Rimmers Music (Est.1978) has an excellent reputation and is regarded as one of the best Musical Instrument Retail Company’s in the UK.

We deal with large amounts of goods on a daily basis via our physical stores, established mail order website www.rimmersmusic.co.uk and dedicated education sales division with education catalogue (distributed to over 26,000 schools and Music Services all over the country). 
We also have stores on EBAY and Amazon retailing musical instruments.

We also buy old instruments to recycle and sell, enabling our customers get a refurbished bargain and also help the environment.

We offer delivery and collection services for all products to make the process of getting your new instrument and part exchanging your old instrument easy. We use next day delivery and collection services for most items, via various courier companies we have accounts with.

Via these couriers we give tracking information for timed delivery slots (in most cases). We also sell specialist items that require an additional level of delivery service, items such as acoustic upright or grand pianos. These specialist delivery items are delivered by our trained team of experts who know how to handle items of this nature, are fully insured, professional and give our customers the installation with the care and attention they deserve.

We have established Rimmers Music Schools at each of our branches with hundreds of satisfied students of all age groups from 5 years old to 95 years old. Our music studios are purpose built by us and fully stocked with the latest equipment for you to use. We are also London College of Music and Rock School examination centres (and are highly respected by both), although taking exams is optional. We want you to have your lessons and enjoy them, some people like exams some don’t, we will teach you at your pace in the styles you want to learn, or take you through the exams of your choice. All our tuition is via private one to one lessons so you do not have to worry how you look or sound, just have fun. We will help and guide you all the way. Some of our staff also work as College Lecturers, which again re-enforces our background and knowledge in this area. All our teachers are DBS checked for security on a regular basis and many have students that have returned each week for lessons for many years, constantly improving to higher and higher playing standards and improving the knowledge they have. We offer all our customers a Free Lesson in our Rimmers Music School on the instrument of their choice. We currently teach piano, keyboard, acoustic guitar, classical guitar, bass guitar, drums, percussion, singing/vocal coaching, clarinet, saxophone, flute, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, violin and music theory. Basically we can teach you to play to a high standard and all the music theory to go with it. For customers who cannot get to our music school (and customers who can) we allow access to our exclusive online lessons we have created free of charge 24 hours a day.

Always excellent service when we hire grand pianos, which we do annually. Nothing is too much trouble. Our most recent piano was used on Saturday 16th September, for British Federation of Festival NW Championship, thank you.

I am happy with the stuff. Only have one complained re delivery. One item was missed out and got 3 items delivered by 3 different drivers.

I ordered a keyboard online. Promised delivery, after two working days, no problem. On the day it was supposed to be delivered, I received an e mail stating that the manufacturer informed you that the item was out of stock. I was asked if I wanted a refund. I said yes please. Was told no problem. Two weeks later, I have still not received my refund. Not at all happy.

Nothing worse when you receive a wrong order, white keyboard on a black cabinet, the replacement suppose to arrive in few days, you take a day off to exchange a keyboard. The time was specified by a customer service, you waited all day and nothing. The worse part as it is absolutely impossible to get through the customer service. I tried 6 times within one day to be on hold over 5 minutes every time. No one responds your emails either and chat room tells you be patient. I still have a wrong keyboard, wasted so much money, time and my nerves. I am so disappointed and not sure what to do.

The ordering was clear and straightforward and I received information about when I could expect delivery. I got a bit worried when I had not received my courier tracking number, as my order was my daughter's birthday gift, so I dropped a quick email to Rimmers Music. Within an hour, I received a call from Rimmers to explain that while the piano was in stock, the order had been delayed while waiting for the stand I had ordered to come back into stock. I said I would be happy for the piano to be sent on its own, but Rimmers kindly upgraded the stand to one that was in stock so that a complete order could be sent. It arrived exactly when I was advised it would - and my daughter was delighted with her gift. Thank you!

We ordered a digital drum kit from Rimmers, as they had a good price and offered free next day delivery, on a Wednesday so that we would receive it in time for Saturday. Unfortunately, I didn't find out until the Thursday, when it was supposed to be delivered, that in fact the item wasn't in stock, and that their supplier would be the one sending it out. I was then assured that it would be delivered on the Friday between 9am-6pm. It wasn't until 5pm on the Friday, after phoning them relentlessly asking whether it would actually be delivered or not, that I was told the item had been lost with the courier and would not be getting delivered in time. It came on the Monday, but it was too late by this point, and we had to hire a drum kit instead, and ended up costing my company around £300. They were able to refund us £100, but this was not enough to satisfy my experience with this retailer.

We are sorry we made a mistake with this item. We offered (as they have stated) £100.00 discount as compensation to wait for the item or a refund of the order (meaning we make a loss to hopefully retain the customer as satisfied). Why decide to wait and then leave an aggressive feedback? This feedback is very harsh considering what we gave them. Mistakes can happen from time to time and we always do our best to resolve them. This customer has no compassion for human error and efforts made to resolve them. To accept an apology and £100.00 compensation and then leave a negative feedback of this nature is heartless.

You said on your website that if I ordered by 4pm then I would have it by next day delivery. In fact it took a week. You should not make promises you cannot keep.

I bought a digital piano through the Rimmers Music website as they were offering the best price. The delivery service that they used was very good and their customer service was excellent when they promptly remedied a small error in the shipment without fuss.

I am unsure what this review means. We ask if our customers could leave us a positive review to improve our customer satisfaction rating and if they are not completely satisfied to contact us first, so we have an opportunity to resolve any issues (should there be any) before writing a review. This is a good thing, as we are asking all our customers if they are happy, giving them a chance to tell us if they are not. I fail to see what is wrong with this. We always want positive reviews and if any customer has an issue we would like to know about it before a review is written to show our customers how great our service can be. If something goes wrong thats when you need us the most and we will always do our best to resolve any problems to the complete satisfaction of our customers. It stands to reason that if a customer has an issue we would like the chance to resolve it before a review is written. This person has managed to find negativity in us asking for positive review.

Besides the very competitive price their customer service was outstanding.All the time we were informed about the status of delivery. When a back order occurred, they send a replacement without us having to ask for it. Very happy with the product.
