“I registered my job on this site and received quotes for a re-roof of my property. I decided to pic E&M Roofing and Maintenance, and I’m very glad I did. I am totally satisfied with the work carried out by Scott and his team on our re-roof. The initial quote was face to face and Scott took the time to explain what was needed and the best tiles to use even providing a selection of tiles to choose from. The date was set to be carried out in November but due to my fault the roof was fitted just before Christmas. Thanks for your patience whilst I sorted things out. When the work began the team arrived nice and early and were very polite and friendly from the start. We were amazed at how hard the team worked and how efficient they were. Within 3 days we had a new roof (that looks fabulous), new fascia’s, guttering and down pipes as well as a ground and repointed chimney. Scott was very inclusive explaining every step of the process as well as allowing me to see the stages for myself. Many thanks to E&M Roofing for a fabulous job with great friendly service. We wish all the team a very happy Xmas and a prosperous New Year. Thank you 👍”

“Through 'myjobquote', ( job no: YGI - V85NGP)I hired an electrician called FRANK.SPARK, to give me an EICR certificate. He quoted me £120 which I accepted and paid him for in advance as he insisted.. He then said I needed some work done for the certificate and quoted me £164 for materials and £280 labour. Again he wanted payment in advance. I should have seen the warning flags, I guess by now. He did the work and it took me nearly a week of daily chasing to get the certificate and invoice. My tenant told me he completed the work in 30/35 minutes!! This equates to a staggering almost £560 per hour!! My advice is be VERY cautious about using this man. Check how many hours the work would take, which I didn't do, to my cost. I'm a pensioner and told him this but it still didn't stop him from doing this to me. I have subsequently found out through this site that electricians typically charge around £200 PER DAY, NOT PER HALF HOUR!! I know I've been too trusting, should have asked more questions and not paid in advance as he insisted. I've since done some research into him and his other trading/banking names. I should have done this. Learn from my mistakes, please.”
