Stay well clear of these people. Two days after contacting their rather surly receptionist (Tues. pm) I received no response. Their very unprofessional receptionist lost the company a sale. If I refrained writing this review, I would be doing the community a MASSIVE disservice. avoid this company like the pandemic.

Needed a new motability car and was anxious as I’m extremely clinically vunerable Stephen was great which resulted in me getting in and out of the car I was considering and was very rapid getting me in and out from arriving doing what I needed to do and the car ordered was about 45 mins good rapid service and a free cuppa ;-) well done Hyundai Middlesbrough looking forward to my kona electric coming

I don’t have a problem with Petch Garage, just disappointed with the car I purchased. A Hyundai i10 Premium automatic. Gears are very laboured and sluggish driving. Apparently this is a disadvantage of this small city car.

S.G. Petch Middlesbrough ( Mazda ) Twice I have taken my Mazda 6 to here, and twice it has been nothing but stress. I could list the full unsavoury 22 days it took in total, but I think the edited version makes the point sufficiently well. It started with a diagnostics test, and did end with the issue sorted and a free M.O.T. , that is the good news. Firstly I didn't get calls returned when promised. I was verbally abused by a workshop technician, with no provocation from myself. I was basically called a liar by the workshop manager ( or to use his words, " we only have your word for that " . To top it all off, the dealership manager/director/part owner made offers of financial reimbursement, which were never forthcoming. This dealership has severe issues with some of their staff, and I am still unsure whether taking over 3 weeks to solve the issue with my car was down to, equipment, the staff, Mazda themselves or a combination of those. Whatever it was, my advice is steer well clear. Fortunately I have now sold my Mazda.

I had a great experience with SG Petch Darlington! I dealt with Kevin who made me feel at ease, and despite getting to the show room and not liking the car I originally chose to view Kevin showed me an alternative he thought I may like and I LOVE it. Thank you so much Kevin and the team for your mint customer service :)

Due to COVID all arrangements for purchasing the vehicle was via the telephone and internet. On collection the changeover was also completed with the minimum of fuss and efficiently. Overall the experience was good and I would purchase again in the future providing I could secure a good deal. If there is one minor gripe and it is minor the salesman advised he would send me a touch up pen for a few stone chips that I found on the vehicle which has not arrived to date. I also found the price competitive but had to travel 5 hours to collect the car and consequently had to arrange for an overnight stop. The salesman was very helpful on local knowledge of accommodation, places to eat and costs involved.

I enjoy a very strong feeling of loyalty to SG Petch. It results from receiving the benefit of expert opinion on the choice of car and the care and customer support which has been demonstrated during several years of servicing. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from SG Petch. From making an initial telephone enquiry regarding a potential vehicle to walking through the doors at SG Petch, Belmont we felt welcome & valued. The Receptionist was friendly & polite & the salesman, Matthew, was extremely helpful assisting us to the final purchase. Great service.

The customer service I received whilst buying my new car from S.G. Patch Darlington was excellent. Considering I bought my car during the lockdown everything was done to keep me informed and make my purchase easy and without complications.

I recently bought a new car from Petch and found the service both professional and knowledgable. The information was concise and friendly. My car was delivered in the stated time frame without any fuss and in line with the Covid restrictions

I appreciate that car dealership operations have been greatly affected by the COVID restrictions. However this does not excuse the limited vehicle information I received on collecting the car, specifically the electric handbrake "auto hold." Not having been made aware of the "auto hold" function I experienced a near miss collision on my way home from the dealership when I had to make a hill start. I would consider it essential that customers should be made familiar with the use of safety functions/features before they drive away from the dealership. I would point out that this was a 2021 new model Tucson that I had not previously physically seen or test driven due to COVID restrictions. I would mention that this is the fifth car I have purchased from the SG Petch Dealership and following my last experience it will likely be the last

Like to say a massive thank you to Gareth that works at the Hyundai garage in Middlesbrough. He went above and beyond to help our family at a very emotional time. He found the perfect car and made everything happen. Our dad was over the moon and brought him comfort to that our mam had meny yrs of stress free motoring ahead . Gareth was brilliant through out the process and the compassion he showed us was much appreciated. Thank you Gareth.

Recently bought a vehicle from there Durham SEAT branch, sales chap was great, very helpful. Vehicle developed a fault, from moment I contacted sales chap to the service manager contacting me, the service was excellent. It was recovered,repaired and back to me in no time. Fantastic, quick, friendly and professional. Would recommend

Initially I was very happy with my purchase of my twelve sorento from our local dealers but since have found that I cannot purchase a tow bar after waiting six weeks. The outlook is presently grim on being able to go on holiday over the next few month and my family is so disappointed. I now wish I had not purchased the vehicle as this is the sole purpose for the said vehicle. I feel let down by Kia and believe they should not have sold me the vehicle knowing that tow bars are not available for some time. Now a very unhappy buyer, Lena Lofthouse
