Cancelled collection without telling me or trying to make contact. Had to go on tracker to find out.

Hi Ronan, Thanks for taking the time to write about your experience with ParcelDirect.ie. I am very sorry you were unaware of the cancellation, the driver could not find the address and the phone number provided was inactive. As soon as we became aware of this we re-booked the collection and had it there in the agreed delivery time. All the best, PD

After booking and paying in full on the website, courier failed to pickup the parcel THREE times. First time excuse was “insufficient address”,we checked with dispatcher, they had full address, eircode and phone no. After second "no show" dispatcher couldn't offer any explanation, just a promise to pickup the parcel “after the weekend”. Well guess what? Driver failed to show up on monday as well. No compensation or even formal apology. Not even straight refund. Now I have to write emails and wait if they agree to pay my money back. Absolutely can’t trust them. Actually I think its a bit of a scam because they don't deliver themselves and just use other companies as subcontractors so they cant guarantee either timely delivery or quality of service.

I do not recommend this company. Parcel was collected a day late for "next day" delivery. This then turned into a two- three day delivery. Customer services unhelpful and couldn't care less. I would suggest going direct to the courier company as they are a lot more professional.

A Parcel sent by express on Thursday last, for delivery in Roscommon Town on Friday, has yet to be delivered!

I've ordered a GLS delivery from Ireland to UK. I've been charged but the courier didn't come nor called me.

No courier showed, wasn't even given a morning or afternoon time for collection so had to stay in the house all day. Called the office 1st guy fobbed me off that they would "check" and call me back needless to say nobody called me. I called again and got a load of foboffery. 1st time to use this crowd and the last. UPDATE I got a couple of emails from parcel direct this morning they said my package would be collected today they even gave me a time frame 3-5PM. Yippee I thought and called my customer. Of course this was just so much old guff nothing was collected, I lost a customer because I couldn't deliver and I had to refund, now parcel direct have my money. This crowd are worse than useless

We spoke to our partners about the late collection and it seems the driver had vehicle trouble yesterday and was unable to complete all the collections on time. I decided to use ParcelDirect because it offered the cheapest shipping I could find to Italy. I booked the pickup about a week before asking to the CS if they would have been able to collect my parcel within the week and if the cancellation was free of charge. They confirmed, I had to cancdl the shipping and spent about two days calling their CS about the refund. Well, I’m still waiting to get my 40 euro back since November. Do not rely on them, I won’t in the future.

Your delivery was booked on the Wednesday 15th of November, picked up on Thursday 16th of November and delivered on Tuesday 21st of November, which is within the delivery time quoted. My urgent package sat in customs for a month - because the account name was different - I ordered with parcel direct who then outsourced to another company to deliver, because he names didn't match my package was left, many calls and emails and eventually it was delivered but not a good experience

I thought it will be quick and easy,but.. On a day of dropping of a parcel in a collection point,staff member in Spar shop, 1 Dorset Street Lower,Dublin,Ireland couldn't scan a bar code from enormous amount of tries. So,I decided to call Parcel Direct next day to find out. Staff member assured me,that after speaking to a shop manager,everything will be fine,asked me to go,and drop package next day. Next day,the story repeated exact same way,no one knows,what,where to scan etc.etc another day wasted to try. OK,calling Parcel Direct again. Staff member apologies and promises to come back to me.By the way I asked if I can drop package myself to FedEx facility (at this stage I had already enough)he says Yes,sure.I asked if it is OK to drop to FedEx at James Joyce street,he say-sure. OK,I went to mentioned street,-no luck(OMG) they only accepting letters at that facility... Eventually had to drive to Swords,FedEx main facility,had package was SENT. So,never,ever in my life.Avoid these at all cost. In m

Parcel damaged in transit, which ended up costing me money. Submitted a claim for compensation that was simply rejected out of hand. Will never use them again.

Disastrous. Didn't collect when they were supposed to on a Friday. It was only when I made contact that they discovered that the collection had been allocated to the wrong centre. Then had to wait all weekend before having the parcel collected eventually on the Monday. Delivery to the UK destination took longer than promised also. No customer service. Avoid.

Hi Arthur, Thanks very much for taking the time to write to us. I am very sorry for what happened with your shipment. I have had a look at your shipment and it does seem the collection request went to the wrong depot. Once we were made aware of this in the evening we contacted the courier to rectify this. Unfortunately couriers only work from Monday to Friday, so the next collection slot was the following Monday. From looking at the tracking it seems it was collected on the Monday and delivered on the Wednesday which would be within the timeframe. We are of course very sorry for your experience and if you choose to use us again we will guarantee a first rate service. All the best, PD

It would be remiss of me to go in with all guns blazing but parceldirect.ie have given me no choice, last August I sent a painting to Oxford, England, it was wrapped to an inch of its life with bubble wrap and corrugated board, the type used but auctioneers. After a little difficulty trying to get it into the system ( HxWxL part of submission is lacking) the parcel went on its way..... it arrived damaged, so badly damaged I had to send the artist over to repair the paint work. I informed parcel direct on many occasions and typical of the country we live in, plamassed to the high hilt. Nothing has been finalised and all I wanted was the €300 that the carrier automatically covers for, nothing more, nothing less... have changed companies as this will never be concluded.

Stephen: 2015 unresolved incident: these are my emails: Nobody has come to my house to pick up the parcels today (friday 13)!!!! Nobody answers the phone or my emails. What I am supposed to do??? Give my money back urgently! 193€. Order: PD0001560. Eugenia Lardizabal I am still waiting for your replay. The company has the responsibility to give our money back( 193€ al least!!). We have been to UPS (standard. Dublin) on Monday trying to send the 3 packages and the cost was very high. We were obliged to pay again for the delivery. The situation has been a disaster, we have had to leave the 3 packages (70 kg) in Ireland. We have lost lot of objects (electric appliances, clothes, cooking utensils, toys, etc) and money. I look forward to your reply as soon as possible. Eugenia We are really pissed, we just want the money back (193 euro). How many phone calls (and emails) have we made since the 13th of March?? every single week we waste money for nothing, the kind of answers we receive are "the boss isn´t here, call later" or "we will call you back", but I am still waiting..., or " don´t worry the money will be soon in you bank account ", which is not true, and so on... and regarding to the emails you never reply. Worst service ever! They didn't provide the ordered service, charged the full amount in advance and refused to refund. Had to wait over three months and got my money from the bank via charge back claim. I will never use their service again!

You chose our pallet service, but did not have a pallet or your items prepared for delivery. We did try to arrange another service for parcels, but you would not accept this. We did return the money directly to your credit card. But again I am so sorry you did not have a good experience with our company and I do hope you will consider using us again, All the best, PD
