I still haven’t received my order. I had to email twice before getting a response and was then told I would receive it on a particular day. That day in question arrived and still no delivery. I emailed two days later to be told you would look into it for me. I’m yet to receive an update.

Hi Eleanor, Apologies for the late reply and for the delay on delivery. We received your email over the weekend and it wasn't picked up by the team until the Monday. We did chase for an update with the manufacturer but they are not operating a telephone system meaning they are not too quick to respond. Before I ordered a shower set from Rubberduck I phoned up your office and was assured that you had the required item in stock so I was a bit annoyed when I was told a couple of days later that you were unable to supply and couldn’t give a lead time. I therefore had to cancel my order and source a similar item elsewhere

Unfortunately, as we connect to a number of top quality bathroom suppliers across the UK, the items do come in and out of stock quite frequently even more so given how busy the trade is currently. At the time of your call, we reached out on your behalf and the stock was available as instructed. Hi Andy, We're sorry to hear about the delay on receiving your order in full. Having looked in to things, we can see all items that were dispatched from our warehouse arrived in a timely fashion and without issue less for a deflector panel, which had a slight delay due to stock availability. This was delayed further because the panel that you originally ordered was a right hand version and, after calling to confirm the item for dispatch, you mentioned you actually needed a left hand version. While we endeavour to ensure all customers receive their items ASAP we can't really do much when an order is placed in error. We hope you enjoy your new bathroom Andy. I was promised a delivery on placing my order of 4/5 days. Then received a call 22/09 stating that the order as placed could not be processed due to not being in stock. I was told that a upgrade was available at no extra cost to me. I advised that my Plumber was working to a tight schedule and I needed confirmation that the order would be delivered in time. I was asked to confirm the date the Plumber was starting which he confirmed as 5th Oct and I rang your contact number and confirmed with a lady the date. She said this would not be a problem as the stock should be in by then. I went to the Redcar shop this morning - 29/09 - to check and was told they would check the warehouse. When I returned home I got a call stating you could not provide what had been ordered or the alternate mentioned previously but another alternative was mentioned and I was asked to go back to the shop. When I returned I could only see online photos and advised I needed to see what I was buying. A call was then made to another office and the guy at Redcar was advised my original order was expected this pm and he would confirm later. I advised that due to my Plumbers work schedule I needed confirmation or I would need to cancel the order and reschedule with the Plumber and reorder where I could actually see the item I was buying. Feeling as if I am being fobbed off now.

For a family run business your communication skills leave a lot to be desired. You give a delivery date and without further communication change it! A simple telephone call is all that is required! I had to call you to find out what was happening to my delivery. After reading your Trustpilot reports, which were very good, I would have expected better. Instead I felt very let down. Your man on the phone, Bradley, was most apologetic and has provided me with a refund of delivery costs, which in itself appears strange as your website claims to have free delivery. The delays in delivery have caused the whole project to be delayed due to tradesmen now being unavailable until October, they having been booked for your initial delivery date. Perhaps I shouldn't have believed Trustpilot!!!!!!!! I don't think my Trustpilot rating will be quite so glowing!!!! Product review to follow, hopefully better than customer service.

Good Morning John, We're sorry to hear about the delay on your order. We appreciate it can be frustrating when things don't quite go to plan and we try to update customers every step of the way. There are rare occasions when manufacturers change delivery dates without us knowing however. This is simply due to the volume of calls between each party given how busy the trade is at the minute (as you rightly said yourself) and how the current global climate is raising more questions for all involved too. With regards to delivery costs, yes the website does state free delivery. That's because on this particular item, we build the delivery cost in to the product cost. This means when rare issues like this do occur, we have the ability to offer customers a little money back as a goodwill gesture without killing the tiny margin we make on them. Also, we do advise that all customers wait until all goods are received and checked for damages before arranging tradespeople on site. This is because damages and discrepancies outside of our control, while rare, can happen. Again, we are sorry to hear about the issues surrounding your order. Kind regards, Rubberduck Bathrooms Team

Item ordered on the 17/8, 27/8 rang to find out what was happening, it was out for delivery on the 19/8 if the item went back I wasn’t offered a refund & is now o/s still waiting for my item

Good Morning Diane, Apologies for any inconvenience on your order. We did chase the manufacturer for an update last week before they closed for the bank holiday weekend. We've sent over said details after receiving an email response this morning. Having looked in to things we can see that your order was placed with us on the 17th August and the manufacturer sent an estimated dispatch notice for the 19th. Unfortunately, there must have been a stock discrepancy at their end meaning your item could not be dispatched on that date. Again, we'd like to apologise for any inconvenience. Products were delivered on time which is great. Unfortunately, we had made an error in an item that we ordered. Returning an item is very difficult. We re-ordered and paid for the correct item (which again was delivered on time) but the company refused to do a straight forward exchange. They do not collect items for return (paid or unpaid) and their terms state that you must find your own courier and pay the costs. To me it is clear they are happy to take payment but more than reluctant to assist with any discrepancies or mistakes that can sometimes occur, which is a shame!

We appreciate it can be frustrating when online purchases don’t quite go to plan. The reason we have the returns policy as it is, is simply down to the extra fees Rubberduck Bathrooms incur with deliveries and restocking from the manufacturers we connect to. These extra costs ultimately eat into what little margin we have left to play with when we discount the items so heavily already and make it very difficult for a small, family run company to compete with some of the bigger companies out there. The staff were initially helpful, however when there was a problem with a delivery date, I had to chase them up when it was apparent on the day that it was not going to arrive; no response back at all and it arrived a week later. Lucky for me I got the feeling that I was not going to get the bad news from rubberduck, so started talking with the distributor, so that I could get the true picture, and reschedule my plumber

I’ve flagged the overall experience as poor. However that is not a reflection on the level of service provided by some of the individuals in your business. Sadly every step of the way with every single item I purchased there was a serious issue. I do think the website needs updating to show supply of products that are either very delayed or not available. Sadly all the issues mainly from the suppliers to your business have cost me in excess of £1000 on top of a lot more than that, that I originally spent. But, it would be remiss if me not to thank especially Jared for the help and chasing that has gone on.

Issues are more to do with deliveries. Had no delivery time guide, and none of the trims for the shower boards have come.

Most of the manufacturers we connect to are having to deal with a large increase in demand whilst operating with reduced staff and working restrictions in place due to Covid-19. This has caused a few more issues than we would normally see and the communication aspect between ourselves, the manufacturer and said couriers has at times suffered as a result. As a previous customer i had no hesitation to place another order with you for exactly the same product. Unfortunately this time one of the items delivered was damaged and distorted beyond use. I made contact within a few hours of delivery to inform you of the issue, at which point i was advised that you would make contact with the supplier and get back to me that afternoon. I received no response, so contacted again and was advised eventually that a replacement item would be delivered on a particular day. This day came and went, without any delivery. Made contact again and spoke to different people and got conflicting information. Eventually a replacement item was delivered ok, only after being informed the previous day to say that they were out of stock ? Now that i have good parts delivered i am sure that they will be installed ok and live up to the same standard as my previous purchase. I would like to make further purchases, but this experience has certainly made me think about looking elsewhere.

They rang supplier for me and i was told it was instock and make order online. I made order online immediately and then 3 or 4 days later told its out of stock and the only one available is small but ive already arranged for my builders to come. not happy very pi**ed off. fix up

After looking in to your order, we can see that you had a conversation with a sales operative early afternoon on the 15th of June. At this point we checked the stock of the item you wished to purchase. As you did not purchase the item until several hours later after office closing , we could not process the transaction until the following day. When we processed the transaction the next morning, we were informed by the manufacturer that the item was now out of stock. We then took the time to look for an alternative before sending over the details to yourself the same day. I ordered the upvc cladding, took ages to come, then when it finally arrived 10 out of the 12 panels were damaged due to being very poorly packaged, the replacements came in good time still poorly packed but luckily only 1 was damaged. Disappointing really as the cladding itself looks great when up

That being said the ones used (Royal Mail, Parcel Force, DPD, Fedex, DX) are highly reputable and under normal circumstances face very few issues on a day to day basis. As soon as we were made aware of any issue with your order, we reached out to said manufacturer and as you said, a replacement was sent out in good time. not the best experience. Covid must've been part of it, but mistakes made along the way. promises of call-backs weren't kept, but some tele-sales people were outstanding, Ashley in particular. A "lost order" started it, then it arrived late and smashed. Finally promises of a delivery date went by, but eventually we got it....undamaged. thanks Ashley.

Expected to receive a tube of wetwall adhesive as per advert and paid nearly £18. But received 2 tubes of stixall general purpose adhesive which I could of bought for £4.30 per tube elsewhere. Should at least let you know before your purchase if the product is not the same as pictured on the advert.

Not very impressed.Recently ordered some Abacus elements sealant and it looked as though it had been opened already (blue sealant on tub lid) and id also question the amount in the tub.The order was poorly packaged and it looked as though the items were just swat in a box and sent off to the customer.
