“Had a pair of dry requisite trousers that were brilliant covering many miles in all sorts of conditions. Sadly got too small so purchased a replacement. Case of if its not broke don't fix it. A belt is essential but no longer provided. Luckily I kept my old one. Zipped thigh pocket replaced with an unusable zipped pocket inside the regular front pocket. Tried to review trousers but now seem to have gone out of production. Why? They did everything needed for uncertain weather. Great fan of Rohans for years but starting to lose their way?”

“It's disappointing that Rohan is moving away from when it originally started - for travel clothing. There was less choice, but garments either didn't require ironing or could be hung to shed creases. This isn't the case these days because people seem to dress down and look 'scruffy'. The new designs - who decided on some of those, are heavy and ugly. Too many young people in design/marketing these days. I am still wearing garments bought over 20 years ago which are still going strong without losing shape or colour. Don't spend as much at Rohan as I used to - sorry!”

“Bought 34" winter fusion trousers, a repeat of an order of 5-6 years ago. Latest version is true at 34", but waist is physically an inch smaller than the pair bought previously. OK, but the earlier pair allowed the more easy wearing of heavy winter shirts. Disappointed at material skimming (minimising costs?) 3-4 weeks later bought a second pair of trousers for store pick up - this time never received phone call to pick up (as instructed by Rohan) from store over ten days from dispatch. Went to store, said they were so busy with sale that if you didn't answer they just hung up! Why not leave a message?”

“My latest on line experience was not good, information on the delivery was inaccurate and incomplete. Maybe this was because of the problems Royal mail is having with parcels. The products purchased were satisfactory so hopefully the delivery updates will be better in future.”

“Varies . Some items 'a funny fit ' . e.g. women's blouses too big on shoulders and skimpy on waist . I'm an older walker , usually size 14 or 16 . I like your extra pockets and quality usually good . In past garments have only retained waterproofing for 2 years . Now a Paramo convert re that . There sizing is also a bit weird.”

“Pleased with the ice pack vest ordered and love the dark navy colour. Disappointed with Rohan though for the extra large plastic bag the item was wrapped in. So many other stores now delivering items wrapped in tissue paper or just loose in the packaging. Rohan used to be ahead of the game on this but no excuse in this day and age - the evidence is there. Please stop using single use plastic.”

“Our shopping experience was fine thank you. The shirt I bought - Men’s Shoreline Polo - seems fine, but my husband is not so keen on the new design - shorter at the front than the back. Makes it hard to tuck in should he want to do that. I’m less likely to recommend Rohan now than I would have been a year or two ago. I’ve been a very regular customer in the past but I find it difficult to get excited about styles or colours now. I find them generally a bit drab, and not always very practical for adventure travel, eg secret pockets not very secret and often not very big. Sorry!!”

“Bought my husband what I hoped would be a really warm, waterproof coat, slightly longer size. All excellent but the zip a complete nightmare. Always engages but only very occasionally pulls up - can take 5 minutes to get it to work. Any suggestions? Used the email given for customer services but it does not work.”

“Already owning striders I took advantage of sale discount to buy a second pair. Oh what a disappointment! Different material and changed cut to make them unwearable for anyone but the thinnest thighed people. However excellent customer service, great advice and speedy delivery soon saw a replacement pair - one size larger than my normal- on my legs. Retfunding mand return equally made easy.”

“I recently bought my second pair of Troggings, the first pair having been worn practically all the way through Lockdown. They are supremely comfortable, but smart enough to wear on relaxed social occasions. However, after two years of use, they are getting a bit tired. So I ordered another pair, in exactly the same size and colour. I was dismayed to find that the fit of the new pair is nothing like my old ones. The body feels shallower and just not so generous. Has Rohan changed its manufacturer or the pattern of these once-comfy trousers?”

“There are a couple of things that weren't quite right about my trousers, but I have kept them as I was able to sew adaptations: Ladies trousers were Size 8 but were bigger around the waist than the size guide. So I used a belt for the fit but then found that the belt loops were poorly designed as they are not stitched in a way that hold the belt in place on the trouser waist. The belt just slips up above the waistband and rests on my skin or shirt, so the trousers effectively dangle from the belt. The loops stretch and are already too long, so they would need stitching differently for them to remain in place when a belt is used. (Which I have done). Because Rohan claim they have perfected their trousers, I didn't expect that kind of detail to be wrong, as it made the trousers unnecessarily uncomfortable to wear.”

“The gear is good quality, and long lasting. I've been buying Rohan clothing for over 30 years, and whilst I know quality is there, the designs seem to have gone off over the last 3 years, altering the fit of womens clothing and also dropping some old favourites. I particularly miss things like the Windshadow jacket, and the Trailblazer trousers. I could guarantee that a certain size would fit me comfortably but now i can't. Hopefully Rohan will have a rethink about its products.”

“Sorry, but the quality of the products has been dropping year on year... its to the point where the items do not last more than 1 year and just fall apart. every year Rohan cut more corners and reduces the quality of the material, stitching and accessorise. I would be very happy to review this in more detail with anyone who wants to listen... I also have examples of items from 10 years ago, 3 years ago, 2 years ago and recent purchases. “I'm very sorry but I've to return the trousers ,all the sizing as changed...after years of being a customer...not good. My size as not changed, the trousers have as I measured old against new.”
