Extremely poor car service, customer service are very slow, inept and offer promises which they do not keep. My car returned in a much worse state than when it went in for a service. Amongst the failings: - Oil leaking from underneath the car which only occured after the service (which was classed as dangerous when taken for an MOT) - Rear wipers and washers signed off as passed but did not work when returned - Dirt left around the trim and in the driver's section of the car - Service history book not returned when car was returned - Bird mess smeared across the windscreen using the wipers - Promised minor compensation for a valet but this never materialised I would never use them again! They are not interested in helping customers just taking money and trying to upsell usually neeedless extras. UPDATE FEB: Car taken for an MOT and they highlighted a dangerous oil leak which only occurred after the service. Despite advising Servicing Stop of this multiple times, they have ignored this. I will be taking this to Trading Standards

Thought I would try as never used this type of service before. Quoted price for wife's 2015 vw polo 0.9L petrol £87 (VW main dealer £165 fixed) very cheap if not too cheap so was a bit worried of a call to say extras would be needed. The expected call happened Engine flush extra £46 + vat and £65 + vat brake fluid change, £55 + vat Pollen filter, felt like hard sell and extra £25 for discount on next service. Said no and checked with VW who include Pollen filters in price, said brake fluid and engine flush not needed on 22 month old car. When I paid to add insult to injury they also charged £1 for using a DEBIT card? which I have never had. If I had agreed to these RECOMMENDED charges total would have been £302. At VW I would have got a VW stamp full valet etc for £165 and piece of mind.

I had full service and MOT done with them. The services are pathetic. I lost my MOT expiry date even though I did just 2 weeks before the expiry date. After I made the complaint they told me to raise the issue with VOSA and that's it. They are not sure whether it was computer problem or garage mistake to not have the correct expiry date. Will never use them or recommend to anyone.

My husband got charged for a service and MOT at an ok price, but when he needed new brakes and discs the charges were ridiculously high - then the hum dinger, when you pay with a credit card they charge £10 - yes TEN POUNDS!! A rip off company that you should steer clear of - at all costs!!

We have experienced the most farcical and outrageous service from this company. Our car was held over the weekend and through the following Monday, after the payment for their exorbitant charges had been paid. It took many phone calls to finally get our car back at 8.30pm. We were lied to about which garage our car was at to have the work done and there was clearly a great deal of panic from the girl we spoke to at service stop when we said we were going to the garage to reclaim our car, obviously she knew our car was not where she stated and was trying to prevent us from finding out. When the car was finally returned to us, we had a lengthy conversation with the mechanic who told us many very interesting things regarding service stops working practices.. Please do not use this company if you value your car, sanity, bank balance and have a healthy respect for your blood pressure as it is bound to go through the roof as you try in vain to deal with their customer service department!

My daughter took her car for a re test but was not told at the original test to bring the paper back with her for the re test. When she arrived to staff were very rude and refused to look at the car without the mot sheet. She explained that it was with her husband in London and her 3 young children were being looked after in Sunbury. It would mean driving the car illegally. Ashley MOT basically said they didn't care and they could give her a copy but would charge £10 for it. They also refused to say how long the retest was likely to take. They were rude and unhelpful. My advice would be NOT TO USE ASHLEY MOT

I got a quote off servicestop for £103 approx. I could not believe my wife when she said it actually cost £233 - £14 dearer than the main dealer who also gives you 1 years free RAC. She gave them the go ahead after checking that the fan belt would also be sorted and was informed 'Yes all will be fixed'. However when the guy from the garage returned the car he said he had informed servicestop that there was not one in stock and apologised for this. I will now consult with Nissan to see if an engine flush is recommended and to what extra cost. To be honest I think £130 for a £5 bottle of engine flush and a touch of brake fluid to be extremely excessive. The honest truth is this sight draws you in with deceitful prices knowing they will add something on at extortionate prices. My understanding is that the garage carrying out the work does not receive most of this extra money. Yes you can say they asked you for the go ahead but once they have got your car people just say yes to save any hassle. My wife needed the car in good condition for a long journey and was eager for the fan belt to be sorted. (we will have to go elsewhere and pay more for this now) By the way your sale clock must be stuck as when you look at the sight it keeps saying hurry last chance to book. Then when you go back a new sale has started . hurry hurry, really I don't think so. Strongly recommend you go elsewhere as I will never book through here again.

The experience started off really well. Good communication throughout. Car was collected on time as stated. What I don't agree with is that I was called for additional stuff like breaks spark plugs wipers that has nothing wrong with at really expensive rates for example plugs £109 really over priced. Also they don't give you your old filters and replaced goods back. So don't no if it's been replaced or not. But then was charged £25 extra for discount on next service. Which I would like a refund on. Besides all these things the collection and drop off went smoothly. So upto you to decide

My quote for a service was £118 but has nearly doubled to £222. I was aware oil may have been required at an additional cost of £28.80 which I was happy with. When a customer service representative rang me he stated oil was required, which was OK, but also pollen filters at an additional cost of £80. The customer service representative said it does state other items may be required when you purchase the service, which is true, but my issue is that he also stated that the pollen filter change was required to form part of a full service for my car (a BMW 1 Series) - they gained this information from the cars on-board computer (I-Drive system). The service would be incomplete without the pollen filter change, therefore I find it disgusting that servicing stop sell a FULL SERVICE and then add items into the service at an additional cost even though said items form part of what is a FULL SERVICE on my car type. Disgusting level of deceit, I would never recommend a company that lie - which I believe they have. Thy draw you in with a low price, then force costs onto you for works that are required as part of the service. A fundamental piece of the service is being charged as an additional cost even though I bought a full service from them.

Forgot to mention on my last post, from the start I had always said I wanted to pay for what I consented to (the full service being £70.04) They refused to accept this and refused me my car until I paid £242.42 because they believed I was lying, why would I agree to something I was unsure of! numerous times I offered to pay the £70.04 and they wouldn't let me do it. they told me they would keep my car for three working days (this was a Thursday evening) until they found the phone call recording to which I explained how I needed my car for work but they didn't care I was just called a liar and that I have to pay! imagine if I had paid them, I guarantee I'd of never got a reply about whether they found the recordings!

Firstly I want to start on a good note, that garage who dealt with my vehicle and the staff from the garage were brilliant and apologetic about the way I was treated by servicing stop. My car went in for a Full Service which quoted online for £70.04 I even emailed to confirm this will be the price on the day (as I booked it about 2 weeks in advance) I got confirmation saying yes it'll be £70.04. lets bare in mind I am a young female with no knowledge about vehicles and this was my first ever service. Early afternoon on the day my car went in I had Chris from Servicing Stop call me about other things my car needs he mentioned about brake fluid and anti freeze, I'm sitting at my work desk jotting down notes whilst he explains, the way Chris worded it to me was every other year you need to change brake fluid and every nine years the anti freeze needs doing (I didn't know until later that my car is only just coming to it's 8th year not 9th!) Basically he said I needed these items doing, now he didn't ask me if I wanted them to be done and I 100% did not confirm for the work to be carried out. We ended the call and I had called my partner who has experience in this field he asked me to call Servicing Stop back and confirm the extra items need to be done in order to receive my servicing stamp, so I did and yes Chris agreed that these DO NEED to be completed for me to receive my stamp! I explained I wasn't expecting it to cost over £240 when I was only quoted £70 he then told me the work was already being carried out (it had only been 5 mins since the previous call and I didn't agree to it) The call ended and I asked my partner to see if he could make sense of it. Now this is where Servicing Stop broke DATA PROTECTION, my partner called and all they asked for was my reg and my first name, not once did I give consent to Servicing Stop to disclose my information to a third party! my partner could of been anyone and he found out exactly where my car was! n.b this has now been forwarded to Trading Standards through Citizens Advice and also the Information Commissioner's office. I tried calling back to get this issue sorted and was fobbed off by numerous employees reading the same sentence which they clearly had on my notes "Chris is currently on the phone, the manager is listening to the phone recordings to see if you agreed to the work" each time I asked for the manager my response from the several other employees were "he has just walked into his office and shut his door which means I can't disturb him" I was going back and forth, eventually spoke to Chris' manager who told me I was lying and he believes Chris over me because he is a 'senior advisor' not only that but he told me he hadn't listened to any of my calls because he couldn't find them! at this point he said he will call be back in half an hour... that never happened, so I called and called again. eventually someone put me through to Craig the 'accounts manager' he said to me "oh I can see on your notes that you believe you are being conned" not once did I say that which makes me think what else did they write on my notes. Craig told me he'd get someone to call me, yet again nothing happened. 5pm that night I called again and spoke to Chris' manager who said he'd knock the price down and 'meet in the middle' to £200 which I disputed because I felt I shouldn't have to pay for this when I didn't request it. (it also made me question are they admitting liability!) I then got transferred to Craig again who tried knocking the price to £170 once again I disputed which then led to being refused my car! Craig also lied to me and told me it was in a garage safe, which is a lie it was on a main road in view of everyone (I have photographic and video evidence) I spent over 24 hours without my car through no fault of my own, I spent nearly 6 hours of my day calling, being put on hold, being spoken to like I was a piece of crap on their shoe, I missed out on work which caused me to lose more money, I had the worst experience ever and this is only a short version of the day! the following day I had a lady call who listened to my story and apologised profusely she agreed I didn't need to pay the extras and sorted payment out for my car to finally be released. when I eventually got my invoice I noticed the original amount was £206 not £242 as quoted by Chris so more lies there also! After my incident I read into reviews and can see I'm not the only person with this sort of issue. lets hope this post will benefit someone else!!

I booked a full service and MOT on www.servicingstop.com They grab customers with an attractive promotion: full service at £87 and MOT at £19. To pressurize customers, there is a count down clock that tells you that the promotion ends shortly and when the deadline is reached, the clock starts again for a few days and the promotion never actually ends. Countless reminders are then sent by text, email and phone. Courteous service. It then becomes sour when they call you telling the price due. Everything parts or service added is well overpriced. Example: I was charged £54 for a fuel treatment bottle worth probably £10 poured in the fuel tank. Total bill for a car already in great condition: £606. That included an extra £25 prepayment to be deducted on my next purchase. If I am offered a so called discount on my next purchase, why would I need to pay for it in advance? What kind of weird practice is that? They boast about the fact that they were on Dragon Den but they should be banned from ripping people off. A rather large numbers of negative reviews are published all over the net, but they are still trading. The case is going to the trading standard. I contacted them three time to ask for a £25 refund but did not receive any answer. I tried tget in touch with them an leave a complain at: www.resolver.co.uk Reviews, mostly negative: http://incompetencetoday.blogspot.co.uk/2009/09/review-of-servicing-stop-ltd.html https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.servicingstop.co.uk http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3279126 http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews250876.html https://www.reviews.co.uk/company-reviews/store/servicing-stop

I had booked in for a servicing initially for the 29th Nov and called customer support to request if the car can be collected after 11, I was assured it wouldn't be a problem by the agent, only to have the mechanic ring me at 8am to say they can't pick up the car after 11. I had planned my entire day around this and all which had to change due to the communication gap between the customer support and the garages. Despite this I still booked a service and this time I put in the notes that please can the car be picked up after 9, later that morning I had a call from the customer service and I asked him to confirm if it is okay for the car to be collected after 9, I was assured that the car will be collected after 9 and it wouldn't be a problem at all. On the day before the service about 16.00hrs I had a call from the garage saying they can't pick up the car after 9 and it has to be before 8, I had no choice but to go with the booking as I wanted to get the car serviced I also had to use a cab to drop my kid all this was getting frustratingly disappointing. It doesn't end there and only gets better. Later that day I had call from the garage to informing me that things like brake discs, brake pads, spark plugs and few other bits were not 100% and needed replacing, the guy over the phone was demanding to make a decision just there, the total cost for all the repair was quoted was £704 plus the servicing charge, I couldn't understand how come a car that passed its MOT a week back will have so many things that are wrong, so I decided to not replace the brake pads and discs (as they were 3 times more expensive than a reputed garage). I paid for the service and few replacements which came to £300. 1. On the invoice for the SPARK PLUGS I have been charged 24.25 + VAT for each spark plug and reason given for that is "NO HISTORY OF LAST CHANGE". If spark plugs are working correctly who in a right sense will replace it. and as it was working fine it was never replaced what's a big deal in this. I have received a call from Garage for additional work which needs to be done and he said there is a spark plug needs to be replaced and it will cost roughly 25 pounds and I agreed because he said £25 but didn't mention that all four needs to be replaced. and if Spark plug is faulty there will be one or two not all of them. I have also checked costs of spark plug online so far most expensive I found is £18.99 Inc. VAT (http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Toyota_Avensis_1.8_2010/p/car-parts/regular-service/car-service-parts/spark-plugs/?408992420&1&051297d2f7f12a1c5fd00c2473e25f81b3405f40&000301) and how come I have been charged £24.25 + VAT. I would like to know what brand did they put in so that I can check price for that. 2. I have also been overcharged on pollen filter which £40 + VAT = £48. Again I have checked costs of pollen filter so far most expensive I found is £20.49 Inc. VAT and how come I have been charged £40 + VAT. Now I would like to know what brand he did put in so that I can check price for that. So for Spark plug I have been kept in the dark and replaced all 4 of them even though they were not suppose to and charged £97 + £19.40 VAT = 116.40 for pollen filter I have charged overly priced £40 + £8 VAT = 48 I have been to Halfords to check the most expensive spark plugs and pollen filer they sell and it was way to low than what I was charged for. I feel I have been robbed by your garage, they were conveniently lying for parts that didn't need replacing were replaced and they charged unreasonably. To add it all problems my car has been making strange noise and also has become less fuel efficient since its been serviced which makes me question what engine oil was used and if all the work was done by a qualified mechanic. I do like the concept of booking the service via the web and liked how its all designed to help out the customers to service their cars at click of a button, but then things that happened after that have left me in a disappointed state, so much so that I would need to think twice about using Service stop again. The owners of this company need to really think about all this and work on the customer satisfaction, at the end of the day if you don't have customers you won't have a business. BTW I have complained to servicestop several times but no action has been taken, not even a courtesy call to say we are sorry. #Disappointed#

Right an update to my review Firstly the time I actually pecifically put down and rang up to confirm was 9am to 10am for the pick up next thing I know the garage called up to say no we need to pick the verchical at 7 30 as we have got a busy day ( John) The Manager I said no but still he did that my mother and father are elderly and the car was being picked up from there address as I was at work (nightshift) Also told both service co and the garage and this was all agreed and said no problem which was not the case then on the day of the service before 10am appeantly the whole service is done and all the extra has been added on which I did not agree to Then the so called manager from service headoffice (Gary) was so unhelpful not good at what he does absolutely useless he is a senior customer assiastant not the Manager maybe they need to stop conning customers so they have to pay for a crap horrible service GUYS BE WARNED DON'T GO BY THE 70%OFF ATTRACTION GO ELSEWHERE YOUR FEEL BETTER AND TRUST ME WILL BE CHEAPER WITHOUT THE DRAMA AS THIS PROCESS IS STRESSFUL NOT STRESSFUL!Avoid Avoid Avoid
