About Rohan:

Rohan is a much loved and iconic British travel and outdoor clothing brand with a heritage spanning more than four decades. Established by two outdoor enthusiasts in North Yorkshire in 1972, Rohan set out to challenge the status quo. With five founding principles that clothing should always be protective, lightweight, packable, versatile and easy-care, Rohan radically re-thought the way people dressed for the outdoors.

I have a micro lite jacket and is nice and warm but does not wick any sweat away making your clothes feel very damp when taking the jacket off. I have old Marmot jacket that looks scruffy and is not showerproof but is dry inside.

Mens winter fusion trousers: I bought these to replace my excellent winter bags. Rohan does not indicate which are warmer so the choice was guesswork - the fusions seem adequate for cool weather but my impression is that they are not as snug as the bags. I am not particularly bothered about style (I did return some ridiculously baggy Craghopper Kiwis) but the fusions are notably unstylish in cut. My main criticism is that when walking uphill these trousers pull just above the knees - I have slim legs and this is not something I've experienced before. The construction quality is fine but overall I am disappointed - unfortunately too late to send them back.

Summit trousers expensive but will not buy again. After wearing for half day go loose and baggy. Have to wear a belt as they start to drop down. Got loads of Rohan clothes and the are not cheap but wasted my money

In winter I have worn Troggings for the last 3 or 4 years and have 3 pairs of black ones. I have just bought a pair of slate grey ones but they feel much thinner. I just hope they last as long.

When the quality matched the price ! Now stitching crooked and loose , cheap buttons on shirts poorly sewn on , I have been a customer for the past twenty five + years the quality has gone downhill , I wish we had British sourced clothing I’m fed up buying Chineese.

My Ascent jacket does what it says and looks good. Roamers are great walking trousers with a sensible ‘rise’ for a shorty like me although it is a pity Dry Roamers don’t come in size 20 too. I purchased two pairs of Hometown trousers last year (size 18 fits). Looked good but the material no longer has stretch so now are baggy.

As a long time buyer of all things Rohan, quality products every time .. however .. I'll no longer be buying any expensive waterproof jackets. Brought one 6-7 years ago, at a price well north of £250, only really worn up the local High Street on weekends .. yet I was told the reason it appeared 'crinkled' when wet was because the waterproofing had failed .. and the time scale was about average .. compare that to a £20 Goretex jacket, bought 12 years ago, used every day for work and still going strong. I'll continue to buy shirts, polo shirts and trousers - until the quality of these too begin to drop. I don't mind paying more for Rohan, but I do because of the quality - NOT the name.

I would not say I was completely happy as I would say that your shirts of years gone by were of a superior fit and quality, having recently acquired an Equator Shirt I was uncomfortable with the fit and irritated by the interior cuff on the short sleeve, why have a cuff at all?

Rohan makes me both happy and frustrated. You make great clothes with clever materials, good design and a focus on functionality. What frustrates me is that you are increasing catering for large people. I have been buying Rohan clothes since the mid 1980s and the sizing is steadily increasing. You stopped doing 36in chest jackets and even your 30in waist Grand Tour Chinos that I have been buying for years are now too big for me even though you still claim they are 30in waist. A real shame because I will have to go elsewhere. I have written to you in the past and your staff seem to be in denial. Even in a Rohan store they won't really admit that the GTCs are bigger, even when I am trying them on! I think that you have lost the plot.

The web-site is easy to use and the product descriptions informative and accurate. Orders are fulfilled quickly whether sent to my home or collected from my local store. In the store the staff are always polite and helpful. Returns for unwanted items are always dealt with promptly and efficiently. The survey asks "how Rohan made you happy" but doesn't offer an opportunity for an alternative view. So here goes. On the negative side although the Rohan products are generally of good quality Rohan is marketed as a premium brand and my experience has been that where problems develop once an item has been worn a few times the customer service in respect of any guarantee is far below that offered by some of its direct competitors. This aspect of the Rohan service has influenced my scores. (Curiously the email asking for my review said "We’d love to hear what you think about our website and service" yet I'm offered the opportunity to upload a photo. Of myself, the Rohan team or the web-site?)

Interesting garments, good colourways and they go together well and work okay with garments sourced elsewhere.

I don't think I am the best customer to ask at the moment . But your customers services were helpful and it did get sorted . Regards Ian Ghiloni

Tripped on broken pavement in Krakow last week while wearing my almost new Rohan waterproof trousers and devastated to find the outer material has a large hole in it. Thought this would be more abrasion resistant.

I've worn Rohan for 25 years, most of it purchased from The Outdoor Shop Conwy, which is unfortunately no longer a stockist. I've visited my nearest shop in Betws y Coed on 2 occasions and found the woman there so rude I would never return, I rate Ronan gear very highly but will purchase online or in Chester in future.

Although I own a number of Rohan products I found the jeans and trousers to be a very poor fit and shape and resent return postage not included.

Bought to replace previous pair 12L Roamers which are brilliant - was well into a walk when i realised just how long these new ones are. They are a good inch longer than the old ones so maybe i could have done with a regular. I have previously complained of inconsistency of sizing. Should have listened to myself - however ordering several sizes/lengths on line is costly in returns and puts me off buying more Micro fleece pull on top in Crimson M is great. Needed the large for the zip up. Good performing clothes - just get your sizing sorted.
