“Handy that you're able to order replacement parts, as my son's lid/plastic spout had cracked after falling on the floor. Great product. Have purchased a second bottle for other son. Took over one month to arrive with two emails to chase up order. Would be handy if this lead time was stated when purchasing.”

Hi there, sorry for the issue. I'm not quite sure why this order took so long to get to you. I can assure you orders are processed within 24hrs Monday to Friday, and shipped 24-48hrs with royal mail. Apologies again for the issue and as I say this instance is very rare indeed. Many thanks

“Love bottles but the caps are terrible. My children have dropped their bottles and the lid cracked 4 times now. Not child friendly at all. I can’t bring myself to buy anymore.”

Hi there, so sorry to hear this. We use polypropylene to make the caps as these are the most readily recyclable, also no nasty leaching chemicals. Due to this fact they can be more brittle if knocked and dropped many times. We do have other spare steel caps and knob caps which are more hard wearing if they are prone to falls. I hope this helps? “Really hard to see the true colour of the bottles and sloop handles on the website so ended up ordering one that was totally the wrong colour. No free returns either so will have to pay to send it back as well as pay for shipping. Bottles themselves are nice but quite expensive”

Thanks for your review, and sorry to hear you feel this way. We very rarely hear of issues with the colours on the website. We try to ensure the colours are true to real life in the imagery. It can be difficult when viewing on various contrast screens and from a pc, to a phone to an iPad for example. Screen contrasts can make a difference. “I do love the bottles, they are great. Have one for me and one for my daughter. It's also great to be able to buy extra lids BUT, I find they break very easily and often, a small drop and the lid cracks and then it leaks. I have bought numerous new tops for both mine and my daughters.”

Hi Rachel, Thanks for your review and glad to hear you love the bottles. Regarding the caps we use polypropylene which can be more brittle, and if frequently dropped can break as this material doesn't have the leachy toxins in like other plastics. It is also more readily recyclable which is more eco friendly. We do have metal caps and knob caps which are more hardy for knocks and falls. I hope this helps? Thanks

“I love One Green Bottle, however, I am forever having to buy new bottle tops as they break easily. I currently have 5 bottles that my children use for school and I find them ideal, particularly in the summer as it keeps their drinks cold throughout the school day. However, I may have to look for an alternative moving forward because the added expense of repkacing the lid/caps means they are no longer cost-effective for me, which is a shame.”

In order to sell caps which do not leach micro plastics, the polypropylene is a more brittle material to to the nasty harder plastics. Thanks

Hi Helen Thanks for your review. Sorry to hear you didn't like the colour of your bottle. We haven't had this query with this bottle before. On various screens colour can look slightly different from mobile to desktop etc and contrast settings. We are happy to refund items which are in a new/unused state. Many thanks

“I was really happy when I first received my new water bottle with sports cap only a few months ago. Unfortunately the caps aren’t very good and this is the third cap I’ve had to buy. I carry my water bottle everywhere and every time the bottle has fallen the lid cracks and breaks, which doesn’t make it a sustainable product for me. When replacing the cap I also can’t get a matching colour. I’ll be shopping elsewhere in future.”

So sorry to hear about the issues with the broken cap. Our caps are made from BPS/BPA and phthalate-free polypropylene. We use this material as it’s the most readily recyclable plastic material, one of the only plastics that can be recycled many times and is universally collected for its commodity value. We are now making our caps from ocean-sourced polypropylene. This circular economy adds future value to discarded polypropylene and means it is less likely to be dumped and more likely to be recycled and also less likely to degrade and cause microplastic problems. Polypropylene doesn’t leach any toxins into your drinks and is also very durable if looked after but it is slightly more brittle than softer plastics – it is the plasticisers that contain the harmful chemicals in plastics. The softer plastics are also less likely to be recycled and have a shorter span of recycling opportunities. Our warranty covers manufacturing issues, but not accidental damage, such as falls. If you are concerned that your bottle is likely to be dropped, we recommend harder-wearing caps like our knob cap or all steel cap. “I really want to love these bottles but everyone in the family including adults have issues with the lids. A small tumble and the lids are gone. Not dishwasher safe either even on top rack, caused the lid to go from leakproof to leaking.”

HI there, We have thoroughly tested these to check what they can and cannot go through. They are dishwasher safe on the top drawer, but it should only be a cool wash and depend what detergent you are using. I hope this helps? Thanks

“I absolutely love my bottle it keeps the water so nice and cold for hours but unfortunately the plastic lids are so prone to cracking with small knocks. I’ve gone through 3 replacement lids now and they are just not durable enough - is there a mon-plastic or stronger alternative?!”

Hi Vanessa sorry to hear this. Our caps are made from bpa/bps free polypropylene. It hasnt got any of the nasty hormone mimicking chemicals that softer plastics have and it the only safe option for plastics. We are working on developing our caps to include bumpers so if they are dropped when full onto hard surfaces they are less likely to break. “Order received promptly and very well packaged. I also like the company's philosophy. I was a little disappointed with the products, however, as the sports bottle had a funny smell that lingered for a while even after cleaning and rinsing thoroughly several times. Also, it stated that the bottles stay cold which it didn't really. I have not tried it with hot drinks yet. Overall rather disappointed, glad I didn't pay full price.”

Hello. Sorry to hear of these issues. Could you please confirm your order details or name so that we can check which product you ordered and investigate. Stainless steel is very inert and doesn't absorb odours so the bottle must have had residues from drinks or rinse water. These are easy to resolve and we can send you a link to show most effective ways to clean stainless steel and remove odours.

Hi there, I'm afraid we do not cover accidental damage. We try to ensure additional costs are not passed onto our customers. Our caps are BPS/BPA free so can be a little more brittle than harsh chemical leaching plastics. Plus ours are recyclable. Thanks
