Great, but trying to plot without box tools or measuring guides lead to our planning being rejected and we had to re-plot the square.

quick and easy to do, but when delineating the boundary by the attach a red line option, the printed final version showed greater detail than on screen and revealed the red line was not as accurate as originally thought. In the end it made the plan unusable. Probably user error, but would have been good to have been able to go back in and correct it without paying another full fee.

The on-line agent responded quickly, and was helpful. I didn't find the drawing tool to be adequate. It wasn't intuitive and I didn't end up with a tidy result.

OK, well you did ask. The purchase process was fine. What was not fine was the absence of anything but basic line drawing tools to add to the maps. I was forced by my local Council planning department to buy two of these maps - a location plan (having already provided them with a 1:1 photocopy of a scale plan from the Land Registry) and a block plan (having already provided them with a much more detailed hand drawn scale plan). They did not accept either of these. I had to draw on the block plan the outline of a small summerhouse. Your line drawing tools did not allow me to draw something so small with sufficient accuracy. My planning department then subsequently asked me to annotate the map to indicate where the summerhouse was going to be. I couldn't do this because, by this time, I had already purchased the map and, in any case, as far as I could recall, you provide no tools for annotating the drawing. So, overall, it was not a great experience, mainly because of the demands of the planners. I can't think that my situation is unique (!), therefore I would suggest that you change the way you operate: (a) to provide an annotation tool so that elements of the drawing can be labelled - if you do provide this already, it is not obvious; and (b) allow scaling of the map (up and down) so that small scale additions can be made more accurately on a bigger scale version and then re-scaled to the level that the planners seem to want. The planning people have - grudgingly - accepted the block plan and have - equally grudgingly - agreed to annotate it themselves. That is fortunate as, had it been rejected, I would have been obliged to invoke your guarantee!

Service very good, but i find it hard to establish the property within the small map.

Much too expensive!

Thanks for the feedback, however we are cheaper than most other suppliers. Hope this helps.

My problem is having the names of the roads showing on the plans as it is required by planning, is there a way that at the time of capturing the section of the plan I need that it would be possible to write the names of the road on that section if it is not showing?

The plan was fine but the facility to edge the site red was clunky. A .dwg file would be better

Hi, we do offer dwg maps via www.mapserve.co.uk for future reference.

I actually had to buy two plans because the first one went wrong despite checking it. I emailed through querying but it wasn’t sorted. Very disappointed with response More like tough you made a mistake . On that day there was an offer for two plans so a refund would have been nice . It was difficult to see final plan look when going through to order and new to process. The second plan was fine .( but again couldn’t check it before ordering).

While it is easy to view and buy the plans, marking them up with red and blue for planning purposes is very poor, very inaccurate.

Sorry that you had a bad experience. The plans are the standard used for planning and by all other planning map suppliers. We can refund if the plan was rejected however that is very rare.

Once you know what you’re doing the site is fine but I ran into trouble with it not being the right size. The council rejected the plan for that reason. I tried the chat line but to be frank, I knew more than theY did and eventually worked it out myself. So not really impressed with the support. However, I managed to get a refund for getting the wrong plans and I thought the service was excellent. So I do trust the company.

I needed my plan for Land registry and the thickness of the line when drawing you boundries doesn't allow for accuracy. However, it was a very quick and easy process and I was offered a refund. Would definitely use again for planning maybe when accuracy isn't key.

Manipulating the site boundary line was not easy. I had a small site to outline in red and although I enlarged the view, the cursor would not accept the small square I was drawing. In the end I had to make do with a triangular shape not a square. Also although I wanted to buy 2 plans, I ended up having to buy them separately without the 10% discount as it was not clear at what point you had to buy the 2nd plan. PS I tried to upload the plan below to illustrate my point but it would not do so.

It worked and a I bought a pair of plans, and I'll use the service again. It wasn't exactly intuitive though to view and download a scale onto which I could add the required details for a planning application. In fact I ended up re-scaling what I'd bought in order to do that. And the site told me halfway through the process that I had 'nearly used up all my free views' and that I should 'place an order this time', when I already had one item in the basket and was struggling to work out what the best scale would be for my second purchase.

The plan itself wasn't too bad but the sizes of the maps needed to be increased or have a button that allows you to expand. When drawing on a very small piece of land, this is very difficult.

THE OVERALL TOOL WAS EASY TO USE BUT THE PLAN WAS NOT DETAILED ENOUGH AND WAS SUBSEQUENTLY REJECTED BY THE PLANNING COMMITTEE.

I needed to shade three arears on a plan a red area for the main property a blue area for the dustbin area and common arears and a green area for the garden. Unfortunately you only offered blue and red. Will be very helpful if had a green in addition to red and blue.

My recent purchase resulted in a second purchase as the plan included land that was not part of the application.

After Paying £30 for Location & Block Plans the local Council rejected the plans as there is a glitch on your software. I asked for Site boundaries in Red line and Property outline in Red But With both activated the print out had a black line where the Boundary & Property outlines are on Top of each other. This caused a delay in that our plans were not put through to planning committee on identified date causing delays to our Planning Permission
