“The key just didn't match so wouldn't work”

“I have just tried the new key in the lock on my shed and have found that it is impossible to fit it into the barrel of the lock. I have checked again the number on my other key and the number thjat I quoted to you is definitely the correct one. Martin Round”

“Time from order to despatch was excellent, recieved them in Australia within a very short period of time. No Quibbles with the Service. Bad news, none of the keys worked ( had 4 cut and supplied to a LR Keying sequence). Tried everything I could do, including cleaning and lubricating the cylinder area to no avail. Contacted Rep Keys who responded very quickly suggesting to send them back for a Refund. Only trouble is the cost and time and effort to send them back (from Australia) means overall I am still out of pocket. Hardly worth the effort and I am still none the wiser on getting a working key as Rep Keys offered no solution here. Only rated as Poor because the Keys didn't work, otherwise it could have been Very Good if they had worked.”

“The key number given on the Halford a roof box same as what I ordered but does not fit alao the key metal seemed very weak if you need then to send back because it doesn't fit you begin to thing it's a money loser.”

“I was sent the wrong key and emailed the company, suggesting that because of the inconvenience, they might send me two correct keys rather than one. I had an email saying my correct key was being despatched, I emailed straight back saying I had been unable to use my roofrack as they'd sent the wrong key and had had to borrow one, again suggesting they sent me a second as gesture of goodwill. No reply and only one key was sent. Not impressed, a second key would have cost them peanuts, esp as there would have been no extra postage costs.”

“I ordered two replacement keys for a Triumph filing cabinet with key code 243. (invoice 100126318 - 12 May). Unfortunately they don’t to work at all. The number is clearly stamped on the lock barrel and matches the number engraved on the keys that were sent, but the key will not turn even by a small amount and I wonder if the number may be incorrect on either the keys or the cabinet. I tried lightly filing the shoulder of one of the keys in case it was not going in far enough but it made no difference. Although my father ordered keys from you for an unbranded cabinet (bought from DDS I think) and they worked perfectly.”

“The key sent was correct code WD032 and looked similar however, the blank must be wrong as key is 1mm shorter than our original. New key wouldn't open door, disappointed as we had a key cut at Timpsons and that too was 1mm short and wouldn't open the door, all they said it must be a special blank. Just have to be careful with the original key and hope we find our spare.”
