“Waste of my time. Had to answer all the questions only to be told I can’t be covered because I live on the Isle of Man. So I went elsewhere and obtained coverage”

“Great site. The fact that you can filter requirements makes it so much easier to find what you need. When I did, the policy prices were so much cheaper than going with the hire companies extortionate extra cover. Loads of time and money saved!”

You have bought a standard annual excess insurance which is ideal for the vast majority of car hires in Europe - so it would be very unusual for you to need anything different, but if you do want to call and check we are here to help. Hi Rayna Thanks for your review. We too are disappointed that you faced that issue - I think it came about as you were using online chat and they were trying to find an online solution whereas they could have processed the booking for you over the phone. “I tried to book insurance with a company called Leisure Guard through the MoneyMaxim website, as they seem to find the best deals. Leisure Guard’s website corrupted twice, just as I authorised payment. No confirmation emails but they still took my money, twice! Someone from Money Maxim phoned me and explained that the problem was with the Leisure Guard website. Money Maxim were very helpful and got me my refund. If it hadn’t been for the stress of being charged twice for nothing by Leisure Guard, my experience with Money Maxim would have been perfect.”

“A simple to use comparison site for insurance, cheaper than my last 2 years of cover with icarinsurance which turned out to be miss sold as it didn't cover me for the hire company I use although the sale rep assured me they covered Greenmotion, so now with AXA .”
