“I was looking for Van Excess for a European road trip. The options were too limiting and the tool did not work as required.”

HI Thomas, I am afraid vehicle excess insurers offering European van hire cover are few and far between. The number of people wanting the hire a van for a European road trip is very small - and that's why most insurers do not feel it worthwhile to create such a product. We did display one to you but it is expensive (as van claims are more frequent that those for cars), and has an excess and I notice you did not click out to the insurer, so I guess you decided it was not for you. We are actually in the process of both carrying out due diligence on a second option and are also talking to another insurer about them developing a European van excess policy, so I am hopeful that we can can come up trumps for you in the future, but as at today I am afraid we can't. “My initial attempt to obtain cover resulted in the price quoted on Moneymax's site being inflated by some 60%! However, I am pleased to report that following a conversation with the "gaffa" of Moneymaxim, he kindly took me through the procedure again and - BINGO - I got the cover at the price I expected. Obviously, my fault. Thank you Mark for your excellent customer service.”

“Easy to use and found a product which met my needs. The only improvement I can suggest is that having followed the link from moneysavingsexpert, which gave a code, it was not clear when paying whether the code had been automaticaly applied. As I could see no way to enter a code, I assumed it had been applied but this could have been clearer.”

“When we applied we were met on the phone by a man named MARK this person bent over backwards to help us through the process he was exceptionally polite and understanding because we are not the best with computer s I will recommend you firm 10 out of 10 and done very quickly excellent service”
