My interest was peaked by the price quoted online. Cheaper than all others I’d checked. But, once the ridiculous additional postage costs (an extra £7 for mainland Scotland) and fairly average delivery time, I don’t think I’ll be using them again. 4/10

The drill you selected is advertised with free delivery to "UK Mainland - Excluding Highlands & Islands" with options for the excluded postcodes. These delivery postcodes are stipulated by the delivery companies & outwith our control. The dewalt router sent had obviously been a return from another customer. Dog eared and dirty manual, bags opened and restapled, marks on the tool itself. If you're going to send out returns as new, at least have the decency to check first. If I didn't need to use it imeediatly I would have sent it back.

Your initial advert for the vacuum was inviting for the price but what it didn't advertise was that it was deficient of its battery and charger which had to be ordered separately and the cost was almost double the cost of the vacuum. Fortunately, after having obtained the necessary battery and charger, the unit is very efficient and quiet during operation

Hi, we are really sorry if you feel misled regarding batteries & charger being supplied separately to the cordless vac you purchased. We feel that the website listing clearly describes the vac as "Body only" & the box contents also indicate that there are no batteries or charger supplied. Hi, we are really sorry if you have not received your e-receipt. Our system auto generates an order confirmation at the point of purchase & a vat invoice upon completion to the email address supplied by the customer. Fast delivery, good price but for some reason you sent me two drills and charged me for 2 drills, yet i only ordered one. Can't really send them back either as my brother binned the packaging(I just dont know why he interferes all the time) Not the end of the world though I suppose two drills are better than one?????

Even though as you say the packaging has been discarded , we have offered to take one of the items back for a full refund. You have declined this offer & decided to keep both drills. Bought a SDS drill and it worked fine for two weekends and then the continuous run switch went unserviceable. Not what you expect from a two week old drill. Spoke to PTW and they're not interested... they've sold the drill, now a warranty issue. Any purchase in the first 14-30 days should lie with the company that sold it. Most companies work that way but not PTW. Will not be using them again or recommending them. Highly disappointed. Avoid.

The drill that i bought has an intermittent problem. The solution offered by yourselves to take it to a repairer is not acceptable to me. This faulty product should have been replaced immediately.

Ordered a 12v version got a 240v asked to change it and never heard from them. As it was a cheap item I just gave up but in my opinion..... Mupets.

Ordering was easy, Delivery was not - was not informed that item had been dispatched and was not able to schedule delivery. Got an email to say it was out for delivery but it was not delivered to address on the order and no card was left. By deduction of the signature guessed which neighbour it might have been left with, not those either side, and eventually managed to get it 3 days after it had been delivered.

Hi, we are really sorry to read that this delivery did not meet your expectation but as there was no reply at the address you had specified delivery to, our courier (UK Mail) left the parcel with a neighbour. Hi,first I have to say my problem was not with power tool world sales team,they were OK especially Stan. UK mail are the problem,they took 4 attempts at delivery and I was at home every time they said delivery was attempted. I really wanted to cancel my order but Stan convinced me to not do it. I personally would avoid UK mail to deliver my stuff!!!

I placed an order for a Makita drill and vacuum set and paid for a Saturday delivery service as my old drill had packed up. The order arrived on time but the plug on the charger was broken and unusable, i spoke to Power Tool world on the Monday (eventually) they arranged collection of the old charger (collected Tuesday morning) and said they would dispatch the new charger for delivery on the same day. The new charger never arrived as promised and i was told it was due to the high volume of Black Friday sale and it would be dispatched in the next couple of days. Totally unacceptable service as i have bought and paid for my drill and four days later it is still unusable due to lack of charger and resolution of this issue should top of the list for Power Tool world. A refund was also requested for the Saturday delivery charge as the goods were unfit for service but this was also declined as the package was delivered as promised. Would think twice before using again due to the poor level of customer service received.

I've purchased Marita mitre saw and I'm very disappointed with its performance. It's is also faulty and doesn't operate properly. I called power tool world customer services and wanted to return it and exchange for newer dxt model but have been told I can't retur it as I've used it. I will never buy anything any more from PTW as if something goes wrong you are stuck with it! If I bought it from the shop I would simply bring it back get my money and end of the story. I very disappointed with how power tool world handled this matter. I just want to stress out the saw didn't operate properly before I even use it! (The guard that protects the blade doesn't open all the time! ) it keeps getting stuck! Well if anybody reading this and thinking of buying expensive tool from PTW think again.

I ordered a gift for my husband and the website said that it would be with me within 3-5 and nearly 2 weeks later it's still not here! To top it off the tracking link I was sent doesn't even work so I can't see where it is and now I have emailed you guys and still not heard back. All in all not a great experience, especially as the my husband had to go without a gift for our anniversary

As discussed they tried (not very hard) to deliver on 3 separate occasions & eventually returned the parcel to us. We agreed a different address for delivery which they found first time of asking. The tools I received were fine apart from the delivery.I arranged for delivery at my sons house as I was at work and the delivery driver after getting no response decided to dump the parcel into the wheely bin of the next door neighbor who had moved out weeks earlier. The parcel was only found by chance but I am still not happy with the service!

purchased a gas nail gun 4/10/16 used it a few times and now it doesn't work .I rang to ask for a refund or replacement only to be told powertool only offer repairs under manufacturers warranty even though I have had the tool less than a month. This would be fine if I only needed to use it on rare occasions but it was for regular use. The reviews seemed promising ,even people that also received faulty goods said things like "replacement seems to be working well" and" customer service good" . These are reasons I shopped with you. I'm now left without a very important tool in my toolbox and the prospect of not having it back for a good while. I feel that not offering a t least a replacement under the circumstances of the tool being only used about 4 times and the short period I have had it, falls far below the standard I expect and have received from other tool suppliers. Dont get me wrong, purchase and delivery experience very good but in my case that's where it ends. To anyone reading this just be aware if it goes wrong very quickly like mine, you will be without it for as long as it takes to have it repaired and don't forget the time it takes to have it picked up and re-delivered.

Hi, we are sorry that your nail gun has a potential fault but we feel that Hitachi (the manufacturer) have a first class warranty system. Many nail gun faults are actually caused either by the gas or nails rather than the gun itself & this is why Hitachi will collect & return directly to the user within a matter of days either a repaired or replaced machine. Hi, I bought some tools last Friday and there's a missing saw blade. I sent an email on Monday explaining about this issue, today is Thursday and I didn't get any answer yet. I paid for a next day delivery , it means that I need this as soon as possible. Very disappointed with you!
