“The web-site is easy to use and the product descriptions informative and accurate. Orders are fulfilled quickly whether sent to my home or collected from my local store. In the store the staff are always polite and helpful. Returns for unwanted items are always dealt with promptly and efficiently. The survey asks "how Rohan made you happy" but doesn't offer an opportunity for an alternative view. So here goes. On the negative side although the Rohan products are generally of good quality Rohan is marketed as a premium brand and my experience has been that where problems develop once an item has been worn a few times the customer service in respect of any guarantee is far below that offered by some of its direct competitors. This aspect of the Rohan service has influenced my scores. (Curiously the email asking for my review said "We’d love to hear what you think about our website and service" yet I'm offered the opportunity to upload a photo. Of myself, the Rohan team or the web-site?)”

“Tripped on broken pavement in Krakow last week while wearing my almost new Rohan waterproof trousers and devastated to find the outer material has a large hole in it. Thought this would be more abrasion resistant.”

“I've worn Rohan for 25 years, most of it purchased from The Outdoor Shop Conwy, which is unfortunately no longer a stockist. I've visited my nearest shop in Betws y Coed on 2 occasions and found the woman there so rude I would never return, I rate Ronan gear very highly but will purchase online or in Chester in future.”

“Bought to replace previous pair 12L Roamers which are brilliant - was well into a walk when i realised just how long these new ones are. They are a good inch longer than the old ones so maybe i could have done with a regular. I have previously complained of inconsistency of sizing. Should have listened to myself - however ordering several sizes/lengths on line is costly in returns and puts me off buying more Micro fleece pull on top in Crimson M is great. Needed the large for the zip up. Good performing clothes - just get your sizing sorted.”

“Well it didn't really. I ordered some clothes online for delivery to the store. I should have known better as your clothes don't often fit me (they are straight up and down and I am not). So I asked the store to return them. Though the store staff were polite and helpful as always, I realised they were upset because the returns would show negatively on their account, because I ordered online. I should not need to know this, as I am a customer of Rohan not a particular store, and I do think you are being unfair to them. You offer the service which is convenient to customers but then penalise your stores. Other companies don't do that.”

“Having used Rohan gear for travelling/trekking for three and a half decades, I feel the company may have lost it's way. The hat ordered was returned as it was utterly unfit for purpose. The gloves were fine, but no more than that. I have a solid collection of "old faithfuls" which have been acquired over many years and have proved to be outstanding in terms of functionality, performance and durability (my tropical waffle T goes on every trip and still looks great). I have long associated Rohan with such attributes, but no longer feel that this is the case. I very much hope that this changes. In the meantime, I will cherish the really good Rohan gear I have and continue to work it hard.”

“This review is for the Tour Shorts - good delivery, and very practical material. A few criticisms - the shorts are a too wide in the leg and could be a bit more contemporary, and the pocket material is a different colour and shows at the side too easily when walking etc. Would have been better if the whole outer facing part of the pocket was the same material as the shorts”

“It is a nice fleece- colour, material, style etc. However after just a couple of outings it is starting to bobble on the sleeves, which is disappointing. I am not sure how it is going to stand up to wear. Hmmmm”

“Rohan coats are great. I used to buy my shirts exclusively from Rohan but the quality has plummeted, with the stitching coming lose and fabric tearing easily. Until the old standards return, I will be getting shirts from elsewhere (how will I know when the quality returns?). Sadly, I have never been able to buy trousers as they are an unusual fit.”

“I bought a womens Hilltop Coat online, on sale. Coat itself seems very good quality, well put together, and nice and light. The sizing however is all wrong. I wasn't sure what size to order, so I measured and followed exactly the size guidelines on the website, which told me I needed size XL (womens 18-20). It's miles too big for me, but sale items aren't available in my local branch, and I needed the coat fast, so can't return it by post and wait over a week for a refund. Please update the sizing info on the website, Rohan! It's miles out!”
