Great Installation - but getting to the appointment position was a long protracted and trying experience

Need to carry out actual live site survey prior to quote and installation so the electrician can help determine the most appropriate cable route. Pod point put a great deal of work on the customer to provide photos of the route ( which the customer has to decide) and a long narrative to explain what could be a 5 minute visit from a local pro installer at the end of their day. Actual install went perfect, Corey was excellent!

Dealing with the Pod Point organisation was initially difficult but once communications issues were resolved the process went to plan. The guy who came to install the unit (Ian) from EDF was excellent and really helpful. Two charges in all god at present

Relative easy to order, had to make a couple of calls to reschedule as unable to change on the Web. Excellent installation of pod point unit. Unable to test / try out as still awaiting delivery of EV.

I phoned on 20th July to say that I was on holiday for the date offered (4th August) and never recieved a phone call or email offering a new date. When I phoned on 2nd August I was given 13th August which got moved to 11th August and was then cancelled altogether. It was eventually fitted on 2nd September, 4 weeks after I'd got the car. Generally communication is not as affective as it should be. There needs to be a contact email for customer queries that gets responded to, as the telephone service isn't working. For the first 4 weeks of owning my car I had the inconvienience and extra cost of having to use a public charger. All very frustrating. I would stress that the person who completed the installation was excellent.

The guy who finally installed it was quick, polite and efficient. Everything before that was terrible - no communication, difficult getting through on the phone, slow unhelpful email replies.

well - the secind guy that came was fabulous, just got on with it and did the job quickly and professionally. sadly, the first engineer (in an EDF van) clearly wasnt experienced - declared that the job was a 2 man job - which it isnt/wasnt - and just generally didnt put in the required effort

The actual installation was painless and very efficient however the form filling on line took me one and a half days, it was very confusing and though I sent a contact message asking for help there was no response.

More discussion required about the best route before installation day. Edf installer was helpful and did the external wiring etc well . He did break a few meters of cast iron guttering via his drill . But said pod point would cover the cost on installing a new section . Generally pleased with my podpoint though

Remote processes are a bit of a pain and anyone even less tech savvy than me would struggle!

could on been better to be fair, I provided pictures and details, 1st engineer didn't do the job, the second one was reluctant but eventually did the job. took much longer than I was told.

He came on a very wet day and the external construction was delayed by the rain which incurred me with an extra charge of £131 as he was over the time allocated for this job which bugged me !

after a very bad initial contact I am pleased to say that once the installation had been booked, everything went to plan and I am happy with the actual installation.

The actual installation was good but having to "survey" the property by checking energy supplies, wiring and providing photos was confusing - someone should come out to do that. A phone call at the start of the process would be better than emails going back and forth so that process was explained clearly

My initial contact with Pod Point was ok. However the constant requests for more and more photos of the meter and the house frontage etc were very time-consuming and annoying. I think you need to be much clearer as to what is required. The actual installation was excellent. The electrician was very helpful and came up with good suggestions for the routing of the cable.

Administration was not good, the installer was lovely and the price appears competetive, but watch out for extras
