“I would have rated Room to Grow as ‘very poor’ except, given that Covid has interrupted so many delivery services in every industry in the UK, the first instance of the mattress not arriving with the bed was acceptable. What was not acceptable, was the chasing I had to do to find out when the mattress would be delivered and being told, after the second time it didn't to show up, that it had failed quality control. This was three weeks after the bed had arrived! I then went through a surreal, nightmarish situation, a week later, when it once again failed to show up and I was sent a photo of a forged signature saying that it had been delivered!!! It was unbelievable.This was very stressful and involved a wasted half day of emails and phone calls to rectify the situation. The mattress did finally arrive, later on the day they told me it had already been signed for. However, the smell has been horrendous and I haven’t been able to use it yet. A week after delivery. I chose Room to Grow because I expected the mattress and bed to arrive together. Certainly not to have to deal with two separate companies - with a month’s time lapse between each item arriving. I would not recommend buying a bed from them at all.”

“Really good looking bed, very sturdy and my son really likes it. Did assembly myself and it was pleasantly straightforward and took just under 2 hours. Would highly recommend.”

“Extremely happy with our Bloc cabin bed. The quality is amazing and beautifully finished. I always worry about making such a large purchase decision online without seeing a product but I did not have to worry. I had a number of questions prior to ordering which the team responded to quickly and professionally. The delivery driver was brilliant. Popped everything in our garage and a really nice, friendly guy. We’re not flat pack builders in this house so did have someone to build it for us and he also commented on the high quality finish. Our son was so excited with his new big bed! We purchased with the set of drawers and pull out desk to give us longevity. He loves his den & can’t wait to have friends over to show them. I would not hesitate to recommend ordering from you and your wonderful product range.”

“The service was unbelievably bad. First you managed to deliver the wrong item. Not the children's desk I ordered but some sort of shelving for under a bed. I spent 20 minutes half-building it before realising. I called customer services and you said sorry, you'll deliver the correct item in a week and please can I spend 20 minutes packing up the item. No of course not, I had to wrangle with your team to ask for the privilege of not repackaging your incorrect order. So far so bad. I wait a week and guess what. You fail to deliver the correct item. Apprantely the delivery person came and yet even though I was at home waiting there was not ring on the doorbell and no call on my phone, though you had my mobile. Awful. I rang to complain and you said sorry AGAIN and can I wait ANOTHER week for them to try again. NO. I cancelled the order in bewildered frustration. I would not recommend this website to anybody.”

It is unfortunate that the wrong item was delivered and we try to rectify these situations as quickly as possible so it is not good to hear you had to wait so long for your replacement. We do state on the website that when returning furniture, it must be disassembled and wrapped in suitable packaging to ensure it does not get damaged in transit. Best wishes, RTG

“Quality not nearly a match for the presentation of the bed eg (1) instructions not to jump on the bed (presumably because of the flimsy base boards): it's a young kid's low bed - what young kid does not want to jump on their bed occasionally? The base boards and their fixings need to be much stronger. (2) Design of the racing car bed is such that the 'fin' / 'spoiler' at the back of the 'car' is positioned such that the child hits their head on it. (3) LED lights sent separately, after the bed. Not working. (4) Mattress purchased with the bed from RTG was the highest price one offered - described as luxury. Anything but. It's a really thin, inadequate mattress which has required supplementing by another mattress underneath. Really not good enough, RTG.”

“Company good delivery company a shambles don’t use if you want goods to turn up in good condition. Mine was chipped, boxes broken and driver using foul and abusive language in front of my wife and children.”

“Our grandson really loves his new bed and we are very happy with the quality and design. The instructions however, were not easy to follow even for someone with years of experience of flat pack. The other slight problem is that the bed does not go up against a wall in his bedroom and there are some sharp corners on the end of the desk sliders. We have had to put some protective corners there to stop him banging his head. Delivery was fine, albeit a little early for a Monday morning-6-55am!! Otherwise, we are happy with our purchase. Thanks.”

“Great solid beds. Not yet used as a bunk but as two singles they match and are nice and spacious. It was a tough build as the wood is extremely heavy but hopefully that means it will last for years. Only negative is I wanted to use one bed in the starter formation but it was missing one small bit. Unfortunately I’ve not heard back from customer service but the kids haven’t fallen out so all good.”
