Thank you for your review! We're sorry to hear the Carrot Cake had a bit of a rough journey on its way to you and wasn't looking its best when it arrived. Sadly Royal Mail aren't as careful with our parcels as we would like.
As for the macarons, they were from our Easter range hence the short shelf life. We do have a banner stating this on the website with the best before date as we never want customers to be disappointed with their purchases. We know dates can sometimes sneak up on us faster than we'd like, especially when there's a box of goodies involved!
