“Disappointed that we we couldn't have an exchange for a smaller size and had to have a ferund and then reorder. Haven't bothered to reorder.”

“The gamblers are a good substitute for the GOA trousers I bought before. Sadly my last pair of the six I bought when they were discontinued together with my remaining four GOA tops are the best of Rohan . Now too much choice of overpriced styles too similar to competitors. Go back to basics of good value!”

“I had my trousers delivered to my local Rohan store and it took just over a week for them to arrive, having received an email in apology for the delay due to the sale demand. The 2 pairs of trousers I'd ordered were wrapped in individual, thick plastic bags and then both bags were wrapped in a third thick plastic bag. The trousers themselves are 100% plastic polyester (I should have checked before ordering) so I imagine the wrapping and the trousers will be floating around the oceans for decades after I've gone. The trousers fit quite nicely though.”

“The shirts I bought fit nicely as I got a bigger size for extra movement. The material on one shirt looked like a job lot that you seem to make all your shirts in ie tartan. I bought it because I needed another shirt, but I would have preferred a plain colour. The really annoying thing is just after a bought two shirts they were reduced again by another 10%!!’ That’s £14 less I could have paid. Not at all happy with that 😠! Put off buying from you again.”

“Had to return an item which was poorly advertised. The refund was simlly the cost of the item . It did not include postage on purchase or postage on return. Communication was minimal, perfunctory and uninterested. Very disappointed.”

“Received a pair of trousers and a boundary top. Trousers excellent, returned top which was too big. Still awaiting communication about the top and the refund. Rohan took delivery of the top on January 27th. In store shopping far superior experience than online.”

“I have bought these winter trousers for the last 2 years and they have been wonderful especially in the recent icy weather. Very cosy and perfect fit. However, the pair this year are tight around the knees so not so comfortable”

“I recently bought a Rohan microgrid fleece jacket in slate grey, size small. I have previously bought 3 others in the past, but I have a number of concerns with the sizing/design of the present garment. The sleeves are way too long - I will have to have them shortened (I had to have that done with the last one too). I had hoped this issue would have been identified by your design team - sleeves do not need to be 2 inches longer than normal with the loop hole for a thumb being totally unnecessary. The jacket is too long too, and now appears even longer than before…! I really like the original cut of the jacket, but it now is being designed too large in the two areas mentioned I like the newer fabric and colour and the new zips. Could you please look into this issue as I am a loyal customer from the mid 1980’s and wish to continue as such but find some problems hard to comprehend….”

“Having purchased many half zip micro fleece jumpers over the years, my latest purchase is a disappointment. Rather than having a distinctive feel, my latest purchase feels like an ordinary “polartec” style fleece.”

“The Farne Jacket is indeed lightweight and waterproof. However the hood design is most awkward….unless you wear a baseball cap the hood rides down over your eyes.”

Thank for taking the time to review our Farne Jacket. The hood construction with the adjusters at the side and at the back allows the hood to fit around the face, the peak should not be over your eyes as it can be pulled in quite a lot to establish a good fit. Using the adjustor on the back of the hood can make quite a difference to the fit. This then leaves the peak at the front protecting you from the rain. The design of the hood also allows for a hat to be worn underneath in cooler weather. Should you need any further assistance please contact our Customer Service Team.

“I love Rohan products, and would buy them in preference to others. The items I purchased this time were all good value and of the usual high quality I rely on from Rohan. It was the delivery which did not work smoothly. I opted for a home delivery as I had several items and did not wish to travel to my usual pick up point, the Rohan shop at Stratford upon Avon, as I would be using public transport. Also, my time has been used dealing with a close friend who is seriously ill. When I received an email from the delivery company informing me that it was going to the shop, I called Customer Service to discuss this. I was told to collect from the shop, and would receive a free delivery on a future order. I considered this. But when the order was delivered to an address close to the shop, and I was notified of this, I was concerned. I called Customer Service again, and was told they would instruct Stratford to post my order to my home address. After a few days, I called the shop, where no instruction was given by Customer service, and the staff were not aware that part of the order had been delivered next door. The lady who took my call was very helpful, she dealt with the whole thing extremely efficiently and was true to her word. I called Customer Service again to discuss the latest developments, but the person who took my call said she was a trainee, could not find any record of my last telephone conversation with Customer service,and that her supervisor was busy on another call. In short, she ciuld not do much for me. Fortunately, the parcel was delivered promptly to my home. I had been considering cancelling the whole order and vying not to shop at Rohan or recommend it to my friends an fellow ramblers.”

“I have several pairs of these trousers size 10S and are a perfect fit however this new pair were too small and too long. They measured 1 inch narrower and longer. Very disappointing.”

“Some of the clothes like the cool max jeans from 3-4 years ago are great for travel wear. Really comfy and breathable. But the new styles don't fit me and don't feel as breathable. Other items have odd sizing, can feel very polyester and go bobbly after washing. So quality varies. My waterproof jacket has gone bobbly after a reproofing tumble dry. Customer service on the phone is really good. In store service varies quite a bit.”

“Ordered 3 items… only 2 arrived. Delivery note says one item will be delivered when in stock. Asked customer service about the missing item only to be told my order had fulfilled. Copy of delivery note sent to them and waiting for response. This is a premium retailer and not happy that they don’t know status of my order but more importantly that they say it’s been fulfilled. I may update my review if I get a satisfactory conclusion. Oh, the products I have received are fantastic quality.”
