Very pleased now but a lot for a 75 year old to understand. I really didn't understand what was required. Hope it's alright now. Seemed very confusing with three different contractors involved. Sse, Utility warehouse and Pod point. Better with a Project Manager

In line with others, I don’t agree with having to pay the full cost up front before any work has been carried out, this is not right, you shouldn’t have to pay up front for anything like this. It took almost 2 months to get the Podpoint installed, they cancelled 3 booked appointments, the last 2 cancellations were only at a day’s notice. When it was installed the installer left without connecting the charger to the internet due I was told to a poor / weak internet connection which was not the case. I was left with trying to do this myself which took a great amount of time and effort despite me being very computer literate. I then could not use the charger for the first time the next day, it would not work. In desperation I rang the help desk and was told it was due to a scheduled charging being set up but I do not know how this was done. Roberto on the Helpdesk was absolutely brilliant and could not have been more helpful, and I could not fault his help which got the charger working again. The charger is now working ok but the whole installation process was very long winded and traumatic and could have been much much better.

The installation was not smooth. I spent at least an hour providing Podpoint with photos of the expected route vis their website as requested; our installer confessed he had 'not had time' to look at this. Having been shown round the route, he succeeded in drilling, not through the outside wall but into our utility room, damaging both the skirting and the vinyl floor, which as a result now needs to be replaced. We are still awaiting details from Pod Point of when this will happen. The charger also did not at first function when demonstrated, although it did subsequently.

Poor communication, terrible planning requiring constant chasing, unjustifiably expensive groundworks, and still no contact following complaint made a fortnight ago.

I am still waiting for a replacement trunking cover that the installer cracked during installation. I still await confirmation of the extra 2 years warranty offered to me foc during order placement with Harry Cockerell.

Initial visit to review area was fine. on second visit, one installer was treading on plants with a view that they were simply in the way. I understand area must be clear but I don't think Pod Point feel customers need to rip out all plants around perimeter of property? hopefully not! Some due care would have been nice and in response when I asked to please take care. Very hidden in T&C's that we would not be standard installation and therefore a massive change in price for us; zero to over £600. communication with scheduling all fine. It's a shame a whole survey has to be undertaken by customer which takes considerable time and then a visit is arranged anyway especially when paying considerable £. Marked as poor for Booking process and slot scheduling experience as took over 6 weeks from ownership of the car.

Couldn't install first time despite everything being as they said it would be to fit it to their recommendation. Then tried to charge me £420 extra to fit as they had described as it involved running a cable over 6 feet in the air over a door frame. (£100 to hire a step ladder and £250 for someone to hold the stepladder). Second time was fitted, but only after I suggested how to run the cables without going over 6 feet in the air. You send all the information and pictures of the location and they tell you how they are going to fit it and than can't do it! Attitude of Customer Service Team Leader was appalling, clearly in a wrongly titled role. Now fitted and didn't pay the additional £420 requested, but certainly would not recommend.

Still awaiting an email to link the Pod Point up to my phone because it isn’t working.

Long waiting time of 10 weeks before installation which was rather irritating as the full charge was made at the outset. Installation went well but there was no test involving real car charging. On my first charge it was only 2.5kw and the charger would not add to the app. This was remedied remotely by customer support.

The installation system was shambolic. After completing a survey then getting a electrical contractor to fit the new fuse box and cabling, it took numerous calls to arrange installation. The pod point engineer could not fit on the first visits he had / we had not been sent the right cable and NCB. Another visit was arranged were the pod point was fitted, but not the NCB as this had not been sent at that time. a third visit and by this time two NCB fuses had been sent. the process is in the region of six weeks. The engineer that came each time was very helpful proffessional but embarrassed.

Two-star is only because everything was perfect from the moment I went on to your website and took payment. BUT BUTthe charging POD doesn't work !!......... I tried to charge the car the first time on Sunday for a 150mile return trip in 48hrs time. And been informed that I will have to wait 2 days before confirmation of what happens next !!!!! Not happy.

This was not the best experience of a home installation I can imagine. The main problem (delay) was caused by the incorrect circuit breaker being ordered by the office.

I have had two installations, both poor for different reasons One made a real mess of the wall inside the house and was just not professional, the other did the job quickly but failed to link the pod up to the internet before leaving. Shoddy service is the norm. Probably too many bookings, not enough staff and too focused on making hey whilst the sun shines. Unfortunately would not recommend Podpoint to any friends or colleagues.

Takes the company a week to respond to an email, communication appalling. I initially asked for a longer cable but the order was ignored. Second order I forgot the extra cable length . After installation I queried it and they asked me for 800 for a new charger. Great. Thanks guys. The fitter was superb, efficient friendly and polite and very capable

Installer was great, got the install done with no issues. The only thing is the pod point is no quicker than my 3 pin plug atm. So very annoying having spent about £1000 pound for something I already had! Tried to get in touch to get some help, and nothing as yet!

The actual installation was fine, but getting to that point was one of most painful experiences I've ever had. The installation was supposed to have been free and funded by the government but it took more than 6 months and so missed the deadline.

Reported on the day that the electrical contractor had broken the top hinge of the electricity meter door. Despite being acknowledged, nobody has been back for over 4 weeks.
