“I contacted Richardson and Starling to check the cause of mould at the corner of a room. The surveyor, Melvin, came promptly and was happy to spend the time exploring causes and explaining that there was nothing serious to be concerned about. Just better air circulation required to deal with condensation. It was a relief to hear and also to know that the company were not going to suggest any unnecessary work. Very professional and honest.”

“Richardson and Starling provided top class professional service from start to finish when I needed to get the condensation problem in my house sorted out. The surveyor was knowledgeable and easy to talk too. He left me feeling confident to decide on the course of action required without any kind of sales pressure. I decided to have a cyclone extractor fan in the bathroom and a ventilation system installed in the loft. The installers were very professional, helpful and considerate. They seemed to know their products very well and completed the work with minimal disruption. They explained how both systems work and were very happy to answer my questions. Throughout the process Sarah in the Aberdeen office was great at keeping me up to date and answered all my emails by return, something that really does make such a difference! I would highly recommend Richardson and Starling.”

“We had Dave & Lee Sheppard of the Aberdeen branch in taking care of dry rot for us. They were very considerate of our business needs during this time and did everything possible to make sure there was minimal disruption, mess and inconvenience. They kept us informed every step of the way, and completed the works to the promised timescales. The quality of work and the guarantee that comes with it has given us peace of mind. Would highly recommend.”

“We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Richardson and Starling. We hired them to do some internal plaster work, and render our gable end, as we stay in a very windy and wet coastal area. Bill the surveyor was delightful, informative and reassuring. The work all went according to plan. Two years later, there was an issue arising from the original work, and this is where it's crucial to hire a professional company like Richardson and Starling: they came back and fixed the issue, without quibble. Throughout the process Jacquie in the office kept us well informed, Daryn the manager regularly came by to check on the progress, and the scaffolders and roughcasters hired by the company cheerfully went about their work, covid compliant, and during quite unpleasant weather. We are so glad we chose such a reputable company to do our work.”

“We had wet rot in the roof timbers and also needed damp-damaged plaster replacing internally. The company employees were polite and professional, turned up when expected, no loud music, left the site tidy and worked hard. When a problem arose they came back and persisted till it was fixed to our satisfaction. We were left very happy with the result.”

“Excellent work repairing damp patches in two bedrooms due to bridging between stone gable wall and interior lathe and plaster wall. Work from surveying/reporting, main rectification (by Neil Ferries), plastering and fitting of vents was carried out in a most professional and efficient manner by the Aberdeen team of Richardson and Starling. Work was very efficiently organised by Jackie Hardy. I would very strongly recommend Richardson and Starling for damp rectification work.”

“Used Richardson and starling for some woodworm in a new property. They came round to inspect quickly and commenced work a short while after. The initial inspector and the guy who did the treatment were both very professional and explained what was needed, and how they would do it. It is quite difficult access to the eaves areas which was needing treated, but they just cut one small access hatch and got it done. They give a 30 year guarantee, so hopefully I won't need to use them again, but I would recommend to others, for woodworm treatment at least.”

“We had a mould problem, we contacted Richardson & Starling who carried out a survey and recommended that we have wall mounted fans fitted in the kitchen and bathroom. These fans have now been installed. The engineers were extremely efficient, they explained to us exactly how the installation worked and carried out the work in a very professional and tidy manner. Would highly recommend.”

“Extremely satisfied with survey, quotation and works undertaken to the solum of my semi detached 1930s bungalow in Edinburgh. Survey was carried out by Malcolm, with plenty of advice and a very prompt quotation with detailed options appraisals. The works commenced on the agreed date and were completed within the allocated timescale by Richard and Liam who kept me informed with their progress and ensured my property was kept clean and tidy. “Fantastic service! Firstly, Garry who first assessed our garage was very thorough and answered all my many questions! Then Kevin and James who came round to deal with our woodworm were great. “An excellent service from start to end. Craig who initially attended for survey, those who attended and carried out the work, Sonny, William and Scott. Yes there was dust but nothing like I expected they were so careful cleaning up after they were finished. There workmanship was first class. Would highly recommend them.”
