“We were very pleased with Matthew (gardener)when he came at short notice to sort out our garden. However he is not reliable and has not turned up an several occassions Including twice this week. We would not use him again and would not recommend him. He trades as Matthew Castle gardener from Emsworth.”

“I've been a professional with MyJobQuote for three years, and spent hundreds with them purchasing their £7 - £15 paid leads (which they advertise as "free" to the public). I recently asked them to refund a non- responsive lead, and they firmly refused as it was out of their "24 hour window".. unlike Bark.com, who will at least sometimes refund leads that won't answer your calls or return your texts, (as 24 hours isn't very long for many people who work to reply) I said, OK, that's a shame as I'm quite busy at work and looking to purchase credit packs on my main websites i use (MyJobQuote.co.uk and Bark.com) and am hesitant due to the inflexibility of your refund policy (which i rarely ask for), but it's your choice. No response. A few days later, I went to purchase a (£12.60) lead and saw that my credit balance had gone from 57, down to 10! (I paid for 51, and 6 were for credits from replies to questions on their site, only answered a week ago.) I got in touch, and they asked me to confirm how many were lost and they would "look into it." No reply. A few days later I go to purchase a (£7.40) lead with what i thought i had left - and now my credit balance is down to 3! I emailed their support about this further issue, who still hadn't replied to the previous message from 4 days ago yesterday, and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. No telephone number, and clearly not replying to emails 24/7, unlike Bark.. a lot of my bidding happens at the weekend! It's unfortunate, as the leads have been decent when you can find them, but the customer service and support to the tradesmen who pay their wages really let's them down - and frankly, other sites have a much higher volume of potential leads and a (slightly) more transparent bidding structure. UPDATE - They are adamant that they won't refund the credits I paid for, or the free credits I earned for answering their questions - apparently, credits (even purchased) expire after 6 months! Unfortunately, I was out of the country for a number of months due to a grievance and sorting their affairs, so I didn't have a chance to use up all of them before I left - they didn't care. They also sign emails anonymously, and won't confirm multiple name requests (a little creepy, considering the person(s) I'm speaking to know all my details..) If I treated my clients this way, I'd have no business! Shocking customer service.”

“AVOID MYJOBQUOTE !!!!!!!!!!!! Very bad experience I am a carpenter and i purchased a job from myjobquote to replace 2 worktops After i have recived all contact details for the client i call the client and after i introduce myself he reply to me “you leave to far away from,i don’t need your services,By” and hang up the phone i have disputed the job straight away but they said unfortunately they can’t refund the money this is just ridiculous and i will never use them again other experience i have with them in the past i have open an account with them and i top up my account £100 and i use about £25 and i stop using them for a while …when i come back to this website i was expected to have £75 on my account but my balance was £0 so i contacted myjobquote and they said because i have not use my account for long period they had to suspend my account and that’s why my balance is zero …they offer me £10 credit for the inconvenience created…this is a completely joke”

“Beware of Martin from west midland roofing & home improvements he quoted me £650 for a small top of bay window roof repair got him down to £550 and although he came very quickly and completed the job very quickly in half an hour he put whatever he had bought over the tiles and top of roof gave me 10 years guarantee which isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. The materials are inferior and after just a week the roof was leaking again I contacted him on Monday evening and told him the problem and was out with his children so said he would contact me the next day after other phone calls from me I have had no reply not that I would trust him to fix the job anyway”

“I got ripped off by one of the tradesmen listed on their website - Calls himself Will Hauges (also known as Liam) from The Luxury Bathroom Co/Elite Bathroom - When I asked what actual ID checks had been carried out by Quote My Job, I was told they could not give this information. This defeats the object of advertising the fact that ID checks are done.”

“So disappointed. Myjobquote forwarded me a name of a tradesperson to do my house painting. Paid this tradesperson £300 to buy the paint and he has failed to do the job. This was nearly 2 months ago. Unfortunately I have been scammed!! I really think this site should compensate me as I would never have heard about this tradesperson if I hadn’t used their website. Be careful when using this site as they put me n touch with a conman!!! I am now in the unfortunate position whereby I have to go through a small claims court to retrieve my money. Thankfully, I have all the evidence from text messages on my phone and my bank transfer payment. Lesson learnt is not to pay up front again.”

“Very rubbish website to use as a trader you could spend £1000 on buying jobs only to find out that more than half of the clients have the wrong information or are unable to be contacted. My job quote will never give the money back and are now hardly posting 10 jobs a day.”

“Fibcom came for the Job on 29/05/2022 ...Gave me a quote of £200 and collected £100 immediately promised to complete the job on the 7/06/2022 but has not turned up to do the job nor refunded the money......he has continously given different excuses to date ... I have the receipt of money paid but no job done 2 months after..now he is avoiding my calls.....I feel ripped and defrauded using your service for the first time. Report to the website with evidence and they said they've stopped the builder's account but apparently HE IS STILL on the WEBSITE scamming people. “I live in Cumbria and I posted a small job with MyJobQuote, simply to clean out the gutters of my house. I got one response - it was from "WN Roofing and Building Services". Three young men, led by a JAMES MILLER turned up and immediately found a second problem, then a third, then a fourth, which ended up with a Bill for £3,500 which I challenged. Eventually Mr Miller reduced this to £3000 which he asked to be paid to himself. As an 84 year old I cannot climb ladders, so cannot inspect the work done. This Company might have a connection with the registered Company "WN Roofing and Building Contractors" based in Scotland as Mr. Miller said he had previously worked in Glasgow. One of the crew also said that I wouldn't be receiving any other quotes. Why not? A question only "MyJobQuote" can answer, as there are plenty of local Roofing Companies listed on their site, (though I can't see WN Roofing and Building Services") . Mr. Wilson conducted all business by mobile phone and used the local library's printer when asked for hard copy. I would advise others with roofing problems to avoid using JAMES MILLER and his crew.”
