The process to book the Pod-Point was quite simple and the team were really helpful on the phone in arranging installation on the day. However the installation wasn’t great. Sure the pod is installed where we required it but all the drilling mess wasn’t cleaned up by the engineer leaving a mess. One of the brackets that retain the thick power cable to the wall hadn’t been tightened up properly allowing the cable to detach in future if not tightened. I wasn’t present when the installer was working so my wife to it at face value everything was ok. I have looked closer at the cable install and notice one of the retaining clips has also snapped completely probably through being over tightened. The installer would have know this at the time but not bothered to replace the clip. Again this will snap soon and pose a potential trip hazard which isn’t great considering the voltage running down this cable. I have attached photos of the installation and haven’t plugged a car in yet to see if it has any other issues. Quite shoddy workmanship really given it is connected to my mains power at the inlet point so will be asking for someone to return and rectify.

Pod point has cancelled installation appointments 2 times, with no valid reason. However, the technician who finally today and installed the charger, is well trained , polite, and did a marvellous job, to which I thank him personally. M Dajani

Arranging the installation of the pod point was not very easy. There were multiple forms to submit and they didn’t contain all the information required

What a mess Pod Point administration is. We eventually made it to an installation ... but I was about to give up and go elsewhere. The Pod Point engineer was excellent. He arrived in the afternoon when we were expecting him in the morning. Even this was Pod Point administration getting the schedule wrong. The engineer, Zion, was patient, clear and precise in describing our options. His workmanship was neat and he left the place clean and tidy. Thank you Zion.

The remote survey was a little lengthy and confusing. The planned installation on Friday 18th didn’t go ahead but it was resolved and went ahead on 20th, thanks to Freddie at scheduling. The engineer - David - who attended on 20th was more than helpful, friendly and very efficient. He paid attention to detail and took time to explain the installation process as well as the operation of the pod. After a very shaky start to the whole process, David rescued the company’s reputation and did a wonderful job.

Finally we are delighted with our POD Point installation being completed in just 3 and half hours, even though we had to route the cabling through front living room. Our installer Jordan Bird did an excellent job to conceal the internal cabling and everything is working first time. We were very frustrated by the online DIY home survey, application/confusing pricing & appointment processes; then delayed for several months because of Covit challenges but now up and running. Jordan has given us confidence to recommend the actual end installation service. Stars only lost through initial administration and booking as it took 3 visits to complete.

An extraordinary delay between payment and actually getting to the installation. However the installation itself was painless and the installer was very friendly and helpful.

I thought the form we had to fill out prior to the visit was far too complicated. To be fair I have very odd house with multiple meters but I found it frustratingly tedious

We found the proof of paperwork very difficult. We felt the agent we dealt with did not explain what he wanted...eg that we had to get a letter sent straight from the dealership where we were buying the EV from.

Install was ok and engineer was good however time slot was 8 - 12 and engineer didn’t arrive until after 12 after I chased up the install team.

not sure why you have fill out a form (which crashes a lot), then speak to someone on the phone.....and then you have a completely different discussion with the engineer that comes out and we end up putting the charge point in a different area. carpets were left very dirty after installation engineer did not ask to check if the charger worked....when we plugged in surprise surprise in didn't work!! There was an issue with the fuse (which has still to be resolved)

PodPoint successfully delivered and working today 9/9. Ordered via Audi on the 12th August. Endless and neutral responses from the OLEV team to get the documents aligned. Car delivery Date 24th August. PodPoint sent email on 22nd for fitting 23rd. Fitter turned up on time 23rd, and advised the armoured cable to the garage was not big enough. Wasted trip. He had none of the extensive photos or documents I prepared and sent to PodPoint containing fuse/cable and location details. If these were looked at by a techical person, it would allowed the problem to have been spotted earlier and the works done to put in a new cable. A week later I received another booking for the same date 24th. This was changed to the 16th, totally unacceptable, I requested one this week. Meanwhile I had to spend £550 on professional installation of a new 6mm cable and data cable. Yesterday courier delivered a package for the fitter from Southampton. I confirmed arrival of parcel. PodPoint ops said they would tell the fitter. They did not. Both fitters good, and efficient, sadly there is a communications issue to them from the office.
