“I cannot thank Pure Cremation enough for the support and guidance they gave me whilst going through the painful process of my Brothers committal. So kind, understanding and thoughtful the staff guided me through every step of the way with nothing but compassion. Strange experience having a non attended committal but having his ashes returned to me has been a great comfort. Thank you for everything.”

“Unfortunately pure cremation forgot to return mums ashes to us and we had to chase them. However once chased they responded and delivered within 3 days and the delivery was very respectful so 3-4”

“Pure Cremation was my father's choice before he passed. It was a good choice. The staff were wonderful with every aspect of the procedure and put our minds at rest. A special thank you to the telephone staff who were so kind and patient at our darkest hour xx”

Dear Teresa, I have reviewed the arrangements and agree that the level of communication did not meet our required standard and additional training has already been put into place to address this. We have also restored our system of a named case manager to provide a consistent point of contact for the bereaved. “Don’t like to complain but you asked for comments! Things didn’t get off to a good start when awaiting collection of my aunt’s body from her care home. Planned collection time passed and when both the home and myself rang to speak to your team no one answered and the message box cut us off! Not a comforting start on an emotional day. Further communication through the process was impersonal and many emails looking for confirmation along the way went unanswered. I hoped your service was going to be smooth and reflective of our modern times and had planned to sign myself and my partner up for the future. Unfortunately that now won’t be happening.”

Dear Mr Rose we are sorry to hear about your experience as this does not meet our usual standard of care. We did experience issues with our telephone system provider which has now been changed. I will personally look into the time taken to reach the care home, and while I am aware that this was one of the most challenging periods that we have experienced during the year we insist on good communication as part of our care and I am keen to understand why our process was not followed. Each customer receives specific and personalised written communication which is standardised for consistency. I am sorry that you felt this was impersonal. “I saw the ads on TV and that lead me to the website. I was impressed by the fact that they have their own crematorium. I was concerned by other providers who could not say where your loved one would be sent. I definitely did not like that idea at all. From the first phone call to when my brother and I collected Mum's ashes at the crematorium, the service was excellent. I had a lovely contact who called me on the phone regularly to update me. I really appreciated having the same person each time too. Everything went to plan and the staff at the crematorium who helped us on the day were very friendly, respectful and professional. I really do not think that the arrangements and service provided could have been better. I have no hesitation in recommending Pure Cremation wholeheartedly.”

“Could not have faced a crowd at this sad time. Everything was done for me. There is plenty to do afterwards. Urge everyone to have important documents in place. Will, power of attorney I also will depart via Pure Cremation and family can celebrate as they wish in their own time when ash will be scattered in some of my favourite places.”

“Everything was done exactly as I requested. The lady at the crematorium couldn’t have been nicer or kinder. We attended the cremation and were treated with respect and were not rushed. The gentleman who delivered the ashes was very friendly and pleasant. Overall I highly recommend them”

Dear Mr Rigg, we are sorry to see this comment. Looking at the extensive notes I can see that after overcoming numerous issues that could have delayed the committal, the cremation took place as originally planned at a crematorium of your choice, which you attended. This is usually all the confirmation that a family requires. In these circumstances, we do not usually make a separate call to say that the cremation has been completed and nor does any other venue. We will revisit our communication about this to avoid any confusion in the future. I do agree that it took too long to arrange the return of your loved one's ashes and apologise for this. I can see from the records that this has now been completed, which I hope has brought you comfort. Kind regards Catherine Powell

“Whilst the overall purpose was served and staff tried to be helpful, there were a number of challenges . The service could be improved by notifying when the cremation is to actually take place and to ensuring that deadlines are met without the need for customers to remind the service.”

“After my Brother passed away at home, it was easy to contact pure cremations and begin the funeral process. I was kept informed at every stage and notified when the cremation was going to take place. It was good to have a date and time to focus on, as we were not attending. All staff were respectful and pleasant to deal with and the ashes were delivered to me at an arranged time. They will now be interred in my mum and dad's grave, which we will attend.”

“Excellent collection (despite delay from Drs and Medical authorities - not Pure) and kept up to date. Only jiggle would be error in return date due to contractors making errors BUT this was sorted quickly and promptly by Pure. Delivery was prompt and driver was so polite and wonderful. Overall a great experience making things smoother during a rough time.”
