About Rohan:

Rohan is a much loved and iconic British travel and outdoor clothing brand with a heritage spanning more than four decades. Established by two outdoor enthusiasts in North Yorkshire in 1972, Rohan set out to challenge the status quo. With five founding principles that clothing should always be protective, lightweight, packable, versatile and easy-care, Rohan radically re-thought the way people dressed for the outdoors.

I notice a change at Rohan. Shortcuts, skimping in the design. Belts not included with trousers, and belts available to buy separately do not have the snug smart fit of the ones that I used to buy. The assistant could not find a Rohan belt on the Rohan stock system that would fit the loops on the trousers! Map pockets have gone - deep, in a great protective position also useful for mobile phones. Chest zip pocket on jackets - gone. Nowhere to keep glasses or mobile phone. I like rohan gear. I wear very little else. It is light, comfortable, the material is pleasant against the skin - but my recent purchases are not very practical nor do they look smart with an ill fitting belt. It seems that like everywhere else costs are being kept down / profits maintained but the quality / quantity are suffering. Rohans version of 'shrinkflation' Time to start looking elsewhere, I think.

I love Rohan clothes. I buy lots of their long sleeve shirts. However, on 2 recent purchases eg Portreath men’s shirt, the button holes or snap buttons are FAR TOO TIGHT. Such a shame as I loved the shirt designs but had to return them as the buttons were just a hassle - not acceptable on a £75 or so shirt! Surely Rohan must try them beforehand?? Or perhaps only young, dexterous people try them and don’t realise that the older you get, the more difficult it is to manipulate buttons. I also buy Rohan shirts as they have breast pockets which most shirts don’t now have. I need the pocket for my spectacles and biro. So THANKS for that Rohan!

Though I am pleased with my recent very functional sale purchases (knickers, socks and t-shirts), I am all too often disappointed by the range of choice available for women. Colours are generally muted and drab, the styling in tops, shirts and dresses lacks originality, and any patterned fabrics are decidedly 'mumsy'. I may not be in the first flush of youth, but I don't want my outdoor / travel gear to make me look older and fatter than I already am! So, in addition to the much valued traditional basics, I would like to see stronger and more vibrant colours (though less of the ghastly orange that has been so much in use of late) and more design flair in tops, shirts, dresses and patterned fabrics. Also some comfortable women's shorts that cover the knee would be a welcome addition to the range. The current Azul shorts just don't cut it - not quite long enough, a drawstring waist is definitely mumsy and the fabric is shiny and unpleasant to the touch. One thing I must mention is the excellent quality of service from your shop staff. The team at my small local store in Marlborough are always helpful, friendly and knowledgeable - and have gone above and beyond in trying to source specific items for me at very short notice. This is much appreciated.

Bought trousers on bssis of size guide. Inside leg measurement was nowhere near measurement given on size guide.

Not as comfortable as previous safari-competent shirts. You have to go back to 2017 for those - and with buttons! The reviewer on the Rohan website who complained about the 'poppers' was not wrong. They are hopeless.

Get fashionable. Same functional clothing but please, a bit of modernisation. Oh and sort the woefully slow and expensive postage.

Ordered two items, was not advised by local shop that either had been delivered. Turns out one sale item was out of stock (really?). The other had come in so we collected that. We were still not told when the other item had been delivered, left us unhappy with the service on that occasion. You do expect more when it looks like premium prices.

I was sadly disappointed in my recent purchase of two pairs of District Chinos. They were well made and good quality, but unwearable due to the insanely narrow lower leg. It may be that fashion has influenced the cut of the trousers, in keeping with the current trend of virtually skin tight design. I have regretfully returned my purchase and bought an M&S alternative, which are a more wearable design.

Very small in size and not consistent which makes it difficult to shop on line.

I've been a Rohan customer for many years but my most recent purchase had very confusing, conflicting messages about delivery days. First the parcel was due on Tuesday, then it was due on Wednesday, then a time was advised for delivery which had already passed on Tuesday so I assumed it referred to Wednesday (apology for late delivery still listed) then it turned up at 1pm on Tuesday after the time slot I'd been advised of but a day before! My plan was to be in for delivery of large package containing wellies as originally expected on Tuesday - I almost decided to go out as it's delivery was then due on Wednesday and was relieved not to have done as, having no near neighbour but being visible from busy road, the big parcel would probably have been left outside my front door. I've bought in your shops before or had ofems delivered there but definitely also had things sent direct but don't think Amazon has been responsible for delivery before.

The garments were fine, one didn't fit but the jacket seems fine. But, we collected from the Swinfen shop which was empty of customers when we arrived, the lady at the desk was abrupt and unfriendly. She showed me to a changing room with no lights but did give me a small torch. She did not engage in any conversation and certainly didn't make me feel welcome, A man came in to serve and he did smile but obviously felt he couldn't chat. Another customer came in and he was also treated very curtly. We feel that we will not go back to the Swinfen shop after being Rohan customers for many years! The gentleman in the shop has always been very pleasant and helpful on past visits.

In general I love Rohan trousers and over the years I've had many (and still have) of varying types, however those that i bought recently have been returned as they were definitely not up to the usual standard

Always liked Rohan but recently the quality doesn't seem quite so good. Mens trousers where the seam doesn't run true. Shirt where buttons don't fully align. Walking bags where zips fail. I still love Rohan technical products but need to check them over more before buying.

Good quality items but expensive. Sometimes difficult to judge colours accurately from online catalogue and sizes not always suitable for petite frames.

It's a shame the colours they use for the women's jackets are so unattractive; I bought a men's one instead. It would be nicer to see some jackets in basic neutral colours too, such as black, navy, grey

Really not worth buying anything at full price as everything is heavily discounted during the seemingly endless sales. I have lots of Rohan clothes but personally refuse to pay the overinflated prices until these happen. Come on Rohan just price your clothing competitively to start with?

I purchased 4 items in the sale. 3 were delivered by dpd, I can not fault them , lots of information when the goods were to arrive. However the last parcel was to be delivered by Amazon, I stayed at home all day/evening just to have a message it could not be delivered.!when I checked the delivery information, I was not at home . Which I was . Please can you use dpd in the future
