The guys that did the install were great, the guy who took the order didn’t listen and the I had to order extras at the last minute.

Trying to get to the point that we could arrange an installation date was painful! Took probably 4-6 weeks. Our car dealership had to intervene and once they did everything went smoothly. Installation on the day was great. The guys were quick and friendly and explained everything.

It took a while to get the Wi-Fi working but the installation is ok. Fitter left a mess and trampled mud into the house.

The installer was excellent and flexible, but I found the Pod Point project management unhelpful, including conflicting advice, wrong equipment provided which meant the installer needed to return. A so-so experience which has dragged on and which I am glad to see finished

The buying experience was poor. It was hard to tell the difference between the two options. Once bought, the comms and experience of where to install the pod and where the RCD unit is and what I needed for the installation to go ahead was confusing. The email comms were not easy to follow. Don’t get me wrong it wasnt impossible but it was far from easy or enjoyable. You also went quiet for around 10 days which was disconcerting. Happy to provide further details if you wish.

The whole experience has been a succession of emails, replies that don’t get answered and difficulties with communication. Considering that for most people this will be uncharted territory thIs current model of working needs attention. The emails sent out called Annex forms needed completion by more than one party and thankfully the other parties had previous experience of this documentation as again, guidance was limited...Thankfully our pod is now fitted and is working well, and only 2 weeks after the car was delivered...

The PodPoint is great. It took a lot of paperwork to get to the final point of agreeing an installation date i.e. grant approval, risk assessments, etc. which I suppose is understandable, given the current situation. I don't understand why the charging cable was not included as part of the installation. Slightly frustrating to finally get the installation and not be able to use the charger, as the cable gets delivered separately (and post installation of the PodPoint)? Installer was friendly and did a good job,

the installer was very polite and helpful - but i did not realise i had ordered a charge that did not have a fixed cord. i ordered a universal charger not realising i would have to use my travel cable. it also unhelpfully protrudes from the wall by around 12 inches meaning bags and shoulders bump into it - there needs to be more clarity about what the products are and the various options each solution has. it also means I was sold a holster which according to the fitter i cannot use nor to he offer to install it?

The information required to assess suitability is far too complicated - I understand the need to check customers current electrical installation - but this would be far better done by means of a visit to the customers premises. The actual installation was well done and the people seemed professional and thorough.

I wasn't made aware by pod point that a sub contractor would be installing my system, although the work was carried out in a good manner by the sub contractor I believe they were very quick to find a way of charging for extra work. £48 additional charges were applied that I believe to be very excessive for work 100mm above the hight limit and a short length of earth cable to a water pipe.

Ordering a challenge, Pod-Point didn’t actually know what could or could not be installed at the property, but the firm who did the actual installation were great.

The order process was very delayed and drawn out due to a lack of communication when it came to communicating the process to me. Once we finally got to the installation phase the experience was 10 times better, I got people I could call back, had numerous calls detailing the installation process and on the day the engineers that attended were spot on.

The booking process was far too complex and the Covid safety measures were over the top. The slot scheduling was fine. The installer arrived late but was otherwise good and explained everything to us

I was pleased that Pod-Point provided an end to end service however when filling in details I found I got to the payment screen very quickly and before getting an installation date-didn’t like this. Had to get wire moved as trip hazard. Charge rate not tested and set to trickle only ! Took two calls to get fixed -Lara M on second call was excellent.

The installation itself was very good, the electricians were efficient and friendly and gave us good advice about the opoeration of the charger. The booking process was difficult as POD Point made it difficult to talk to anyone to find out how long we would have to wait for approval and then for a time slot for installation. From the start of the process it took 4 weeks to get the charger installed which is a long time to wait when you have just bought your first electric car.
