I was looked after so much they are lovely people and even the driver who returned ashes was so polite and courteous . I was kept in the loop 100% I have had 2 relatives go with pure cremation and I cannot fault them

I already had a plan for myself in place, and when my mother passed away, I used their services. They arrived within hours of my mothers death and took her away very discretly. All the paperwork was done and her ashes were received back this week, thank you. However, I am sorry, I cant give a perfect ten here as they seemed to take ages to answer the phone. Sometimes the advice on the phone was a bit sketchy, and despite being told there was only two options to press, this was not the case. The urn with the ashes in was a little disappointing as it looked like something you would have flour delivered in. Dont get me wrong, it was a means to an end, but you would expect something better. Recommended.

They were considerate, compassionate, helpful and efficient. Their communications were regular and always timely with information to keep us well informed. Good value for money.

We chose this route rather than a traditional funeral for the following reasons: a) we are not church goers. b) we have never really understood how people who have not seen the deceased for years can find time to attend a funeral and say how much they will miss the deceased. We have always visited the living and only exceptionally attended funerals. c) as a family we would not have faced up very well to the period up to the funeral or the day itself. The Pure Cremation approach resulted in most of these kind of feelings seemingly almost ending with the removal of the body. We chose Pure Cremation, as opposed to it's competitors, because several of our neighbours had used them and well very pleased with them. We were also very pleased with them. We had not made any plans prior to my wife's death and so had to call them on the day. They came within a few hours and took her away in a very respectful fashion ensuring that we had had enough time to say our last farewells. They then kept us informed every step of the way and returned the ashes within around 3 weeks.

Very friendly, helpful and patient. Answered my questions even on a weekend when there was only emergency staff covering. My only niggle, and the reason I only gave 4 stars, was I had to keep calling for updates on where my loved one was.

I work as a funeral leader in the North-East of England. A family recently contacted me to ask if I would lead a service for their relative who had died after buying a package with Pure Cremation. They set a date for a memorial service, based on the information they had from the company and people were invited. The following week, (with the planned service still weeks away) they called me in great distress, having been told that their relative was STILL waiting to be collected from the hospital and that there had been a delay due to 'paperwork'. Understandably upset, they had to re-arrange their service, along with multiple travel plans from family and friends from around the country and across Europe who wanted to be there in person. They described the service they received from Pure Cremation as absolutely shocking. They will certainly be telling family and friends not to use Pure Cremation and as someone working on a regular basis with family and friends organising end of life events, I'd advise anyone to think carefully before being swayed by TV advertising campaigns to think through their options carefully. Many smaller (or even national) firms will offer a far more personal and timely service that does not involve your dead person being transported from one end of the country to the other alongside several other dead people.

Thank you for the feedback you have provided on behalf of a family you are supporting in arranging a memorial service for their loved one. We are concerned to hear of this experience, and would like the opportunity to look into this further to investigate and communicate directly with the family. Please can you provide the name of the person who has passed away, or the name of the family member we are looking after to customercare@purecremation.co.uk to enable us to look into the matter. There are several external factors that can impact our ability to bring someone into our care, such as coroner involvement or delays in paperwork. In all scenarios, this would be discussed with the family at the time. We will never confirm a cremation date with a family until we have all paperwork in place and the person is resting safely in our care for this reason. We do not recognise the events you have described. As someone in the funeral profession yourself, you will be aware that there are differences in processes across providers, but we are all working towards the same goal - providing a respectful final journey, and peace of mind for the families we are trusted to look after.

From the moment I informed them of my father's passing they were professional and respectful. I was kept informed of every procedure and will be having them deal with myself when the time comes to take away from my family as much pressure as possible, thank you.

Pure cremation where amazing for me and my family, after my dad had made his own funeral arrangements I was lost as to what I do to go ahead with his wishes and at a very difficult and emotional time pure cremation made it very easy and talked me through the whole process step by step in a calm professional way. I was glad I had them to deal with that side of things with hospital, hospice and coroner. It was straight forward, very informative and I was so happy my dad chose them. It was a simple process to go through. I would recommend to those who would like simple and no fuss arrangements. Dad made the right decision for his family to have no huge expenses or arrangements to make. So much easier on the family so we could grieve .

From the time I contacted Pure Cremation regarding my mother's passing I was bombarded with emails at all times of day and night demanding I complete and return a form that I was unable to do at that time as the coroner was involved. After being asked if I minded her body being moved to a crematorium in Manchester to speed things up (which I didn't agree to) the actual cremation was about 2 months after her passing. When I received the ashes, the ceramic disc in the top of the box was cracked. I would recommend using a more local service.

If I'm honest I didn't know what to expect as my auntie booked this last minute before she passed away. I was hesitant with it not being a traditional funeral with a service ect. I can say hand on heart pure cremations exceed my expectations. The team have been so help and guided me through the process. They have been so respectful and lovely throughout. From the first phone call of my auntie passing and I didn't have clue, they couldn't of been more helpful. The drivers who came where so nice and respectful, to the lady that brought the ashes back. The communication has been fabulous phone calls to keep me updated, anytime I rang I didn't feel like I was bothering someone. I would highly recommend pure cremations.

Everyone I spoke to was kind and informative -which is just what you want when you are grieving. The whole process went smoothly with Pure Cremation liaising with the hospital to release my Father's body and give him the dignified cremation he had asked for.

The funeral plan was pre-purchased by my father. On his death my initial contact was dealt with well and I was quite impressed. As the process continued I became less impressed as communication became quite poor and I find the security measures when phoning are unnecessary and irritating at an already difficult time. I would like to say the young man that delivered my fathers ashes back to me gave excellent service and I was very happy with him.
