tomorrow if he can get an answer or asap if not. That evening my wife and I discussed for hours, with very pessimistic views, what we had to do next. The next morning, still feeling let down, at 8.30 am the phone rang with the voice of a young man telling me that he had a delivery for me and he would be with me in half an hour. By the time I had explained the call to my wife a large lorry pulled up in front of my driveway, three men got out and you could see they all had their own task. When the driver came in to introduce himself I questioned him with, "What happened yesterday? Without hesitation he informed me that the lorry had broken down with a full load on board and it had now been repaired or replaced and they were therefore delivering today. What a relief, the last 24 hours had been too hell and back with how I was going to get my money back. Those lads deserve a mention as they were true grafters with-in an hour they had everything stacked in its correct bundle, sign here please and were gone. Monday came and at 7.50 am so did the fitter. He introduced himself was very polite and a good worker. So far so good. I had a call that afternoon from the rep telling me that the lorry had broken down but they would get it to me asap!! When I got home from work Monday evening the fitter was still there packing up. He had started on the bedroom and it was really taking shape. Buy Wednesday evening he had finished and it all looked fantastic in both the bedroom and the study. My wife and I were really pleased with the finished product. But, my main question to the management is;" Why in this world of modern technology is there such a lack of correspondence between staff. Yes, Hey ho, it all turned out OK in the end but when someone has invested thousands of pounds into a company who don't turn-up, it really brings out a cautionary message when recommending to others.

Customer service was excellent. The designer was helpful and gave us plenty of chance to discuss our requirements. Sharps fitted in with our time scale and delivery and fitting went like clockwork. The overall appearance is very good but the only reason that I have not given 5 stars as I think that the doors are a bit flimsy and the handles could have been of better quality. it was however reasonable value for money and overall I am happy with the finished product.

We had what would appear to be a very straight forward set of fitted wardrobes either side of a chimney breast along with bed side units and a chest of drawers. When the surveyor came to measure up properly he spent a lot of time explaining to me that the range we'd chosen couldn't have the doors cut down due to the decoration and as a result would cause some access limitations to my top cupboard. He then went through all the ranges that could be cut down to size and I was able to chose an alternative that would give me proper access to my cupboards. I was pleased that he explained all this to me as he could have easily just gone ahead and ordered the original units that we would then have been unhappy with. When the delivery guys turned up we were running a bit behind and still painting the room. They kindly stacked all the pieces in the middle of the room carefully and in as compact a manner as possible so that we could still move around the room and finish the painting. The fitter had a bit of a nightmare job on his hands, as our room looks very standard but we have a 1930s house which means none of the walls are straight or standard measures. He had a tricky job to cut and fit the units but did so in quick time finishing slightly early too. Because we had changed the units there was a slight difference in price and due to the original sales chap not confirming the agreed discount with HQ we were over charged. My husband phoned and the matter was resolved without any fuss and the overpayment reimbursed within a couple of days. This is why I would recommend sharps, they are a big company that don't make a fuss, they get things sorted and genuinely seem to want to help the customer. This is the second bedroom I have used Sharps for, I previously used them in my last property too.

Sharps installed a bespoke bedroom for us and we are very pleased with the quality. They were very helpful with accommodating us with our complicated time schedule as we had to do quite a bit of building work before we could actually install. Everything was provided on time and with no fuss. Our only niggle is with the fact that we wanted an additional item, which we purchased at a later date and despite being told it was available in a certain wood finish, we were told later that it wasn't which has delayed getting the item. The sales assistant was trying to be extremely helpful but no one at the main office was able to confirm what wood finishes were available. We have had to make extra visits to the show room and more phone calls to the factory have finally (we hope) resolved the problem. Suggest that Sharps alter their brochure to include the actual colours available! Other than this, we would definitely recommend Sharps for a quality service!

Love our new bedroom! My brother had used sharps so we decided to call them as I wanted to maximise the space that we had. Good designer who listened to what we wanted, although he did say we could have some things that we couldn't according to the surveyor. Same thing again with the fitter. But we did get it all sorted in the end. The fitter seemed very keen to finish the job early and get away and there seemed to be a lot of wasted materials that we had paid for. However all that said the finished job is very good and pretty much all we wanted. The customer helpline was always very helpful and called back when they said they would.

I had fitted cupboards covering one whole wall of my main bedroom. The designer was very good and I have certainly got what I wanted. I also had cupboards on either side of the bed. The fitter was excellent, worked hard, tidied up after himself and helped me solve a problem caused by the surveyor not noticing that one cupboard would not fit under the window-sill. After a discussion with the fitter a happy compromise was reached and at the moment I am very pleased with the result. I also have the satisfaction of knowing that if something does go wrong, Sharps will put it right.

Overall, we are very pleased with the quality and the visits we received from designer, surveyor and fitter were good; all of these people were professional and knowledgable - a pleasure to deal with. However, there was some incorrect information/advice given which meant that I had to call an electrician twice, costing me over £100. I did give this feedback to Sharps but they did not respond. I would recommend them, but don't try to get hold of anyone to clarify anything as it just doesn't happen!

Happy overall, good product, great customer care once you've got over the "special discount" scenario. All the materials turned up when promised, fitter was competent and did a good job. It looks good - maybe a bit expensive but it would have taken me weeks to do it myself. Would use again.
