Everything was dealt with very efficiently and with compassion. The cremation took place when scheduled and the ashes returned promptly.

I phoned on the Sunday morning when he died and spoke to a member of Pure cremation staff. The Paramedics spoke to them as well. So I was surprised that when I phoned during the next week to update Pure Cremations I was told that they had not registered his death on the day I phoned. After that the service from Rebecca has been very good.

The staff were all very understanding but also professional, everything went smoothly apart from I had to phone twice to find out where my mums ashes were as no one contacted me. The staff were very apologetic about this and resolved the issue quickly.

Only thing that let it down was the lack of communication. People said they'd ring back but never did and was holding for long period. More staff needed to handle call volume.

In terms of a funeral process that is straight forward, we cannot fault Pure Cremation. The process is simple and easy to navigate. However, as friendly and caring as the staff were, we found we had to do a lot of chasing; we were not always kept informed at the stages we were told we would be which was stressful and concerning, however when we rang, what we were told would happen, had happened, and the information was forthcoming. It was just a shame we had to chase for it, rather than it being offered to us.

Very good service, unfortunately they have to be contacted during working hours (unless a death at home), which on a bank holiday weekend was 4 days later. The chap who delivered the ashes to my home was excellent, respectful and informative.

Overall giving the reason for contacting Pure Cremation the experience was very good, very easy to deal with. The ashes were returned to us by a very polite gentleman and each person that I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and understanding of the situation.

The men who collected my husband’s body were respectful not only to us but to my husband. When the ashes were returned to me the gentleman was respectful again. He even told me how to scatter the ashes without them blowing back in my face.

I am very impressed how smoothly and efficiently my late husband cremation went. I realise how difficult for you to give a timing on his cremation but it would have been nice to have known whether it was AM or PM because I spent a very unsettled 24 hours wondering.

I was very pleased overall, no hidden extras and when the ashes were delivered they were done with respect and a smart delivery driver and clean and smart vehicle. The only confusion was the date of cremation and delivery date of the ashes which I thought was the same day. It’s just this that needs to be made more clearly to family concerned, overall excellent

A thoroughly professional service. My only criticism being the biodegradeable "box" my wife's ashes came back in. I expected something substantially classier.

Dear Mr Mountifield, thank you for your kind comment about the care received. While I would not presume to argue with your personal reaction to the ashes container I would like to say that many crematoria present ashes in a very basic cardboard box and we considered carefully how to improve on this. The biodegradable cellulose box has been carefully chosen to accommodate our unique ceramic identification disc, with wrapper designs that we have selected and ergonomics that make it easy to either transfer the ashes into an urn of your choice or scatter effortlessly. As this will always be a matter of personal taste I have added an image for other readers to see the kind of container we use and evaluate it for themselves. Kind regards, Catherine Powell

Efficient, empathetic service. I chose an unattended cremation for my mum due to covid restrictions limiting funerals and wakes and plan to hold an informal personalised family memorial when restrictions are lifted. Thank you

My parents chose Pure Cremations and it has made me think about my own plans. The team were very kind and thoughtful from organising the policy to collecting dad when the time came. It was easy to get through and talk with someone at an emotional time. My only ask for improvement is communication. Once dad was taken away and cared for we were unclear on when he would be cremated and then it took 6 weeks to get him back. Thank you for looking after dad.

I can see that a provisional cremation date was allocated at the time of your first contact with us, as per our usual process, and I am sorry if this was not made clear at that time. The service feedback from my Mother was very good, there were some communication delays at the beginning of the process during out of hours and one lady was to be honest rude, however when Colin’s ashes were returned the gentleman was very professional. Thank you very much.

I've given you a 4 because I was a bit disappointed about the length of time it took for you to pick my wife's body up, but very pleased in the way you kept me informed once you'd picked her up, I appreciate what you did and the return of her ashes was much appreciated, thank you

Dear Mr O'Donovan, thank you for your comments. We always want to look after everyone as quickly as possible, and on reviewing your wife's case I can see that a number of things hampered us. There were delays in receiving the Green Form (needed to bring someone into our care) and it took much longer than expected for the hospital to release her into our care, despite active intervention from our team.
