I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with my recent experience with Real Good Whisky Company. The main issue that has prompted me to write this review is the mishap with the Benrinnes 12-Year-Old 2010 Signatory Single Malt Scotch bottle, which was broken in the warehouse and could not be replaced. When I initially inquired about the delay in my order, I was informed that it was due to the unfortunate incident of the Benrinnes 12-Year-Old 2010 Signatory Single Malt Scotch bottle being broken in the warehouse. This news was disappointing, as I had been eagerly anticipating trying this specific whisky. Furthermore, the lack of communication regarding the unavailability of a replacement bottle added to my frustration. As a customer, I believe it is crucial to be promptly informed of any issues that may affect the fulfilment of an order. Unfortunately, in this case, I had to proactively inquire about the delay and the reasons behind it. This experience with Real Good Whisky Company has left me feeling greatly let down. As a customer, I expect a higher level of professionalism, transparency, and accountability, especially when dealing with premium products like whiskies. The mishandling of the bottle and the lack of a suitable resolution have marred my perception of the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. Moreover, when my order was finally shipped, I encountered yet another setback. The delivery company took over twelve days to deliver my order, citing difficulties in locating the address. Such a prolonged delay is unacceptable and significantly impacted my overall experience as a customer. I had to make several phone calls to Real Good Whisky Company to address this issue and ensure the delivery was finally completed. While I appreciate the assistance and apology from Dani, it does not excuse the overall poor experience. When I asked if I could use the discount code again on another order as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused, my request was denied. This refusal was disheartening, considering the lengthy resolution process I had to endure. In conclusion, my experience with Real Good Whisky Company has been disappointing. The broken bottle, lack of communication, and prolonged delivery time have greatly affected my satisfaction as a customer. I urge the company to review its quality control procedures, enhance communication channels, and consider fair resolutions for customers faced with such inconveniences. I sincerely hope that Real Good Whisky Company takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for future customers. With attention to these areas of concern, the company has the potential to regain trust and provide a more customer-centric approach. Please consider this review as constructive feedback aimed at helping Real Good Whisky Company improve its services.

Hello Roman, Thank you for taking the time to write this feedback. We appreciate any comments that our customers have, and take everything on board so we can always keep improving our service. We do feel that these issues are down to an unfortunate experience with the courier, but nevertheless, we are always working to better our company and give our clients the best experience possible and we will do our best to make sure these things don't happen in future. Re. the discount code, our system only allows for one discount code at a time, and we are unable to override this. I might point out however, that you had received both refunded shipping and a discount code on this initial order. All the best, Really Good Whisky

The product itself is 5* What gives it a 2* is the personalised message that was sent with the gift. I can only describe it as if a child had written the message on an A4 piece of paper. Scruffy handwriting with the company logo printed on top of the paper. Took it out and replaced it with a neater version on a card rather than an A4 piece of paper that the company used to print their letters. Shocking and embarrassing.

I’m not sure who to blame as it travelled overseas, but my box arrived with three broken bottles and of course, the lovely advent box was ruined by the whisky. I salvaged the majority and put them in a different box, but admit to being disappointed. Haven’t had a chance to sample the whisky as it is a Christmas gift, but am looking forward to that. Just wish it had been more sturdily packaged.

I was excited for my son and son-in-law to open their advent calendars this year. However, when my son opened his, it was all jumbled....bottles were not broken but were not in the assigned number space it was a mess. The price I paid should have reflected a good product and was hoping to order more next year. That won't be happening. Very very disappointing, it was a lot of money.

My whiskey came and a bottle was broken open and the remaining bottles were tossed around. I emailed the company about this and all they did was give me a £20 refund. Considering how much I spent, I don’t see how this is an acceptable refund.

My first experience with this company, which was to buy a "lucky dip" ticket to help out after the flood. As one of the many who received a bottle of Glenturret (and who thus feels out of pocket and quite taken advantage of), I doubt I will be a repeat customer. The reason this is 2 stars rather than 1 is that there was some good communication round delivery delays prior to my receiving the bottle, so credit where it is due.

I took part in the £50 bottle raffle in good faith that the value of all bottles >£45 as you stated. I ended up with a Big Peat that had Euro 2020 branding but was otherwise identical and available at my local supermarket at £32. I guess the £45 was 'list price' or whatever.

I felt cheated by the flood sale when I, like many others it seems, opened the box to find a bottle of Glenturret worth less than the price of the ticket. It also arrived late. Not a great experience.

I purchased a bottle in the Great Flood sale, firstly, to help the business through a tough time but also, as I was hoping for an interesting dram, perhaps a bit of value for damaged goods, but at least £45 of whisky. I got a bottle that is sold at less than this and, at the time, was available from other online retailers at £30. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. I'm also aware it was a kind of tombola, so wasn't worried about what I would get, just felt a bit misled that my bottle would be of £45+ value. Others I know have also received bottles that also are, based on market value, well below the specified £45 so it does not seem my result was a one-off. Puts me off buying in future, sadly.

I took part in the recent flood raffle. I feel that i was misled on this - the expectation was that you entered the raffle to receive flood-damaged bottles, that otherwise couldn't be sold. As it was i received a bottle of whisky in pristine condition, that i could actually have purchased cheaper elsewhere. Viewing social media, a lot of people seemed to receive the same bottle and as such i think you used this as an opportunity to get rid of excess stock. I think this is disingenuous and won't use you again.

I bought 4 tickets to the raffle and got one small free gift. A friend who bought one ticket also got one free gift. Surely I should have got 4? I would also say that all 4 of the whisky's I received were all underwhelming. Then the long deal in sending things out. I know you blamed couriers but I was expecting the goods to be shipped at the beginning of the week as you stated on your literature and not on the Friday when the courier then let you down.

My Whskey Advent Calendar arrived damaged. The shipping box was just big enough to hold the Calendar. The shipping box was a VERY thin corrugated box, the Calenar box cardboard was thicker. "FRAGILE" makring tape was used to seal the box (a whole 13" of it) but it was hidden under the 9" long shipping label so was basically unseen. I sent an email to the company as soon as the package arrived with photos of the damage (indlusding the broken bottle and soaken cardboard, with the bottles all scattered around from the handling during shipping). I am waiting to hear back from the company.

To be honest, I’m really disappointed with the amount of gin given to me in the Mother’s Day card. Just so little for such a big price! Not happy :(

My order was placed on 12/15 and on 12/23, I was very disappointed to learn that it would not arrive by Christmas. I understand that, this year in particular, deliveries are delayed, but had I known earlier, I would have made other arrangements. Whilst I’m receiving a full refund, as a first-time customer, I think it would have been better customer service to offer a me some sort of gift (nothing major - Perhaps a whisky sample) post-Christmas (perhaps by New Year’s)

Sending out feedback firms before the order is dispatched means a low score

First time i’ve used RGWC as usually stick to my tried and tested retailers however, it was my own fault not being quick enough when their allocation of a particular bottle I wanted went up for sale so noticed from a newsletter email that RGWC would be selling the same bottle at 2pm. I purchased the bottle at 2pm/2.01pm and checked out successfully. Brilliant. Received an email later in the day to advise they had oversold their allocation due to a system error at their end (even though my order number preceded that of others I knew who bought the same bottle) and would issue a refund and would send “a little something” as an apology. Fair enough these things happen so can’t get too upset about it. Appreciated the correspondence offering their apologies and advising of methods they’ll be adopting in the future to prevent similar outcomes. Received my refund a couple of days later and never did receive that “little something” which again is a little disappointing.

Thanks for your feed back. As per the law, our invoice states zero UK sales tax (VAT). We also let you know, on our site, that you will be charged import tax and customs tax by the Australian authorities . I'm afraid that as a totally law abiding, tax paying company there is nothing that we can do about this - sorry! Hope you at least enjoyed the whisky!

Ordered a bottle of 12yr old Springbank Cask Strength for a friends 60th Birthday and this was one of the few sites who had it and it was a reasonable price. I also paid £9.99 to have it gift wrapped and included a personalised message. Delivery was quick, however, it had not been gift wrapped and the personalised message was missing. Instead someone had written "Enjoy" on the invoice. I did message the RGWC who promptly apologised and refunded the £9.99 they also included a voucher code for 10% off a future order, needless to say first impressions are important and I won't be rushing back !
