About Rohan:

Rohan is a much loved and iconic British travel and outdoor clothing brand with a heritage spanning more than four decades. Established by two outdoor enthusiasts in North Yorkshire in 1972, Rohan set out to challenge the status quo. With five founding principles that clothing should always be protective, lightweight, packable, versatile and easy-care, Rohan radically re-thought the way people dressed for the outdoors.

I have been buying Rohan since 1985. Some things annoy me about the products. I have stopped buying waterproofs from Rohan because I think there are better products made by others. With the exception of Bags why do you keep changing trousers styles? Just when I have a style I like they become no longer available. As a minimum I expect a Rohan trouser to have a secure hip pocket , a secure pocket inside the left hand pocket and a D ring/loop inside the left. Why do you use black as a colour for trousers that are likely to be used outside in dusty/muddy conditions? I haven't bought a pair of black Rohan trousers since I mistaken bought a pair of black Bags about 30 years ago. Why do you keep moving the secure pocket in jackets around? I am used to having it on the left hand side of the zip but occasionally you produce a jacket with it on the right.

Quality has gone down over the last few years, the zips on bags in particular. I have a number bought over the years, old ones still great, newer ones many zips have failed. Last question to customer support about the zip quality resulted in no answer.

I do like the Rohan waterproof trousers, they do what they say on the tin, but please please could you make the ladies trousers a little longer from the crutch to the waistband at the front? I have just bought a pair of troggings which I will wear but the waistband is about 2 inches below my waist. I am sure you must have been asked about this before.

I already own one of your down jackets which, I find extremely warm. So I recently purchased a Down Town jacket which has the extra length and more useful for around town. However because the hood has no adjustment cords I find that the hood, when up tends to obscure my vision. It would be an advantage if some form of adjustment was incorporated in the hood, as every person head is not the same size and it would improve the jacket. regards J Hopkins

I,m usually a walking advert for Rohan, I,ve shopped at Rohan for many years mostly at the knutsford store ( first class service ) last year I purchased a pair of summit trousers, now I will admit they are excellent trousers, comfortable, love and warm unfortunately after wearing them last winter I developed a itchey rash which spread all around tha bottom of my leg, when I put them away in the spring it disappeared, the weather has now turned cold I have stared to wear them and the rash has come back, I just wondered if any one else has had this problem only with my summit trousers

The quality of your products is undeniably excellent ! The one thing that stops me from buying more from your website is the price of delivery 15 € (to France), that is steep ! and I don't know how much returning / exchanging would cost me so I don't take any chances even if I'd love to.

My last Rohan’s lasted 20 years they were lovely so comfortable to wear, and one pair I caught it with the iron, and oh dear, so have invested in two new pairs, one Blue and the other green, if these last 20 years I will be 94, and still wearing my Rohan’s, Thankyou for Wonderful Clothes Jeanette T

I love your products. They are comfortable, practical and stylish. I own and wear quite a lot of them. They are quite expensive because of the quality of the design and the materials, so I try to buy stuff in your sales. I find it very frustrating when I specify what I am looking for by type and size, and then I get referred to products where you do not have my requirements available.

Products are great However you do not provide free postage for returns. This makes me wary to buy from you. Last time cost 15 pounds to return product that did not meet expectation. Let’s hope this does not happen this time!! If it does I will expect to be compensated. All good online retailers do this

I have bought Rohan clothing for some 30 years now. I have found (with the occasional 'blip') that their designs are well designed and of great quality. However, I notice a gradual shift away from functional (technical) clothing for the outdoors to 'smart on the street' executive clothing. Summed up by a recent visit to the Inverness store where my enquiry about Dry Requisite trousers was "do you want these for playing golf?" I must say though, Rohan's customer service is amongst the best

I have a micro lite jacket and is nice and warm but does not wick any sweat away making your clothes feel very damp when taking the jacket off. I have old Marmot jacket that looks scruffy and is not showerproof but is dry inside.

Mens winter fusion trousers: I bought these to replace my excellent winter bags. Rohan does not indicate which are warmer so the choice was guesswork - the fusions seem adequate for cool weather but my impression is that they are not as snug as the bags. I am not particularly bothered about style (I did return some ridiculously baggy Craghopper Kiwis) but the fusions are notably unstylish in cut. My main criticism is that when walking uphill these trousers pull just above the knees - I have slim legs and this is not something I've experienced before. The construction quality is fine but overall I am disappointed - unfortunately too late to send them back.

Summit trousers expensive but will not buy again. After wearing for half day go loose and baggy. Have to wear a belt as they start to drop down. Got loads of Rohan clothes and the are not cheap but wasted my money

In winter I have worn Troggings for the last 3 or 4 years and have 3 pairs of black ones. I have just bought a pair of slate grey ones but they feel much thinner. I just hope they last as long.

When the quality matched the price ! Now stitching crooked and loose , cheap buttons on shirts poorly sewn on , I have been a customer for the past twenty five + years the quality has gone downhill , I wish we had British sourced clothing I’m fed up buying Chineese.

My Ascent jacket does what it says and looks good. Roamers are great walking trousers with a sensible ‘rise’ for a shorty like me although it is a pity Dry Roamers don’t come in size 20 too. I purchased two pairs of Hometown trousers last year (size 18 fits). Looked good but the material no longer has stretch so now are baggy.

As a long time buyer of all things Rohan, quality products every time .. however .. I'll no longer be buying any expensive waterproof jackets. Brought one 6-7 years ago, at a price well north of £250, only really worn up the local High Street on weekends .. yet I was told the reason it appeared 'crinkled' when wet was because the waterproofing had failed .. and the time scale was about average .. compare that to a £20 Goretex jacket, bought 12 years ago, used every day for work and still going strong. I'll continue to buy shirts, polo shirts and trousers - until the quality of these too begin to drop. I don't mind paying more for Rohan, but I do because of the quality - NOT the name.

I would not say I was completely happy as I would say that your shirts of years gone by were of a superior fit and quality, having recently acquired an Equator Shirt I was uncomfortable with the fit and irritated by the interior cuff on the short sleeve, why have a cuff at all?

Rohan makes me both happy and frustrated. You make great clothes with clever materials, good design and a focus on functionality. What frustrates me is that you are increasing catering for large people. I have been buying Rohan clothes since the mid 1980s and the sizing is steadily increasing. You stopped doing 36in chest jackets and even your 30in waist Grand Tour Chinos that I have been buying for years are now too big for me even though you still claim they are 30in waist. A real shame because I will have to go elsewhere. I have written to you in the past and your staff seem to be in denial. Even in a Rohan store they won't really admit that the GTCs are bigger, even when I am trying them on! I think that you have lost the plot.
