“Placed an order for a brown cord skirt in 2 sizes as not sure which size would fit. With the order came a mens fleece top which I hadn't ordered. No paperwork for the item came either. My husband quite liked it and decided to keep it so I rang Rohan to pay for the garment. I didn't even get a thank you for being honest by informing them of the item 'Rohan' sent by mistake. I could have kept the garment and not informed them but chose to be honest and phoned them to pay for it. A thank you would have been nice.”

“Stevenson hat - The colour of the hat is really nice. However, it does appear to be thinner than previous hats of this type. Not the end of the world but seems like a cheaper feeling product compared to last year.”

“Stretch bags are my favourite walking trousers but, judged by the last pair that I bought, and more recently by the pair of insulated stretch bags that I bought last month, Rohan is shrinking its sizing - presumably to save money. Both pairs were about two cm smaller on the waist than my previous three pairs. Frustratingly, they are still really excellent, especially the insulated ones, and good value for money. I really don't want to go up a size so I will get my wife to move the button by a cm (about as much is available).”

“The process of ordering online and then by phone and buying a pair of fusion trousers was largely good. As I couldn't easily work my way through the website, I ordered by phone and somehow the size was wrongly ordered, and I therefore had to return them. However, the next stage went better, as I phoned to follow up the order a few days later. The young lady who answered at Customer Services dealt with my query quckly and expedited the order, despite Covid problems, and it arrived next day. Well done!”

“The delivery was 4 or 5 days after the promised date. The reviews of the trousers said that the stated sizes we lower that the measurements and so you should order one waist size up. I did and now have to wear braces with my new Rohan trousers. Is really that difficult for a manufacturer to gets it's measurements right? I would normally rate Rohan well, 10 out of 10, but this was not their best order!”

“We are very disappointed that you have decided to close your Leeds store, in one of the largest retail cities in the country. We are also disappointed that you have ceased production of some of our favourite items, such as Escapers trousers and shorts, and not replaced them with equivalents. Your colours are less attractive than previously. Having recently ordered online and no longer having a local Click and Collect store, I now have to pay a delivery charge. This, combined with my above comments will discourage me from using your company in the future.”

“I bought the Metro jeans in black at full pricewhich was the nearest I could see to the Venture jeans which were a good weight and fit. Sadly the fabric is thin, the fit has changed and the length longer 24 hours later the price was reduced by £25. Just my luck! I have kept them ax u realky needed black but not goid value for money in my book. A gig disappointment.”

“I have been a Rhohan customer almost back to when the company was founded. In those days the clothing was unique in it's design and manufacture. I still have and wear my Olfio jacket believe it or not. Rohan's bags were revolutionary also both in design and the materials used. I became a real fan of your convertible line of trousers too. Most of the clothing lines in those days was of the "great outdoors" pursuits variety, Sadly to say Rohan have lost their uniqueness which attracted me. Many lines that I bought and wore frequently have all been discontinued and Rohan have become much more mainstream and in that field have become much more expensive. I used to shop in your London, Covent Garden Store and often the one in Ambleside. In most cases I always found something I liked and nearly always made a purchase. Nowadays I find myself browsing your stores and generally walking out without making a purchase. Mainly because either I can never find anything that really appeals or what does is far too expensive for what it is. I have been buying Arcteryx trousers instead of bags and all my fleeces, shells and jackets are of other manufacture. In the pursuit of profit Rohan have somehow lost their way. They are no longer a unique brand selling original designed items in my eyes. It is very sad.”

“Hi Rohan, I recently bought a pair of bags trousers (size 34) and found them to tight round the waist and hips. Replaced for a 36 and they were to big. I have been buying size 34 bags for about three years and have had no problem and they still fit well. Question, Have you change the cut to make them tighter?. Unfortunately I have sent them back. Its a shame because they are great trousers. I normally give a 5 for your clothing but on this occasion a 3, however constructive criticism.”

“I recently bought there eye mask and it has a couple problems I would like to point out. The light seeps through the nose area in the mask but also there is no strap for the back of the mask so if you have it up tight it will make its self come loose again”

“I have been buying Rohan since 1985. Some things annoy me about the products. I have stopped buying waterproofs from Rohan because I think there are better products made by others. With the exception of Bags why do you keep changing trousers styles? Just when I have a style I like they become no longer available. As a minimum I expect a Rohan trouser to have a secure hip pocket , a secure pocket inside the left hand pocket and a D ring/loop inside the left. Why do you use black as a colour for trousers that are likely to be used outside in dusty/muddy conditions? I haven't bought a pair of black Rohan trousers since I mistaken bought a pair of black Bags about 30 years ago. Why do you keep moving the secure pocket in jackets around? I am used to having it on the left hand side of the zip but occasionally you produce a jacket with it on the right.”

“Quality has gone down over the last few years, the zips on bags in particular. I have a number bought over the years, old ones still great, newer ones many zips have failed. Last question to customer support about the zip quality resulted in no answer.”

“I do like the Rohan waterproof trousers, they do what they say on the tin, but please please could you make the ladies trousers a little longer from the crutch to the waistband at the front? I have just bought a pair of troggings which I will wear but the waistband is about 2 inches below my waist. I am sure you must have been asked about this before.”

“I already own one of your down jackets which, I find extremely warm. So I recently purchased a Down Town jacket which has the extra length and more useful for around town. However because the hood has no adjustment cords I find that the hood, when up tends to obscure my vision. It would be an advantage if some form of adjustment was incorporated in the hood, as every person head is not the same size and it would improve the jacket. regards J Hopkins”

“I,m usually a walking advert for Rohan, I,ve shopped at Rohan for many years mostly at the knutsford store ( first class service ) last year I purchased a pair of summit trousers, now I will admit they are excellent trousers, comfortable, love and warm unfortunately after wearing them last winter I developed a itchey rash which spread all around tha bottom of my leg, when I put them away in the spring it disappeared, the weather has now turned cold I have stared to wear them and the rash has come back, I just wondered if any one else has had this problem only with my summit trousers”

“The quality of your products is undeniably excellent ! The one thing that stops me from buying more from your website is the price of delivery 15 € (to France), that is steep ! and I don't know how much returning / exchanging would cost me so I don't take any chances even if I'd love to.”

“My last Rohan’s lasted 20 years they were lovely so comfortable to wear, and one pair I caught it with the iron, and oh dear, so have invested in two new pairs, one Blue and the other green, if these last 20 years I will be 94, and still wearing my Rohan’s, Thankyou for Wonderful Clothes Jeanette T”

“I love your products. They are comfortable, practical and stylish. I own and wear quite a lot of them. They are quite expensive because of the quality of the design and the materials, so I try to buy stuff in your sales. I find it very frustrating when I specify what I am looking for by type and size, and then I get referred to products where you do not have my requirements available.”
